  1. Oblivion+crash=Normal? Well, yes. You get an A+ for that answer!
  2. I'm having loads of trouble with the Landscape Editor. The textures don't update, and when they do, it's the wrong texture. I have to toggle everything on/off a million times, press F5, save the plugin, and the press F5 again, turn Landscape Editing off, and repeat that in a different order just to see my new texturing. Am I doing something wrong? I'm moving the door at the Waterfront to where it should come out on the other side of the wall like the other districts, and I want to make a cobblestone path but the Landscape editor's being an Imperial pain in my arse. How do I get the textures to update on a realtime basis?
  3. I had to reinstall everything on my laptop, starting with Windows itself. So now I've got everything working perfectly. Except in one of my mods, Waterfront Shack Redux, I cannot select things in the render window. I can select and move things in other cells, just not this one. I've tried resetting numerous things, deleting my .ini files, and a few other things but for now I've just been using "right click > edit > (use the arrow buttons to change values)" thing. Any suggestions/fixes? everything is up-to-date.
  4. So, you are given the choice in the beginning too create your character, and while from a lore perspective, the default starting race is an Imperial without a name. However, the Player in the Construction Set does have a name, and I'm taking this to be the lore-perspective Hero's name: "Bendu Olo". If you open the CS and go through the Actor list and find "Player, their name is listed as Bendu Olo. I'm not a lore expert, but that doesn't really seem like an Imperial's name. More like a Breton name. http://i.imgur.com/BULAsBlh.png
  5. Okay, so I re-installed Oblivion for the 100th time, the disc is getting small chips at this point from so many inserts, just waiting for the old CD-ROM to snap in half one of these days. I swear this is one of the last remaining original discs from the original March 2006 release. Comment if you still have yours! Anyways, I've reinstalled and I would like a list of mandatory mods. I've updated to the latest and I'm D/Ling the UOP now. I've got my own Alternate Start mod that I use. I'm thinking the Skyrim Khajiit mod that I always use, but it's low-res and I want some higher resolution textures for it. Anybody got any ideas?
  6. I've been wanting this since I'm sick of having to open up the local map every damn time I need to go somewhere close.
  7. Although I browse the Steam Workshop often most of the stuff I actually download has links over here, and I generally find the forums and people over here to be more enjoyable than over on Steam (probably because of the n00b factor, it's easier to keep a single Steam account than to have both a Steam and a Nexus account). I'll head over to ModDB and see what's over there. I've never heard of Maskar's OO, will look. OBIS is the bandit mod, right? And Sands of Time...I'll look. If not I'll make the mod myself, thinking a +30 or +40 level multiplier. I'm already on Legendary difficulty, but it's still too easy. I'll ask Bethesda if they can make a "pure suicide" difficulty level. And I read my last post...A level 18 master destruction wizard...Wow. Also, what is the script/file that dictates difficulty? I want to edit it and see how hard I can make things.
  8. So I'm looking for a few mods. Currently, I'm a level 37 mage with 100 destruction and I plan on keeping it at 100. If it weren't for console commands, I'd be at about 18. I have Marcurio as a follower (because he's a mage). I have about 22000 gold from adventuring, I've married Ysolda, adopted the child from Whiterun and fully completed the College of winterhold main questline. I've downloaded Skyrim Unbound and skipped the main Skyrim quest, no dragons. I'm looking for something a bit harder, and I've got Falskaar but it's acting up a little. Is there a mod that raises the NPC level multiplier? I am also looking for a mod where your follower can buy their own items and use spell tomes that you give them, buy clothing/armor that suits their class (Marcurio is "an apprentice mage, not a pack mule"). I am also looking for a mod that adds more creatures that have a high level multiplier. I've got Thunderbolt and Incinerate as my favorite spells (I have SkyUI of course). I also want something that lets Marcurio use Vlindrel Hall (my house) as his home/apartment as well, since he's my follower and my /bro/. I will be extending it and adding a bed for him myself. I've already got a bunch of mods active, I've got Skyrim Wrye Bash. I would like something similar to Mart's Monster Mod from Oblivion and something similar to Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul from Oblivion. Can anybody point me anywhere?
