  1. I5-6200U 8GB RAM DDR4 NVDIA Geforce GTX950M 4GB Started SE for the first time excitingly in high settings, sees 25 fps outside Helgen Keep, pissed myself. Take note that I had an avg of 45fps running Skyrim LE in high settings in 1920x1080 with ENB and 300+ mods, on a LAPTOP. Disabled VSync in the ini files, forced VSync through NVidia Control Panel and Inspector, editted ENBLocal s*** I forgot no ENBLocal working for SSE :'( No noticeable improvements. Had to tweak many options in the INI files to run SSE above 45 now. If you have FPS problems running SSE, here are some other ways to improve it (hopefully) by editting your SkyrimPrefs.ini: - Drop your shadow resolution to 1K aka 1024 (iShadowMapResolution=1024) . No noticeable difference really, shadows still look good in SSE cus they fixed all the blocky issue. - Drop your shadow distance from 3000 to 2800 (fShadowDistance=2800.0000) and (fInteriorShadowDistance=2800.0000) No noticeable difference, got 1-2 fps back. Now if you are very very eager to sacrifice the glossiness on both objects and characters in Skyrim for moar FPS, here's what you can do: Open up Skyrim.ini and add these lines: [LightingShader] fDecalLODFadeEnd=0.0600fDecalLODFadeStart=0.0500fEnvmapLODFadeEnd=0.0fEnvmapLODFadeStart=0.0fEyeEnvmapLODEnd=0.0fRefractionLODFadeEnd=0.0fRefractionLODFadeStart=0.0fSpecularLODFadeEnd=0.0fSpecularLODFadeStart=0.0 Objects will look less shinier/wetter now, but the FPS gain is a LOT. (At least 5)
  2. #2 Hello Boombro, in this case it's entirely different because the skills trees will be affected as well. Say for example, two handed attacks can no longer block (too heavy using just an arm) in early levels but this weakness is compensated with another combat move (like knock over, where you rush forward with your weapon and hit them in their stomach using sword's pommel or something) that comes with this 'disability' condition. Time it properly and it will stagger your opponent like a shield would do at least. I hope you get what I mean :D #3 IKR! Thanks! Good idea on the screen-block when your character is half-blinded, that would be very very immersive. The outfit is just an extra hehe
  3. Got this idea after watching remakes of an oriental martial hero series called 'Romance of the Condor Heroes'. If you didn't know, the main protagonist is a formidable, probably the strongest martial artists in the era, and he only has ONE HAND. (Some drama happened when he was young and he lost his right arm.) So here I wonder if a Skyrim character can be physically disabled. Say for example, losing an arm in a battle against dragon, or it could also be caused by an unique quest-line. When the character only has AN ARM, all attack animations on weapons change, as well as some of the skill trees. No more use of bows. Crossbows maybe. In addition, new outfits like empty sleeve/side cape with HDT physics implemented can also be worn by characters to cover up their disabilities. It would look so tragically heroic to see Dovahkiin adorned with a battle 'scar' like this. Ambitious and vague, but hey, it's fun to share :D
