Just to voice an opinion, the captcha thing to prove that you're not a robot is getting quite annoying. I mean having to take an intelligence test every time I want to come in, sometimes two or three test panels (which squares have wheels, which squares have cars, etc.) it's a real bother. I come into nexus several times a day, couldn't there be a cookie or something so you only have to prove you aren't Mr. Roboto once a week or so. Or make simpler, I'm fed up with the IQ tests.

Since yesterday I only see plain text on a white background and I can't download anything.

I am moving my two (very modest) mods to SSE, however in one of them I can't get it to display Download with NMM button. That one was my first mod and it didn't have the button in original Skyrim either (because I didn't know how to make it use that button back then, either). I have tried to check and uncheck the "remove NMM button" choice in file editing, that worked for my other mod but not for this one.

Various Nexus related things from the Skyrim SE launch aftermath
caralampio replied to Dark0ne's topic in Site Updates
In response to post #43746270. #43746460, #43746755, #43749045, #43749835, #43752980, #43753020 are all replies on the same post. This doesn't work for me. Every time I get error during installation at about 96%, happens with all mods and all games. -

When I try to install anything manually, I get "an error occurred during install", and it's not only SSE, but for all games. -
Mod request for correct skin tones
caralampio replied to caralampio's topic in Fallout 4's Mod Ideas
Hmm, seeing the lack of response I finally decided to try out FO4Edit and it's not so hard. I found this however: The colors are actually fine in their basic form. Pale, for instance is RGB 247 239 238 which should yield an almost white tone. I made a mod that changed pale skin 01 to 255 254 254 with no noticeable change in game. It would seem that there is a light brown filter that applies over whatever skin tone you chose and prevents white characters. Maybe to prevent glare in the game, I don't know. Characters do look much more tanned out in the sun than indoors. Unless there's some way to discover why that filter exists and if it can be removed, I'm stuck. -
This is just a request for those of you who can mod the game. It's actually more a needed fix than a mod. I wonder if you have noticed that the skin tones in the character creator are all wrong. They are two or three tones darker in each category than what they should be. See the picture, this is a character made with the pale skin option, the clearest skin you can get. Note this isn't about being racist. It's about the game being reverse racist and excluding you from playing white characters. http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/321250265686882356/6B1694587FD51C25D6A876FF74CDFAA9BCD86433/ So, what I would like to see is a mod altering the palette so pale is real pale, almost pasty like this http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1763/? , rosy is pink, sun-touched is very, very slightly tanned, and so on. As it should be and let you make your character to your taste and not force you to play a dark-skinned character.

Game locking up and apparently corrupting Windows

Thanks, I'll see about that. -
Can i still download older versions of NMM?
caralampio replied to deadfred666's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
The problem is you cannot uninstall .Net 4.6, which may be the real culprit of your problems. -
I have noticed that too. I think enemies have limited ammo.