  9. I remember in Oblivion that in the Imperial City there were shops for each type of thing, there were sword-specific shops, staff-specific, shield-specific, spell-specific, clothing-specific, etc. very item-specific shops all around. Are there any mods (or even just a collection) of mods that does this to Skyrim? I was thinking of making one myself but that would take more time than I currently have with some of my mods I'm working on already.
  10. In response to post #25915459. Here* I was born in Russia while it was still the USSR, so...Offense taken. ;)
  11. So I am a big fan of the MTG universe, Ravnica in particular. I'm working on a personal mod I might release later, but I need a standalone robe that I can legally mod just the textures for. My best area is texturing and I have no idea how to make 3D models. I do better in a 2D workspace, 3D is just confusing and there's too much going on. I envy the 3D modelers. If anybody has a robe that they're tired of working on and they have at least a texture outline that I might be able to finish, I would appreciate that. In particular, if there are 10 robes, that would be super cool. I'm trying to re-make the Ravnica guilds in Skyrim. I only need 1 robe for the Izzet League, (red and blue) but 10 for all of the guilds. If anybody can point me towards resources, or how to change tags and textures in NIFSkope so IU can use the vanilla models, that would also be really cool.
  12. My latest character has just started leveling the magic stuff, because I ran out of warrior skills. Wall of Flames! Wall of Flames everywhere! We can discuss characters in a PM if you like. This is for mod suggestions. And thisaccountisuseless.
  13. Surely you are allowed to enchant your sword? Dull old blade can barely cut butter. Thaneship would be temp revoked, although you'd keep your follower. Yes, you can enchant. I mean like destruction spells and crap like that (I'm not dissing magic, I'm a level 32 all-destruction Arch-Mage of skyrim right now)
  14. Adds a new playable faction, quests, and position. 1. Choose city/town to become a guard 2. Complete training with new training areas added by mod 3. Start career as a guard, including weekly pay, amount depending upon rank in city guard 4. Career includes daily duties, cleaning up the city/town, rounding up escaped animals without killing them, stopping thieves on the side of the road, stopping pickpockets (Brenuin!), people creating disturbances (Heimskir) people robbing stores in the middle of the night (such as Warmaidens, lockpicking, etc.) 5. Includes days off, random event locations, and chosen uniform can't be dropped but weighs nothing, includes free food at local chosen city tavern. 6. Once all of those things are done, you can choose to become Captain of the Guard and move cities, where the quests repeat 7. Once ALL holds and towns are completed, you can start radiant quests 8. Advantages of being a guard: You get more crime warnings for crimes you commit, weekly pay, and free food and some basic potions 9. CANNOT USE MAGIC WHILE IN UNIFORM AND ON DUTY 10. Reassignments (occasional) 11. Free weapons! 12. More positive rep once you start quests 13. The Jarl might assign side-quests 14. Become the Jarl's bodyguard at certain points during the mod, protecting against the Dark Brotherhood 15. You must give up your relationship to the Dark Brotherhood and the Thieve's Guild during this quest, those quests are reset (?) 16. Why hasn't ANYBODY thought of this yet!?
  15. So I've re-done Dragonsreach already, but I want to redo every interior in the game. Dragonsreach looks f***ing FANTASTIC, I'm putting another video on Youtube right now, but someone asked that I do other areas. Does this mod exist already? I know every interior is quite a task but I've without a job so I've got nothing better to do. Does anybody support this? The only thing...it eats my frames like a fat kid eats Twinkies.
  16. Wait, Skyrim uses the Oblivion engine? Then why is it so slow? I barely get 15 frames in Skyrim yet I get 50+ in Oblivion! I can play Oblivion on maximum settings yet Skyrim has to run at 320x240 for more than 30 frames!
