  1. Okay, even I (yes, I sometimes complain too much (LOL)), have to give a two-thumbs-up to this! Great news and I am going to pledge!
  2. I agree BlueFrog (um BlauFrosch). I have largely given up on Skyrim, myself, because it doesn't offer the depth I am looking for. But for Bethesda to largely ignore all the popular mods in their creation of an inferior mod - and therefore everyone else has to "recreate" their superior mods.....well....that is the definition of arrogance in my book.
  3. LOL! You just put it better than I ever could!
  4. Thanks, I will give your suggestions a try! I guess one problem is that I have played heavily modded Oblivion for far too long and have so very many mods installed that I surprise even myself sometimes when I stumble across something in some ruin or another that I had completely forgotten about. I have far too many clothes and far too many major quests! I love it! But my main problem is that I just cannot get into the "clay-haired", "slo-mo" bumbleton that is supposed to be me. And how am I supposed to get into the quests when they don't seem to matter at all as far as how others treat me. There isn't even a page showing my ranks in the various guilds, etc. Yawn.
  5. OOO=Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul COBL=Common Ovblivion as well as Better Cities......ah, there are just so many with Oblivion that make it so good. Morrowind was the best with quests and questlines, Oblivion was next, and Skyrim is......well.......not even on the map. So shallow.
  6. I am the strongest race......face me. :biggrin::tongue:
  7. I am not writing this to be critical, but for me Skyrim and the mods I am aware of lack the depth of vanilla Morrowind and heavily modded Oblivion. I would really like to get into Skyrim, but after playing Oblivion with so many mods I cannot count anymore (if you count merged mods, etc. it must be well over 450 by now), and with mods that could do anything I wanted (no limitations by the CK/CS), I just find Skyrim very very very very boring and very very very very limited. I have enough clothing and armor mods......what I want are the equivalent of OOO, COBL, etc. as well as mods to simply extend and make more enjoyable the questlines, etc. in Skyrim. Not so much "Fetch", and a little more thinking. Any suggestions?
  8. so far so good with the download speed in general. Thanks. edit: Oh wait, was that a compliment on my part. Crap. Gotta watch that! :)
  9. If this is directed at my post(s), please understand that I HAVE posted in the correct bug report forum, multiple times, and have even commented when other users, having the same problem, have posted their bug reports, and have even pm'd certain Nexus staff directly. Many premium users are having the same problem (premium users cannot download Oblivion, Morrowind, FO3 and maybe other mod files from the Kent premium server and this has been going on since early June!). I have had messages from the highest levels of Nexus that this is, indeed, a problem Nexus is having, and not anything to do with my system or connection. I appreciate the fact that the problem has been acknowledged. Thank you. My problem is that it is taking so long to resolve and that there are no updates, information, or whatever. Eery silence. If Skyrim, FONV, the Witcher, etc. files work perfectly with the Kent premium server (I have personally tested each), why don't Oblivion, Morrowind and FO3. Considering that these are not the newest of games and that Nexus is very very silent publicly concerning the Kent server not having files from these games, what am I or the other premium members to think? All I want is some honest and public information on when the Kent server will again be available for premium users downloading Oblivion, Morrowind, FO3, and whatever other mod files. That's all.
  10. yes, almost three months of no Kent server is a bit much now. My download speeds are awful on average using the Denver server (for mainly Oblivion files, and some Morrowind files), somewhere in the neighborhood of a non-premium server, and sometimes slower. I just wish someone would post some info regarding this instead of being so secretive. It is so silent it is creepy. This ain't the government for goodness sakes. We premium users have paid for this and are now not receiving it AND WE DESERVE SOME INFO ON WHEN WE WILL BE ABLE TO USE THE KENT SERVER AGAIN. This is only fair. In case no one remembers, this is what the signup site says for premium members.... "Download from two ((((TWO)))) file servers (one in the US, one in the EU) available just for them that no normal members can download from." I have posted numerous times in the proper place in the forums to get the problem solved but it is NEVER properly addressed. What is going on? Edit: Oh wait, let's just publish some mod sanctuary articles and push the problems since dawnguard further down the list without ever actually addressing the issues or letting the people know what we are doing. Maybe people will forget.