Mods not working despite being activated.
caralampio replied to MadzAssassin's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
It is common for the launcher to uncheck some or all installed mods. I need to re-check them in NMM almost every time I launch the game. -
Windows 7 Ultimate, SP1. 16 GB ram and 4 gb vram. Nvidia gtx 760. Driver 359.61. PSU corsair 650 tw. I have a handful of mods, none that greatly affect performance. I already tried playing with all of them removed though. Here's my case> When the game came out, and 450 hours after that, I could play without a problem, save the occasional stutter. The game recommended high setting, but I discovered I could play on ultra without hindrance, 35-50 fps. Then about a week ago I started getting lockups. The game would freeze, but not the computer. I could CTRL/ALT/DEL out, find task manager and kill the game, although it took its time before it closed. I could have played hours without a problem, or minutes. Sometimes it was preceded by the game going mute, although I could still move and fire until a little more then it locked. However, usually the game is not totally frozen, if I wait a while it unlocks and I can continue playing, with good fps etc. although this leads to more lock ups seconds or minutes later. If I persist it can end in a total screen freeze. The lock up usually isn't at any moment, it is at the moment of doing something like opening a container, the pip-boy, VATS, etc. Up to that moment the game is smooth and suddenly snap. When and if I can get out of the game to Windows, this is sometimes still working just fine. Other times, Windows itself has become very sluggish, taking very long to open folders and files, respond to the mouse etc. If I try to restart Fallout 4, sometimes it does, others it crashes or freezes on launch. After I have had these events, when I reboot Windows sometimes fails to boot. I get a message that Windows couldn't boot because of recent changes in hardware or software, or perhaps a faulty USB or hard disk. If I continue, it eventually boots but can take up to 20 minutes and is sluggish after that. If I reboot again, and don't play Fallout in the interim, then it seems to fix itself. OK here the usual things come to mind, failing PSU, failing hard disk, hot video card, memory etc. I ran check disk and reported no errors. I also ran an utility called Crystal that checks the disk, no errors. I couldn't check the PSU directly, but I made tests with Furmark for a good while and nothing happened. The video card behaved too. temps fine. Mem test, all fine. I updated the driver to 361, but that was worse, I still had the lock ups and furthermore scratchy noise and stutters. Rolled back to 359. I had recently upgraded to .Net 4.6, thinking that could be it, I did windows restore to before upgrading it (to .Net 4.5.2). Incidentally, to a time when I still wasn't having this problem. The lockups continued. Tried starting a new character (to see if it was a bloated save file). No luck. A tech I consulted said that all of this smacked of a corrupted Windows, and suggested repair or reinstall. I was about to do this when I decided to do one more test. I would not play Fallout, but would play a lot of other games to see if the problem repeats. In the last three days, I've been playing Skyrim, Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Medieval 2 (believe or not M2 is a greater resources hog than later games), Empire total war, Rome 2 total war, Sid Meiers Civ 5. All games at maxed settings, and heavily modded. I have rebooted several times, I have downloaded stuff, navigated the internet, watched you tube etc. I HAVE NOT HAD A SINGLE PROBLEM. Nothing. So I think I have pinpointed Fallout 4 as the cause of the problems. It still could be something with my system hardware or software, that can handle everything else except fallout, but I find that bit hard to swallow. And anyway, it would still be only Fallout 4 causing me problems. I'm no expert, but I wonder might FO4 be doing something, trying an invalid access or corrupting a windows driver, to cause these problems? What do you suggest?

Like the OP, I haven't finished the game and I'm already kind of bored. I have begun to create a new character and restart, only to scrap him and create another, a symptom that the game isn't really catching my interest. I feel that the game is an endless raider killing spree (except when it's a mutant killing spree). I mean you can't walk two blocks without finding another bunch of enemies. Too many encounters, make encounters meaningless. I once saw a spot where there were raiders in one building, mutants in the building in front, and ghouls lying on the narrow road between them. I think there were also some dogs nearby. Now how did all these peeps coexist before I arrived?

Am I the only one who finds skin tones too dark?
caralampio posted a topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Nobody seems to care about this, maybe I shouldn't either, but have you noticed that the palest skin ("pale") isn't pale at all. It's light brown. The next, "rosy" should be pink, like in "rosy cheeks" but it's definitively a tanned look. And each tone as you go up is darker than what it's name would imply. So you can't have pale characters. I would like to make a character that looks like Princess Leia (from episode 4 not 7), but she comes out looking more like Eva Longoria. We need a mod to tone down skin tones. -
From some time ago I have noticed that everytime I do something mundane like chop wood, use an alchemy table, cook, get off of a horse, etc. an annoying swirling blue magic effect is seen. I'm sure it must come from some of my mods but I'm not about to switch each and every mod I have on and off just to try to pinpoint the culprit. I have over 60 mods, but my main suspects are Frostfall and Realistic Needs and Diseases, because they have to do with chopping wood, cooking, etc. Or might it be a vanilla bug? I don't think so. I'm posting here because I thought maybe I'll get lucky and someone recognizes the effect and the cause. Then I might try to do something about it, hopefully not requiring removing the mod causing it. http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc253/caralampio_album/Effect.jpg