  17. I've got Skyrim and I left Task Manager open while I had an 800x450 windowed Skyrim session open. It turns out that Skyrim only uses 512MB of my RAM (I have 4GiB total, 1.77GiB is utilised by the GFX card for shared memory) and a dual core 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with a 2MB L2 chache. I know this H/W is nowhere near good enough, but it works well enough for me. I noticed that when playing the game in Whiterun/Dragonsreach I had only 50 percent CPU usage, 22 percent GFX usage, and while loading exterior cells (Whiterun/Whiterun Plains) there was only 85 percent CPU usage and 12 percent GFX usage. I need to increase these numbers. Any ideas? In Markarth I only get 72 percent CPU and 34 percent GFX usage. Why is this happening?
  18. I don't really want any large files, my Data folder is already bloated (19GiB). I play a maximum levelled character at 96 (I know it can go higher but 96 is when things are perfectly levelled on Legendary for me) with all perks and all skills Legendary and at 100. I want some armor that is like a "Heavy Armor thief/assassin" sing my top used skills are sneak, lockpicking and heavy armor, and the only weapons in my inventory are a dagger, a bow, and just under 2000 arrows. I have Ebony Mail, the Nightingale Hood, and ebony gauntlets and boots, with the Bandolier bags mod. I'm looking for something like "Heavy Nightingale Armor" that classifies as heavy armor, and offers a lot of protection. Would it be better to just make it myself? I really like the Ebony Mail enchantment and want to keep it. He likes to poison people, too. Something I have in mind is: Heavy Nightingale Armor with Ebony Mail enchantment Am I better off just spending 30 minutes and using the CK myself, or are there any badass armors out there that will look equally as cool? current character is pictured below. http://i.imgur.com/qNAUqWYl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/O6MltgAl.jpg
  19. Yes. A sword made of bread. I used Paint to make a concept: http://i.imgur.com/72a36Ljl.jpg Just imagine the killcam! A huge piece of bread going through a leveled bandit's chest, all bloody n' sh*t. BWAHAHAHAHA!!! It would probably be a god weapon or something, and have some insanely stupid and difficult quest to acquire. That would make my game so much better! A bread greatsword! Oh! Six inch: Bread Dagger Twelve Inch: Bread Shortsword (you can edit the reach of the sword to maybe 1.75 times the reach of a dagger) Twenty Four inch: Bread Sword Thirty Six inch: Baguette Blade (greatsword, 2H) I got the idea while I was walking down the street with my own baguette. I wondered, how much would this hurt if you hit someone with it as hard as you could? The answer: A friggin' lot. I had a buddy of mine hit me on the stomach. Ouch!
  20. I'm working on a custom mod involving making a horse a potential follower, marryable, and have audible dialogue. I haven't been able to figure out how to add the follower dialogue option "Ride" for to just get on the horse and ride it. I've initiated follower dialogue and marriage options with ease. It's just that...It's a horse and I can't ride it...
  21. Look, I don't know what you're trying to prove. if you wanted to start a fight, you got what you wanted. I don't care what you have to say about superiority, what you think about what I'm doing, et cetera. Go ahead, criticise my mods, go ahead, talk s#*! about other people regardless of whether or not they could be thinking about ending their own lives, to satisfy whatever strange desire you have to carry out conversations like this. I don't give a rat's ass what you think I have. I don't have superiority complex, I'm not victimising, I don't hate myself, and I definitely don't resent anything. So whatever you're trying to do..it's not working. The world continues to revolve around the sun and at the end of the day we're all still here. I'm done with this conversation. You can have the last word, I won't reply. Say whatever retarded bullcrap you have to say in response, I've elevated myself above you at this point. You are obviously doing this for your own personal satisfaction, like a bully in school. You obviously enjoy getting a rise out of people with insinuations, assumptions, and judgements when you know nothing about the person. Congratulations, you are what's wrong with the Internet and the rest of the world. And you' will probably do this again the next time somebody like me makes a post like this, except somebody will actually probably kill themselves. You're self-righteous, arrogant, haughty, conceited, self-important, egotistic, superior; overbearing, pompous, bumptious, presumptuous, imperious, and in my opinion quite the asshole. Good luck getting by later in life when you have someone like yourself for a boss. I'm done here. Have a nice night. Moderators, do what you see fit with this thread. It's pointless now. As for the behaviour conducted on this thread, I take accountability for what I've said. I will not apologize that that barbarian. If you want to ban me from the forums, at least let me know. If you're not, I will just disable all comments on my mods and only accept PMs from now on. I apologise to everyone who's had to read this and feels threatened or put off my me, and I apologise to the people who this may have affected except for that sorry excuse for a human being. "This is why we ban people." -Any forum moderator ever :P
