  1. Haha, wow. Looks like I'm definitely not alone in this then. Thanks guys. I've been playing since posting this thread and I've got pretty far in and I'm having a good time. I used the console command MoveToQT to rush through the Thieves guild quests as I've done them so many times so hopefully using console commands to rush through that hasn't damaged my game.. As I'm pretty sure you're supposed to have done some other quests to get some of the items needed to complete that quest series but I just teleported to them.. So hopefully that hasn't messed up any other quests. Pretty sure I'm done with console commands now as I am pretty happy to do other quests again "manually" and don't want to tempt fate haha. Good luck to all of you trying to complete this game!
  2. I pre-ordered Skyrim and I have played it since day one I have hundreds of hours dumped in this game and yet, I still have not even completed the main civil war questline. I am addicted to modding I modded the game pretty much day one and since then I have corrupted the game and or ruined it in other ways (Overpower, modded til broken and various other problems) the result of this is I have done the same quests over and over and now I just get bored. I can't play without modding anymore as well I just want to complete the game! Anyone else in the same boat as me? It's just really frustrating and I'm wondering if anyone has any advice to get me through the game.
  3. Bumping up. -Is there a better forum to look for tech support in?
  4. Looks like I can't attach .log files so I'll add the end, which I hear is the most relevant part of the log here. 5. Hello all, so I guess this is yet another CTD post. I've got no clue how to go about this so I'm just going to list what I can and I would really appreciate any help you could provide! System Spec: OS: Windows 7 64bit GPU: Nvidia GTX 670 SLI - Latest beta drivers (Also tested on latest stable drivers with no difference) CPU: Intel Core i7 930 @4.00GHz RAM: 12GB DDR3 9-9-9-24 @2000Mhz PSU: Corsair 1000W (80+ Rated) RES: 1920x1200 @60Hz Water cooled with temps (GPU & CPU) Ranging from 30°C - °80 under load so not overheating. Other than the CTD's every 30-40 minutes or so the game is running completely fine, I have Vsync turned on to stop it from going above 60FPS and my FPS rarely ever falls below 50FPS, it's a completely smooth experience right up until the seemingly random CTD's. I say random because they never happen in the same place twice and will happen anywhere and whenever so I can't even guess to what could be causing them.. Besides a good hunch that it has something to do with one or several of the 120+ Mods I have installed. So yes, I have over 100 mods running. I organise them using Mod Organizer, I have cleaned all mods that BOSS says require cleaning using TESVedit and I have obviously let BOSS organise my load order, I don't use any mods BOSS doesn't recognise so I am presuming it is sorting the load order properly. So I like to think I have installed everything correctly.. I enabled logging to try and see if it could tell me anything but I couldn't decipher anything from it, so I have attached the log to this post for anyone that understands them. TL;DR: I am experiencing random CTD's, PC is more than capable, I use BOSS & have cleaned all files with TESV Edit. Papyrus log is attached. Thank you very much for any help!
  6. Hmm, I kind of consider what I do cheating but I justify it in my head. I will speed level skills like Enchanting & Smithing and by speed level I mean after making as much gold as I can buy all the iron/leather strips I can from a vendor repeatedly and make iron daggers ect.. But I justify this because I find these levels boring so otherwise just wouldn't do them, I couldn't imagine actually mining huge amounts of ore for instance. But I don't want to miss out on the potential bonuses so I just do it quickly to get it out of the way. Another thing I do is I will spawn in health and stamina potions BUT I don't consider this cheating because of the system I use, I will only spawn in potions suitable to my level and I always pick up and hunt for ingredients and level my Alchemy skill the only reason I spawn in the potions is because I don't like having a bunch of different potions that do the same thing but heal different amounts so you end up with heaps of them in you inventory to scroll through. Rather I just spawn in the common potions you can find in the stores appropriate to my level. That is about all the cheating I otherwise play a pretty legit game.. Master difficulty, SkyRE, No Quick Travel, Realism mods ect.. So I don't know about your adjusted Weight and speed levelling, how do you justify it? Maybe it's not that bad. But I suppose if we're all honest with ourselves the answer is Yes we are all cheating when we do things like this haha, I think some are just worse than others.