  11. i can log in through the skyrim site but not on the oblivion one.....keeps getting hung up on something to do with the "gatekeeper", whatever that is ..... Maybe it is time to rebuild the gatekeeper? :) Oh, and what JM_MnNemo said. And BravoOskar, that is exactly what it does to me on the Oblivion site. Skyrim works for me for some reason.
  12. any idea on when we non-skyrim folk will be able to download from the Kent premium server again?
  13. My goodness.....speeds were not this bad when Skyrim itself was introduced. At least NMM is not timing out now, but it still takes forever to download if the file is big enough. Edit: It seems that I only post to praise mods or to complain about Nexus.....I don't want to come across that way (the complaining part anyway)......sorry if I do!
  14. Well, I am trying to update a few mods through NMM after some time away from the game and after an update to the latest version/patch of Skyrim. The first 5 or 6 mods would not even start in NMM before they timed out or whatever. Finally I got one to download, at a whopping 20-30 KBytes/sec. Funny that the manual download works a lot faster. Never had this problem with NMM before. (Oh, forgot to add that my top download speed is about 1900-2000 KBytes/sec)
  15. Okay, I have been playing Oblivion for quite a while with OOO (for over a year). But I do not like the worn armors with OOO because I am female and play a female character and the armors are very ugly and not at all feminine (they are mostly all male and all I end up doing is selling them). I have been trying to simply replace meshes with meshes from similar armors to "de-manize" the armors. :) I have had some success with the worn orcish cuirass and the worn fur cuirass. However, no matter what I do, and no matter which folders and files I mess with, the worn steel armor still looks like a flat-chested, gray-armored guy. Not unattractive, mind you, but it does not look so good on me!!!! Can anyone please help me? (Please don't point to one of the exnemised armor replacers.....tried them all and the ones that actually worked are not for me.....I just need to know how to get ooo to recognize the worn steel armor replacements). Thanks! xoxo P.S. I have no idea if this is where I am supposed to post this. If this is not the right place, moderators and/or admins please put it in the right place. Thanks.
  16. My dream mod would be where I owned a store where I could dump all my loot in one store that I own, then it would be sold for me, I would get the gold, and maybe I would get the merchantile experience.
  17. I would like bows that look like the many wonderful Korn microphones..... do a google search for the beauties.
  18. I don't know what causes it but I have had the same issue with some of my characters. One time it got progressively worse while advancing through the dark brotherhood quest line that I could no longer even enter the sanctuary. Instant CTD. I too would be interested to know the answer to this problem.
  19. I love this new design with the new options. Thanks! The only thing I don't like is that the arrows for the hot files at the top seem to operate backwards. They seem to operate as if the "bar of hotfiles" under the big hotfile photo should be sliding back and forth (which would be quite cool). It doesn't for me (no script inhibitors on this website and nothing of the sort activated.....using firefox 13.0.1) and so the arrows are backwards. Am I the only one? Edit.....I have complained about this before so....must be. Sigh.
  20. I'm looking forward to this new and improved version spreading to the Oblivion site (I especially mean the Hot files location below the large hot files image). Please!
  21. Still getting the left and right arrows on the big hot files section to either be operating backwards or that there is supposed to be a scroll effect with the hot files that is not working.
  22. @Sanzein I also had it look like that using Firefox but simply doing a Shift-Reload fixed it all up nicely for me. edit: after using the new layout a bit, I must say that I really have a love/hate relationship with it. I like some of the new features, but on the other hand I really miss the old hot files, new files, images layout. My suggestion would be to have a "Home" tab (can be renamed to whatever and can be set to be the default tab by the user if she/he wants) that has the horizontal versions of the hot files, new files and images - and to do completely away with the hot files, etc. stuff on the right (for all tabs). Make it a completely tabbed layout below the big picture of the hot files, but let us choose . edit2: just saw the new-new layout with the hot files below the "big hot file display". It is a definite improvement. Thank you. I might be able to live with it. (But I still like having the option of the old layout.....more or less) edit3: um, for me the arrows for the hot files below the big display seem to be reversed.....in other words, the forward arrow moves the display to the previous mod and the reverse arrow advances the display to the next mod.