  22. This is the internet. What you see here is a personality. I don't care. You want to come to me and say that I have superiority complex in real life? You will change your mind about me in an instant. Millions if not billions of people put on masks when they are on the internet. Some people have privacy concerns. I do it because I have nothing else left to do. You think I give a damn about superiority complex? No. I give a damn about where I'm going to sleep at night when my next meal is. You can talk about SC all you want. What you see here on the internet as me is just a facade that I put up. In real life I am a modest person. On the Internet either everyone cares or nobody does. I put on the superiority facade because with some of the online communities that I visit, yes, there are nice people but the majority of them are total asswipes. One guy called me a bunch of names as soon as I joined the server. I do what I have to to protect myself, not to hurt others. I do it in the way I learned growing up from my father, who, by the way, did things to me that I shall not speak of here. Some people think that beating your wife in Skyrim is funny. My dad did that to my mom. He did it to me, among other things. I have not touched my Skyrim wife, In fact, I buy everything from her as soon as it respawns. I have countless personal mods I've made that I will never share because of my situation. On the Net I'm a totally different person than in real life, and for you to assume that it is all the same and telling me that I have 'superiority complex' is as disrespectful as me calling non-modders fools.
  23. Ahahahahaaaa...Inferiority...Ahahahaha... Wow. You got me on that one. My self esteem is quite accurate. Again, there's a difference between superiority complex and general superiority. And what do you have to say about your need to always prove other people wrong, hmm? As far as I know many of your posts involve correcting other people, even when they are right. I'm not going to put any examples here because that would be unproductive and provoke you further. As far as the list you made...I commend your efforts at trying to sound smart on the Internet. And if you are as smart as you try to make yourself seem, you will know that neither I nor anybody else actually cares what your intelligence level is. It's as though you're trying to prove that you're smarter than everyone else..Hmmm...What was that? Superiority complex? Or is it just spoiled selfishness and arrogance? I'm probably one of the least 'superior' people here. I have a joke for a computer and I don't have a job, nor do I even have a house to go to every night. You claim that I'm 'victimising' and all I'm doing is asking for support with my mods because I have depression, no friends, no family, and I'm actually pretty close to committing suicide these days. I've called the Suicide Hotline on a payphone maybe 5 times in the last week. I can't afford a therapist, I don't have a cell phone, and this computer I have is my only life. I have nothing to do other than live my Skyrim life. I've tried so many mods and replayed Skyrim so many times. I've got a 4 year old save that I play almost every day. And did I say high self esteem? No, I said accurate. I know my worth, and you don't. I'm a worthless pile of crap on the streets. You've got a roof over your head, clothes, a shower, and regular access to food. You've probably got a job, so you have money to buy a computer good enough to play Skyrim. My computer is a 4 year old laptop that's had so many part swaps I've lost count. So, think a little. If you're as smart as you try to make yourself look, then you'd think twice about your reply.
  24. Well, to start, I put that into caps so people can see it. people tend to not pay attention to small text. That's why stop signs are big and red and have the word STOP on them in big bright white letters. Superiority? No, I think you are misdirected. I was doing something called generalizing. That's when you make a 'general or broad statement by inferring from specific cases'... I'm not angry at all. I'm just really annoyed. And the reason I take such a superior stance is because the non modders who actually are quite unintelligent don't understand things when you explain them in a non-superior manner, because they themselves believe that they are the superior ones. Like the guy who said "ummmmm you can craft arrows...".