  7. Thanks for the heads up. Ouch from $70 to $85 (AUD) that is quite a lot of money here haha, at least to me! Don't think I can afford either. I'll just stick to donating once or so every year by buying a months membership. My AUS net can barely go beyond the speed cap anyway so there isn't much in it for me other than supporting the site. Maybe you guys should consider a sale so you get lots of sales you might not have otherwise got, might make you more money in the long run, hope I don't get flamed too badly for this suggestion just would be nice for broke people like me and possibly make more money (who knows? I don't). Good luck funding the site hope you get the money you deserve I'll keep donating when I can.
  8. I know extending uGirdsToLoad does make the game look better "usually" but in this case from my screenshots extending them has just made things look worse? I really don't know a whole lot about this stuff but my best guess so far is that maybe the distant detail from "Enhanced Distant Terrain & EDT2" was just sharper looking than what the game looks like if you actually load the distant terrain by extending uGrids and because I have extended uGrids EDT1 & 2 are no longer visible here? I decided to extend uGrids because I wanted to try out "Stable uGridsToLoad" which seems to be great because before I was having issues with uGrids at 7 but now I'm running at 7 fine. I'm also using Ewis "High ini and Prefs.." uGridsToLoad=7 and was using his uGridsToLoad=5 before hand. Have I possibly just done something wrong? Cheers for any advice. Screenshot Comparisons
  9. So for some reason, I really can not remember I decided it would be a great idea to try and remove all my 100+ Mods. I started by going to NMM and deleting the top 4-6 mods intending to go down the list to the bottom but I decided by the 4th or 6th one this was silly and I just copied the Skyrim folder and put it in another folder named "Old Skyrim Modded" then proceeded to install a fresh copy of the game from STEAM. Then before running the fresh copy I also copied the My Games > Skyrim folder to the "Old Skyrim Modded" folder so when I ran Skyrim a fresh one would be created and I would just copy my saves over from the old one and try my luck loading my last save knowing full well it's unlikely it was going to work. However I did manage to find a save that wasn't too old that actually loaded! I was really happy because after trying the first few and them not working I tried scrapping this idea and going back to my backup of my original Skyrim files but deleting and reinstalling those first 4-6 Mods seemed to have done something so I couldn't load anyway it would just crash. My problem is now that although I can get into this save game and play and travel around, any save I make Auto/Quick/Manual will be corrupt so pretty much I can not save anymore the game runs fine but any time I save anywhere (tried inside/outside ect) no matter what I do if I exit the game and try to come back I will have to start from that one working save again because any save after that will be corrupt. Is there any fix? tl;dr: Any save I make instantly becomes corrupt once I exit the game and come back to it forcing me to start from my one and only working save, any fix?
  10. Awesome, I'll be honest I was hoping someone would point me in the right direction I couldn't find a mod myself! Thanks so much.
  11. Why doesn't Skyrim let me have multiple characters. I like to have a few most serious but different classes and one for mucking around on.. Are there any mods that correct this issue or would it be possible for me to manually do it by copying each characters save file and putting them in named folders and just moving the one I want to play into the main save folder when I want to play it or would this corrupt the game some how?
  12. First quickly, Is it just me or has NMM had to update several times over the passed few days or do I have a problem? Main question, When I click on the "latest version" to take me to the mods download page and I click "Download with Nexus Mod Manager" does that do everything like once finished downloading delete the old mod and all that good stuff or do I have to do that manually? Sorry I didn't know where to ask this. Thanks for any help.
  13. Thanks for that, I got what I mainly wanted for now but there is a considerable amount of lag when opening or taking items from the containers. When I open it the game freezes for a minute and when I take something it feels like it's frozen for two minutes.. Would make it pretty annoying to get all of the enchantments. I Take it there are no scripts or mods for this yet then?
  14. Is there such a thing yet? I want a mod or Script Dragon script that adds all enchantments to my enchanting options is this possible?
