  1. LOVE the Endorsement pop-up. I'm one of those people who goes out of their way to browse their own tracking and download history to give credit where it's due, but I still get mods that fall through the cracks. Very happy to get a reminder.
  2. Used the Save Game tool and realized I had uninstalled skyBirds improperly and there were about 18 abandoned scripts still running. Cleaned the latest save and was able to play for over an hour without a crash.
  3. Was simply wondering if anyone is familiar with this... Random CTDs when hitting a key. Could be opening the map, opening inventory, looting, Tab, favorites... doesn't matter. Instant CTD. Not every single time, but roughly every 5-10 minutes lately. I feel like it's a game of Russian Roulette when I hit a key. Seems like there's always about a 5% chance of a fast, clean crash to desktop. Doesn't matter where I am. Indoors, outdoors, Whiterun, Breezehome, outside Windhelm, etc. Any suggestions would be welcome. My most recently installed mods: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/11514805/recentmods.jpg
  4. Throwing this out there on a whim. Thinking about doing a potion remake. I get how to model and texture, etc. What I don't understand is this: how does the game derive what color each potion should be? I mean, there is only one texture for all potions - at some point the game determines the color (red, blue, green). How does it know to only change the color of the glass and not the label and cork? Is there some distinction in the actual mesh? Thanks for any help.
  5. I've been dealing with this issue for a long time, and it's aggravating as all hell. All. Hell. I have a handful of HD texture mods, but I mostly pass them by in favor of using ENBs. I ran Skyrim Performance Monitor to see what was happening under the hood and memory was never anywhere near capped. It's the same every damn time. Play for awhile (30 mins) getting ~40 FPS, go inside a dungeon, come back out and WHAM, 10 FPS. Can't Alt-Tab because it will just crash the game. All my mods are up to date, cleaned with TES5Edit, Bashed Patched, BOSSed, etc. Currently using Ewi's INI files with mostly stock settings. Using the latest ENB dlls, Skyrim Project Optimization, SSME, etc. Google something along the lines of "Skyrim fps exterior cell" and you'll see it's a ridiculously common issue, but I've yet to find a working solution.
  6. /necro I tried this, but got a 'SkyUI error code 4' - switch the "iMaxAllocated..." line back to normal and no more error. HOWEVER, my game still slows down after about an hour or so - seems to be related to the number of times I either fast travel or enter and exit cells. I know this is an old thread, but has any new ground been broken on this? I get amazing framerates, then over time my FPS goes to 25-50% of what it should be. Interiors are still fine, but the outside world is a nightmare. Also, tried the 'pcb' command, but it doesn't help.
  7. Just wanted to give a GIANT (huuuuge!) thanks for posting this. Ran into this exact problem tonight and was able to resolve it quickly and easily. Thank you!
  8. Working on re-texturing the outside steps near High Hrothgar. On my work PC the edges and seams of the stonework line up perfectly with the steps, try the exact same texture @ home and it won't line up. The displays are not the same resolution - home is 1080, work is about two-thirds that and windowed, but I didn't think that would make a difference. Any ideas? http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/39790
  9. And it's pretty clear that not everyone wants it. Go post this on the Beth forums, put on your asbestos suit, then sit back and watch how vehemently people respond.
