  1. Oblivion+crash=Normal? Well, yes. You get an A+ for that answer!
  2. I'm having loads of trouble with the Landscape Editor. The textures don't update, and when they do, it's the wrong texture. I have to toggle everything on/off a million times, press F5, save the plugin, and the press F5 again, turn Landscape Editing off, and repeat that in a different order just to see my new texturing. Am I doing something wrong? I'm moving the door at the Waterfront to where it should come out on the other side of the wall like the other districts, and I want to make a cobblestone path but the Landscape editor's being an Imperial pain in my arse. How do I get the textures to update on a realtime basis?
  3. I had to reinstall everything on my laptop, starting with Windows itself. So now I've got everything working perfectly. Except in one of my mods, Waterfront Shack Redux, I cannot select things in the render window. I can select and move things in other cells, just not this one. I've tried resetting numerous things, deleting my .ini files, and a few other things but for now I've just been using "right click > edit > (use the arrow buttons to change values)" thing. Any suggestions/fixes? everything is up-to-date.
  4. So, you are given the choice in the beginning too create your character, and while from a lore perspective, the default starting race is an Imperial without a name. However, the Player in the Construction Set does have a name, and I'm taking this to be the lore-perspective Hero's name: "Bendu Olo". If you open the CS and go through the Actor list and find "Player, their name is listed as Bendu Olo. I'm not a lore expert, but that doesn't really seem like an Imperial's name. More like a Breton name. http://i.imgur.com/BULAsBlh.png
  5. Okay, so I re-installed Oblivion for the 100th time, the disc is getting small chips at this point from so many inserts, just waiting for the old CD-ROM to snap in half one of these days. I swear this is one of the last remaining original discs from the original March 2006 release. Comment if you still have yours! Anyways, I've reinstalled and I would like a list of mandatory mods. I've updated to the latest and I'm D/Ling the UOP now. I've got my own Alternate Start mod that I use. I'm thinking the Skyrim Khajiit mod that I always use, but it's low-res and I want some higher resolution textures for it. Anybody got any ideas?
  6. I've been wanting this since I'm sick of having to open up the local map every damn time I need to go somewhere close.
  7. Although I browse the Steam Workshop often most of the stuff I actually download has links over here, and I generally find the forums and people over here to be more enjoyable than over on Steam (probably because of the n00b factor, it's easier to keep a single Steam account than to have both a Steam and a Nexus account). I'll head over to ModDB and see what's over there. I've never heard of Maskar's OO, will look. OBIS is the bandit mod, right? And Sands of Time...I'll look. If not I'll make the mod myself, thinking a +30 or +40 level multiplier. I'm already on Legendary difficulty, but it's still too easy. I'll ask Bethesda if they can make a "pure suicide" difficulty level. And I read my last post...A level 18 master destruction wizard...Wow. Also, what is the script/file that dictates difficulty? I want to edit it and see how hard I can make things.
  8. So I'm looking for a few mods. Currently, I'm a level 37 mage with 100 destruction and I plan on keeping it at 100. If it weren't for console commands, I'd be at about 18. I have Marcurio as a follower (because he's a mage). I have about 22000 gold from adventuring, I've married Ysolda, adopted the child from Whiterun and fully completed the College of winterhold main questline. I've downloaded Skyrim Unbound and skipped the main Skyrim quest, no dragons. I'm looking for something a bit harder, and I've got Falskaar but it's acting up a little. Is there a mod that raises the NPC level multiplier? I am also looking for a mod where your follower can buy their own items and use spell tomes that you give them, buy clothing/armor that suits their class (Marcurio is "an apprentice mage, not a pack mule"). I am also looking for a mod that adds more creatures that have a high level multiplier. I've got Thunderbolt and Incinerate as my favorite spells (I have SkyUI of course). I also want something that lets Marcurio use Vlindrel Hall (my house) as his home/apartment as well, since he's my follower and my /bro/. I will be extending it and adding a bed for him myself. I've already got a bunch of mods active, I've got Skyrim Wrye Bash. I would like something similar to Mart's Monster Mod from Oblivion and something similar to Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul from Oblivion. Can anybody point me anywhere?
  9. I remember in Oblivion that in the Imperial City there were shops for each type of thing, there were sword-specific shops, staff-specific, shield-specific, spell-specific, clothing-specific, etc. very item-specific shops all around. Are there any mods (or even just a collection) of mods that does this to Skyrim? I was thinking of making one myself but that would take more time than I currently have with some of my mods I'm working on already.
  10. In response to post #25915459. Here* I was born in Russia while it was still the USSR, so...Offense taken. ;)
  11. So I am a big fan of the MTG universe, Ravnica in particular. I'm working on a personal mod I might release later, but I need a standalone robe that I can legally mod just the textures for. My best area is texturing and I have no idea how to make 3D models. I do better in a 2D workspace, 3D is just confusing and there's too much going on. I envy the 3D modelers. If anybody has a robe that they're tired of working on and they have at least a texture outline that I might be able to finish, I would appreciate that. In particular, if there are 10 robes, that would be super cool. I'm trying to re-make the Ravnica guilds in Skyrim. I only need 1 robe for the Izzet League, (red and blue) but 10 for all of the guilds. If anybody can point me towards resources, or how to change tags and textures in NIFSkope so IU can use the vanilla models, that would also be really cool.
  12. My latest character has just started leveling the magic stuff, because I ran out of warrior skills. Wall of Flames! Wall of Flames everywhere! We can discuss characters in a PM if you like. This is for mod suggestions. And thisaccountisuseless.
  13. Surely you are allowed to enchant your sword? Dull old blade can barely cut butter. Thaneship would be temp revoked, although you'd keep your follower. Yes, you can enchant. I mean like destruction spells and crap like that (I'm not dissing magic, I'm a level 32 all-destruction Arch-Mage of skyrim right now)
  14. Adds a new playable faction, quests, and position. 1. Choose city/town to become a guard 2. Complete training with new training areas added by mod 3. Start career as a guard, including weekly pay, amount depending upon rank in city guard 4. Career includes daily duties, cleaning up the city/town, rounding up escaped animals without killing them, stopping thieves on the side of the road, stopping pickpockets (Brenuin!), people creating disturbances (Heimskir) people robbing stores in the middle of the night (such as Warmaidens, lockpicking, etc.) 5. Includes days off, random event locations, and chosen uniform can't be dropped but weighs nothing, includes free food at local chosen city tavern. 6. Once all of those things are done, you can choose to become Captain of the Guard and move cities, where the quests repeat 7. Once ALL holds and towns are completed, you can start radiant quests 8. Advantages of being a guard: You get more crime warnings for crimes you commit, weekly pay, and free food and some basic potions 9. CANNOT USE MAGIC WHILE IN UNIFORM AND ON DUTY 10. Reassignments (occasional) 11. Free weapons! 12. More positive rep once you start quests 13. The Jarl might assign side-quests 14. Become the Jarl's bodyguard at certain points during the mod, protecting against the Dark Brotherhood 15. You must give up your relationship to the Dark Brotherhood and the Thieve's Guild during this quest, those quests are reset (?) 16. Why hasn't ANYBODY thought of this yet!?
  15. So I've re-done Dragonsreach already, but I want to redo every interior in the game. Dragonsreach looks f***ing FANTASTIC, I'm putting another video on Youtube right now, but someone asked that I do other areas. Does this mod exist already? I know every interior is quite a task but I've without a job so I've got nothing better to do. Does anybody support this? The only thing...it eats my frames like a fat kid eats Twinkies.
