  1. Hello :) Is it possible to customize the text in the top left corner that says "quicksaving..." whenever it is pressed?
  2. Another person with the issue chiming in. Only mine not only started to happen on saves, it also happened on resting. I read through at least half of the pages in this thread. Pretty interesting stuff in that so much effort went into helping people out. Thank you very much for your assistance, especially you, Squireoivanhoe. The problem seems to have stopped for me, at least for now. Here are the bullet points of my experience: 100 Active mods and 133 Active plugins. I played about 80 hours into the game fine. Installed a bow mod (Archery Combat Overhaul). Was playing great for several more hours. At 86 hours, traveled to Falkreath for the first time. Slept at an Inn (Deadman's Drink - a fitting name). Instant crash to desktop at the end of sleep hour counter. Reloaded to try again. Same exact problem. Reloaded. Quicksaved. CTD. Reloaded. Manually saved. CTD. Reloaded. Fast traveled to Skyrim home. Slept there. To the best of my memory, it worked, initially. Saved. CTD. Reloaded a previous save from before I discovered Falkreath. Same problem. CTD on save or rest. Then began the research, which eventually led me here  Read through most of the thread, found the 2 possible fixes. Saw that I already had SSE Engine Fixes installed (but an earlier version that did not have the updated files with the SaveGameMaxSize option. Updated the above mentioned. Activated the MaxSize. Crossed fingers. The problem remained. At this point, I was going to start trying to learn about the first option, but it was going to have to happen the next day as it was getting late. But I did remember that removing mods was mentioned as a band-aid type of fix. So I began looking at mods I use that have scripts I could do without. Found one I was ok with parting with. Removed it from the load order. Loaded the game. And the problem did not happen anymore. I am currently at 109 hours without an issue so far, so 23 hours since the change. I don't know if any of the above would be useful for anyone, but I wanted to give my input and as a thankyou to everyone who contributed. Skyrim's such a great game, and it's a sad thing when so much gametime gets lost T_T Take care o/
  3. Hello, I'm also from 2019! :D I came here searching for an ironsights mod for Skyrim. Surprised to not find one :/
  4. sucks but yea, welcome to Fallout 3 on the PC. I went through like 2 months of research, trial and error just to get that b**** to work. My PC is way old though, so I don't see why u can't go farther than me. AMD Athlon 64 x2 2GB RAM HD Radeon 3400 This game was I think released unfinished. So first lets start with the basics, update video drivers, I'm sure u got that covered since u deal with that issue already with minecraft... is the game itself updated to latest patch? If not, definitely do that. http://www.seasonsecurity.com/fallout-3-vista-32-bit-problem-73528 maybe some help Hopefully someone else can chime in as I'm not that technically savvy and do not use Vista.
  5. You do know that this thread was made last year, right? A little late to the convo... http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15596
  6. It might have been removed, but it's back here: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15541
  7. Sorry man I am stumped. Might have better luck on the MMM thread if u have not yet tried. http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?showtopic=97246 Only other thing I might try would be Master Update and make a merge mod but I can't see that as being a fix for that particular issue.
  8. I'm a little confused why u bought GOTY edition but did not install DLC. The point of buying it is so everything is installed all at once, and u can play it without having to go back and add DLC. Well it might be a problem if ur DLC is not installed properly or if the mods you use are listed over DLC in FOMM. All DLC needs to be loaded before any mods. It might also help some ppl see what is wrong if u show ur mod list in FOMM. Is the game updated to the latest patch?
  9. Only thing I can think of is to scale down the player's height in the console because it might scale the entire body down in size. Or you could just play as a child, they look pretty nerdy.
  10. Did you even try playing the game without mods? I ask this because you just said that you got the GOTY edition and downloaded mods. If you haven't played the game by itself you should first do that to see if your PC can even handle the game, and make a save at the beginning of the game when you do. I say this because this game is really borked with running on computers sometimes, unless you have maybe a really great one, but even when the PC specs are over the requirements, I have heard problems with playing it on PC. So be sure you can run it by itself first. Then if you can go in game and make a save in the game and load it fine, then go back and start slowly adding your mods. That is really the way you should install mods man, one at a time, or at the most in small groups of 2 or 3 at a time. Install a few, go in game and see if it works ok and doesn't break your game. Then go back and repeat the process. Otherwise you will waste your time installing a bunch of crap and not know what caused the problem, like now O.o And trust me, that is not your last resort. Your last resort is reinstalling the whole game because your mods broke it beyond repair. No scratch that, your last resort is throwing your computer out the window.
