I agree with soot00, don't use the defrag(could be a big mistake) but do shut down background processes. I use it at times, but there's not a great improvement unless your using a weak system or low ram. profnewbie--new but growing

Re-use the console command but use small increments until you've got it where you want it.Any setting you make using console commands is completely reversible. profnewbie--new but growing

In your morrowind cfg file it looks something like this [General] ;Test TES 0=morrowind.esm ;Starting Cell=Pelagiad ;Starting Grid X=0 ;Starting Grid Y=0 Show FPS=1 Max FPS=120 ;-1 Use raw data, 0 Use Newer, 1 use Archive Only TryArchiveFirst=0 SkipProgramFlows=0 DontThreadLoad=0 ThreadPriority=-1 ThreadSleepTime=4 Clip One To One Float=1 Flip Control Y=0 SkipKFExtraction=1 PC Footstep Volume=0.7 Disable Audio=0 AllowYesToAll=1 (I think this is what your talking about) profnewbie--new but growing

As a chrome user I'm too familiar with this issue but most times the refresh button (or hard refresh) brings it right up. The only suggestion I can make is to increase your timeout length. Profnewbie--new but growing

moding
profnewbie replied to thedarkmoonknight's topic in The Witcher's The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings
If your trying to install a mod that tells you where to put various files---start in your install directory, create folder(rightclick mouse on a blank space, choose new, choose folder, rename) named cookedpc(this will be where all your changes to the game will go), then just imitate the mod's structure ie: cookedpc/abilities/geralt_basic -------------for changes to player for example. The readme of the mod should tell you the structure (relative to the folder--cookedpc). Hope this helps :-) profnewbie--new but growing -
Go into your cookedpc/abilities/gerault_basic file and edit the line that starts #max weight. Change the min= and the max= numbers(end of line) to a carrying capacity that suits you (cheat a little or a lot). :-)

For W2 this trainer seems to work fine. http://dlhftp.cs1.dlh.net:8888/ad80376feb2eeb58c96966418bd43120/ftp.dlh.net/pub/cheats/pc/0109/The_Witcher2_V1.2_+10_Trainer.rar I've used it (win7) works fine.

spoilers Storage? Banker? Chest?
profnewbie replied to Wilfried12's topic in The Witcher's The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings
Just go to your cookedpc/abilities/geralt_basic file and edit the line # Max weight <max_weight mult="false" always_random="false" min="5000" max="5000"/> I've already edited it to 5000 in this case. You can put whatever weight you want, just put the same amount in min= as you do in max= -

The only ones I've used so far blow up when anybody, friend or foe, comes near. I'll have to check out all types. Thanks for the reply! profnewbie--new but growing