  15. Alright cheers guys, I will delete all that stuff. Atleast until I find out what it does haha. Appreciate it.
  16. Enchancedperkpoints.asi/ini is the only thing I've got installed I assume that is the name you would search, sorry I cant remember the actual file name but I found it on the nexus by search "Perk points" or something like that. Thanks, I think I will delete everything related to scriptdragon and re-install when it is all up to date just to be safe, I notice it comes with a few things like one to do with the weather and another with horses is it safe for me to delete these? Thanks again. EDIT: This is it: http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1969
  17. Just installed this last night and now I get on to play and ScriptDragons telling me I don't have the right version.. I never thought I could truly hate patches. All I use is a script that makes it so I get 2 perk points per level instead of 1 similar to DefiniteIntegral's thing with wanting to play "Jack of all trades" instead of being limited to a few skills. I'm pretty sketchy when it comes to this kind of stuff can someone tell me what I need to delete so that when the new version comes out I can just install it again without issues?
  18. I would like to be able to max out all the perk tree's I want on my character I have a few picked out but I know I will be capped by the amount of perk points before I can max them. So I was hoping it was possible for a mod like this to be made so that maybe it lets you continue getting perks even past the level cap or maybe you get two perks for every level something like that.. I know I could probably just use the command to get unlimited perk points but that would feel like cheating I still even want a limit so I cant just max every skills perks out so I still have to be somewhat selective with what skills I choose... Would really appreciate something like this I know nothing about modding so not sure if it's a quick or hard thing to do. Thanks!
  19. Thanks for your help, much appreciated.
  20. So when I install it using the NMM it does give me the normally included launcher and I will just find that in /skyrim/mods (where I selected NMM to install mods) and I just need to create a shortcut from that launcher to my desktop? Thanks for your reply.
  21. I have recently started using the Nexus Mod Manager and I was just wandering how the 4GB Skyrim mod worked with it. When I first used it it gave me a new icon to launch Skyrim with which I was under the impression was the icon I had to use if I wanted to play Skyrim with 4GB access but when I downloaded with with NMM it gave me no icon but said it was installed correctly and everything. Does this mean I can launch Skyrim from Steam or the shortcut from STEAM on my desktop and the mod will automatically work? Thanks!
  22. Yeah, I disabled all the mods with the Nexus Mod Manager and the problem was still there but only on ULTRA settings but I never had problems playing ULTRA in the past so I have completely re-installed the game and everything works fine now, I presume it had something to do with all the mods I installed maybe corrupting the game or something? Either way I will install them back in one at a time and test things so I can figure out which one is causing issues. I really like having Skyrim look it's best so I don't want to give up on the graphics enhancing mods and the UI mod is a must have for me. Hopefully when the SDK comes out someone will make a "Ultimate" mod where all textures in the game are made HD and that tweaks the UI to be more PC friendly. *One Day* Thanks for your help.
  23. I have been experiencing some issues, I was unable to play for 3 weeks but before hand I had similar mods installed (earlier versions) mainly graphics enhancing and small tweaks but I didn't experience this bug at all. The Problem: Occasionally when I enter or leave a building so that it has to load the map and takes you to a loading screen it will just get stuck in the loading screen and nothing will happen for ages but the "Hints" will keep refreshing to new ones and the picture show will still zoom in and out and spin around so I don't think it is completely frozen. Now that I came back I installed all the mods I had and a few newer ones to the latest versions and now this problem happens all the time and it's pretty much game braking because if I haven't saved before I go to a door I will lose all my progress because I need to restart the game. It has also happened once when I tried loading from the main screen hitting "Continue" I'm hoping this is heard of and there may be a fix? System: Intel Core i7 930 @ 4.2GHz EVGA GTX 480 - With a medium OC 6GB DDR3 Trident RAM @ 2000Mhz Rampage III Extreme Corsair 1000W PSU Water Cooled so no heat issues and I don't experience any problems with other games. I use: 4GB Skyrim Ceramic Style Potions & Poisons Enhanced Blood Textures Enhanced Night Skyrim Fhaarkas Font Replacement for Vanilla UI Glowing Ore Veins Hires Road Signs Nightingale Prime QD Inventory Realistic Rain Ripples Realistic Smoke & Embers Realistic Water Textures Skyrim HD 2K Textures Skyrim Sunglare V3 Vurts Skyrim Flora Overhaul Each mod updated to their latest release. Thanks for any help!
  24. Thanks, appreciate it. I will use both of them. I wish someone would make a pack with every single image in game made HD that would be awesome, Love re-playing DA:O but it's been a few years and I guess I want something shiny lol. thanks again!