  11. Don't know what the problem could be with MMM since I am not aware of MMM editing any vendors. I will look and see if it does... There are edited traders with your tougher trader esp. Only thing I could find. I would try it without that option. Also I have not used or heard of a few of your mods like A1_The_Naked_Gun_by_Oppaiko.esp or 100% Force Lock Chance.esp. I would check to see if there are any conflicts with those and MMM, though I can't see how this would cause your vendors to crash. ??? I once had a problem with vendors crashing when accepting payment for some items that I added scripts to. I had scripted them kinda messily so it would crash when buying multiples, but not singles. I'm curious to know if you experience the crash any time you buy anything. Like, try buying just one thing, does it crash then too? Sucks that MMM is causing the errors, it's a great mod and I have experienced many bugs and crashes with mods, but never with MMM. Have you tried reinstalling the mod, and resting for 3-6 days (I think resting for a long time is supposed to refresh MMM's settings)?
  12. Say it doesn't exist all you want, the OP was looking for a co-op MOD for Fallout 3. Not official co-op support. So there it is.
  13. I am not sure exactly how it works. I haven't dled that in quite a while. Shoot I just looked in my load order and I don't even see any .esps of that anymore lol I must have lost it along with deletion of other mods, unless it was a simple file that overrides and was not an esp. hmm I would try to ask in that forum specifically for more info or maybe try to contact the creator if noone else can chime in. If it's not a big deal to play with it, I might try to just stick with disabling the achievements, which I suspect might have been the reason why GFWL existed: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3813 That should be just one simple .esp the one that is called Achievement Remover [All].esp since you have all DLC with the GOTY edition. Still have that in my FOMM. With just that installed, I assume you will have the Live button still on your menu, but probably no crashes related to it since no achievements will be unlocked =) It can be a bit messy getting this stuff at the beginning, was just a lot of trial and error for me to figure out what works and what does not work for my PC. I can tell you, however, that it matters a lot, which order you organize your mods in with FOMM. You will have to read the descriptions/readmes for the mods to find out correct load orders and see which mods work well with eachother and which ones will be over-ridden if placed incorrectly. Getting a good face. I wouldn't know as the most I've ever modded a face was adding custom eyes and fangs. I assume it's a simple drag and drop of textures or mesh files.
  14. Hello and welcome to the world of Fallout 3, and some confusing mod talk ;P Ok, if you have the official patched version, you should be fine. I also have the GOTY edition, but cannot for the life of me remember if it was completely patched or not. If you can check somewhere in the game info to see if it is already patched to the latest (1.7 I believe) then you should be just fine, and stay away from unofficial patches. There is an unofficial patch available, but I have played without it for a long time and used literally 100 mods fine without it. I have read some reviews that say the unofficial patch fixes a few things that aren't big deals in the first place but break the game in much bigger ways with it. So I would advise you to stay away from that. As for a mod manager, yes that is called FOMM - Fallout Mod Manager: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=640 It's pretty easy and straightforward to understand, especially if you are familiar with Oblivion's version. What Fonger probably means is to update "Games for Windows Live." It's a program that apparently is necessary for Fallout 3 to run with. What for, I have no idea. Personally, I think GFWL messes up the game because it brings Windows bugs into it. That might be why he said to update, maybe implying that there is a patch or something for it that fixes the bugs. All I know is that I was experiencing major crashes before I heavily modified this game to play it on my old PC. Disabling GFWL was one of the things I did to help stop crashes. You can get that here: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1086
  15. In FO3 Edit, I can edit NPCs Fatigue level? What does that do? Higher number means they don't get tired?
  16. Do a search for vision mods and you will probably find many that add different visual effects based on things like blood loss, radiation, and I think Arwen's can add a blurry vision when you put on reading glasses. Just saying if nobody makes this mod for you, you might be able to make your own using those resources.
  17. no, but u should request that in the "mod requests" section. That is a good idea.
  18. Hi FuzeTek! Sorry I cannot be of much help, since I am just a gamer, but I think it's definitely possible, just like the game has a "Base" music folder and "Public" music folder. I saw a few exclamation points when I first entered the police dpt. They were near the entrance; might those have been sound cues?
  19. Maybe you missed a step when uninstalling, therefore corrupting the game? Have you tried playing from a previous save from when before the new were installed mods? If that doesn't work, start a new game and see if you experience crashes. If you don't crash on a new game, I'd bet that the previous game is corrupted.
  20. If LIVE interferes with certain mods that use FOSE, that's reason enough to disable it, because FOSE mods are some of the best ones out there. I can't remember if I disabled LIVE or just removed the button, but I def disabled Achievements when I first started adding mods because I knew that was causing crashes.
  21. Well, obviously the scripts need to be EXTENDED, but normally the game will not support it. Hence, Fallout Script Extender. Make sense?
  22. That's not a stupid question, I have loaded many mods and even made a few, but never knew how to do that!
