  1. So having gone through everything, I noticed that there's a fair number of missing textures- all of them are from one specific mod, "The Golden Dragon" by Oblivion Shadow. It adds a ton of weapons and armor, many of which I used. Unfortunately, having searched throughout the Nexus and MMH a lot, it seems to have been lost to the ether. If anyone has it, let me know please. I can work around some of it, others are... slightly complicated.
  2. I was definitely curious about what happened, but I also couldn't find anything about what was going on with MMH. Glad to hear that it was only a server shift rather than the site also vanishing into the void. Also, many thanks to both of you, I'm pretty stoked that someone had it. I might have to incorporate that patch into it, as I somehow remember precisely what it fixed. Good god I feel old.
  3. So, I made a mod probably about 10 years ago called Nightveil, uploaded onto Planet Elder Scrolls. Was going with the username Chris M. at the time (because I was a dumb high school kid and didn't think about not putting my real name online.) Well, obviously it's old news, but Planet Elder Scrolls went up in flames. Many mods were recovered through Morrowind Modding History, but that site seemingly no longer exists either. Which really blows. I saw it mentioned somewhere and was like "Oh hey! That's a thing I did! Didn't know people really even liked it..." and decided that I might try to recover the mod and upload it onto the Nexus, seeing as I don't expect the Nexus to go anywhere. The problem is I can't find a download for it online, and I know that the computer I made the mod on is probably beyond dead at this point. So I wanted to see if anyone had the files for the mod- compressed or not. I'd love to be able to recover it, play it again for old times sake, then patch it up and post it on the Nexus. If anyone has it, do let me know.
  4. Eh, don't let people get to you on your mod. Haters gonna hate. Give 'em a smile and go about your merry business. =D
  5. This would be nice, I remember that Morrowind had a really good Horror Mod that was definitely worthy of some attention. Oblivion had Gates to Aesgaard, which... well, really wasn't that scary, nor did it make sense, but was a rather good mod nontheless.
  6. I'd like to know the same thing myself but I can't find out how.
  7. Yeah, the legal reasons are because Oblivion is an entirely different game. So basically if you take models from Oblivion and put them in Skyrim, you're porting copyrighted material, which is illegal on the sole basis that others may not necessarily own Oblivion. If I were to do it, I'd have to keep it as a personal mod and not share it with anyone in order for it to be "legal." Although, I would LOVE to see Morrowind / Oblivion creatures in Skyrim. My biggest complaint in Skyrim is that Daedra are virtually non-existent. Atronachs and Dremora, that's it. I miss the Winged Twilights, Ogrims, Hungers, Clannfears.... and so on. Skyrim sadly has a poor creature variety, but give it time and I know someone will make some lore-friendly monsters.
  8. I've honestly not noticed. I did look in the book and turns out that yes, you lose your progress towards your skills leveling. I think I've never actually noticed because unlike Morrowind, which actually told you that your skills decreased, Skyrim doesn't. Which is most likely why I've never noticed at all. I'd still be interested in seeing an "escape your execution" mod if possible, though there's a lot of other things I think I'd rather see first.
  9. Being executed isn't the fun part. Escaping the execution, killing everyone and increasing your bounty is! I'm glad to see someone understands exactly what I was getting at. Clearly it's no fun if you're simply led to your execution and there's nothing you can do other than get decapitated, so... resist. Either break out of prison before your execution or make a scene in front of everyone and get away while you're facing the executioner. That would be pretty interesting, though likely the problem would be getting your equipment back, as you'd have to break into the dungeon to get to that infernal evidence chest. Though now that I think about it with the Emperor, there were consequences in the main questline. Though I still find it funny when the Imperials shout "FOR THE EMPEROR!" and I'm kinda like "Yeah... about that...." Note that I never said that it HAD to be that way, just that some form of consequences would be a little better than "Oh, a mass murderer. Go to jail and your slate will be clean."
  10. Probably one of my biggest issues in Skyrim is the fact that there are literally no consequences for anything. Sure, if you commit a crime, the guards come for you. If you run around with a bounty, a very rare bounty hunter might come for you. But that's it. You go to jail, it's like it never happened. Your crime is cleared. You can kill everyone in Solitude yet if you go to jail, it's like it never happened. Why no penalties for going to jail? Why no executions? Anything? You can do major things in the game such as (Dark Brotherhood Spoiler) and again... no consequences. Why is it that you can commit the most atrocious crimes and you can either fight or just go to jail and clear your name easily? It's... too easy. Somehow, some way, I think the crime in Skyrim really needs to get a bit of an overhaul.
  11. While I do prefer some realistic dismemberment and gore as opposed to Fallout 3 style, I have to admit Fallout 3 was freaking hilarious for being able to whack someone's legs out from under them with a baseball bat. Literally. Though I would like to be able to cut limbs off. Dead or alive. I mean, if there's some jerk that you just HATE with a burning passion and want to scatter said jerk's limbs to the four winds.... well I kinda want to be able to do that. But that's me. I beat up corpses when I dislike the person.
  12. This was the impression I had when Bethesda released information that you could use a weapon in either hand, a spell in either hand, and dual wield. Well, one major factor that made this a let-down- you don't have equal functionality of both hands. As I'm sure you're aware, the issues are: -No finishers with your left hand -No shields in your right -If nothing is equipped in your right hand but a weapon in your left, you cannot block as the PC will automatically count it as "unarmed" Overall, I'd love equal functionality in both hands. What you can do in your right hand I want to be able to do in my left.
