You can't talk without Breath so there would just be a lot of awkward staring when people ask you to do stuff for them.

Right click on Skyrim in Steam and validate the files. Should do the trick

How many types of stupid is this Steam B.S.?
worldofscotty replied to Zoot365's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
On a more serious note I do understand what he's saying (albeit badly expressed). Starting in offline mode usually results in an error message saying they can't contact the server. It's all well and good changing to offline mode when your already online but I do like being online to chat to my friends while I play. I have nearly 200 games on my steam now and Virgin Broadband in my area went down for 3 days and I couldn't access any of them. It's quite frustrating and I was close to going outside and talking to real people at one point!! Messed up or what!!!??!! -

You could have just mailed it to us. I'd still need to come online to get the address. I'd also need to come online to make sure you posted it for me cause I know it's just gonna be sitting in the trash next to the Christmas card I sent -
New to Skyrim, need Warrior build for Master difficulty!
worldofscotty replied to Beastlyqt's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I'd rather play the game on a lower difficulty and do it however I want than play master and adhere to set strategies -

I'm actually a lot more angry about the fact that The Nexus made me come online to leave this comment. Pathetic!!!! ! ! -
Would an Alien side with the imperials or stormcloaks?
worldofscotty replied to saintgrimm92's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Considering the Dark Elves, Kahjit and a percentage of Nords have absolutely no interest in this war; I think it's pretty easy to imagine what an alien thinks about it. Speaking from an advanced nation irl. The world tends to not get involved in civil wars where possible. It's like helping a fawn to get away from a lion. You have to let nature take its course -
How much VRAM is enough for lots of mods?
worldofscotty replied to Skazzy's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I think your fibbing to yourself if you believe newer boards have less problems. Also there's nothing wrong with being a generation behind as long as your buying quality. I'm still using 6950s and they are destroying the latest games being released on max settings. Once they start to struggle in a few years you can upgrade again at half the price your paying now. -

Crossfired Radeon 6950s would perform just as well or better and save you £150. -
Don't know if I can do it anymore...
worldofscotty replied to forthemods08's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Mostly caused by chopping mods in and out. Adding and removing things so when the game looks for something and it's no longer there it will crash. Try to start fresh with everything you need. Personally I won't even use someone else's level 1 save mod because of mods they may have had installed on their machines when this was created. It's just going to bite me in the ass 40 hours later. -

Since GTA V is made for the same extremely dated consoles which were pushed to their limit with the last game I doubt this game will be going too 'above and beyond' graphics wise. -
The 'want' you speak of with the companions can be un-wanted as the story unfolds. I've never tried the bards college. That might work. My current game I'm playing as a travelling merchant. Exploring and selling as I go. Using Economics of Skyrim to add different valuations to items in different towns.

It's mainly focused on giving the consoles something similar to a mod. PC's don't really need it since we have mods which do all these things already. The only reason I bet it was released on PC is because everyone would be whining console favoritism again.
-
The reason is in my case at least the update. You can't vote for the first hour of a download for obvious reason so I usually don't go back to the page until NMM instructs me to update the mod. This is when I put in an endorsement. Unfortunately a lot of mods might be fine first time or might be at the stage that no more updates are required by the time I find out about it so I never have to go back there.

That one tune from Age of Conan was awesome.

any mods that stop people attacking me? (Vampire)

Skyrim Redone used to do this. Not sure now -
Some good points. No you didn't but but this is all I'm trying to get at. The aim of the thread is to decide the balance of good vs evil and I'm just trying to highlight the perspective of what is good and what is evil. And like you said, in reality there would be a lot of grey areas. I'm not trying to get you to justify whether it's ok for your character to kill certain NPCs. Just that they aren't necessarily a threat to society.

If we are talking in a literal sense then yes you are right. When you say things like 'the game labels them for you' I assume we are talking about different things. Obviously for the simplistic game approach of good and evil they are obviously evil, placed there for you to kill. I'm taking a more RP approach to this and getting a little deeper into the mentality as if the game were real and whether if under real life circumstances this society was in fact doomed to fail; which I don't believe it is. In many cases you never see a bandit brutalise/murder anyone and yet proceed to storm their fort anyway. Orcs react in much the same way as a bandit until you gain their trust but they aren't bandits. They are just a separate faction who stay away from the rest of society. The Mafia is a good example I think. They surely must be considered bandits. They became well known during the Napoleonic era, strongly fighting against French occupation of Italy. They just wanted their land back in Italian hands. Much like the Stormcloaks want their land back. Stormcloaks are considered bandits by the Legion. I expect the Legion are considered bandits by the Stormcloaks. It's all a matter of perspective and which one your buying into.

An outlaw... I'll take that one. War tends to increase banditry among the common folk as a reaction to the hardships they face, it has happened many times in history. They could simply have been outlawed by their respective holdfasts for refusing to join the side taken there in the civil war. You could be killing people simply because they quit the failing, hostile society and want to be left alone with their few friends. or These NPCs are not given a name besides 'bandit' so it can only be assumed that your character gave them this name as a way of recognizing them. You may be mistaken and they may just be campers/vigilantes/hunters.

Would Harry Potter be successful in this world? His magic is kinda lame.

Are there some historical inconsistencies?
worldofscotty replied to sgman1's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Yes. All the Draugr types have recently awoken. They would have been in a coffin somewhere at best during Arena. As far as I have gotten noone knows why. -
Assuming all the bandits are overly aggressive I'd agree but really they aren't. In most cases with 'bandits' you have every opportunity to not get to close to their camp and to walk away. Choosing to live outside of normal society doesn't necessarily make you a bad guy. You see 'bad guys' fighting 'bad guys' all the time so they aren't going to be banding together anytime soon to take down society This attitude to me means they defend their own. Go away and I wont have to hurt you. If you just came waltzing into my castle uninvited I'd probably kill you too. As for Draugrs; Their undead status is quite a new phenomenon so they haven't had an impact yet. Most of the general population don't wander around crypts so they have nothing to worry about. Also I believe the giants have a large impact on national security. They have camps right across Skyrim. I remember hearing Balgruuf said about the impact it would have with them moving camp. As for kiddies. Most of the country is in civil way. Soldiers are off fighting for one side of the other. Presumably once that is over they will come home and celebrate.
