  1. It literally says: Edit or Add to Skyrim.ini | SkyrimPrefs.ini So if you don't have them add those lines under [Display] in corresponding .ini file Don't have AMD card so can't help with that. Skyrim.ini [Display]iPresentInterval=0 SkyrimPrefs.ini[Display]iVSyncPresentInterval=0
  2. I use Fraps, FPS counter in my screenshots is from it.
  3. No, you have to create profile first in Nvidia Control Panel (Dunno if possible in Inspector) just add .exe and it will create it, like this: http://i.imgur.com/euLdGiP.png Then click House icon in Nvidia Inspector to select Skyrim profile. http://i.imgur.com/G8lEu3B.png
  4. If you already paid 50 eur for base game, and 50 eur for DLC's*
  5. My first impressions... lazy ass Remaster. It could have been an free update for Skyrim like some other Developers did.
  6. You will need to extract them from BSA archives using BSA extracting tool. And no, you will have to download Skyrim Legendary Edition. It's just different time of day I've spent several minutes turning stuff OFF and ON to check what's the problem as well as trying to replicate with certain settings Shadow flickering/dissapearing bug. And yes I've tested it with Godrays ON/OFF (and many other settings, except for Volumetric) before applying Fix and the FPS gains were non-existent to laughable (Well, the only FPS gain I noticed was when I turned everything to lowest possible settings, then I got 50 FPS outside cave xd) Several people on Skyrim reddit confirmed that it solved their framerate issues. By the way, if you apply this FIX there is no need to turn OFF godrays as they don't drop frames anymore (Imo, they are s*** - almost not noticeable) I get ~45-60 FPS with High Godrays when running through Riverwood / Between trees behind it etc. http://i.imgur.com/5QUwbpw.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/0tXpdLp.jpg http://i.imgur.com/BmNAUWl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/j7mXL6Y.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/IaAFRR1.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/gqCSHrK.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Z0X4qk6.jpg http://i.imgur.com/ekrXvHT.jpg Add +4-6 FPS in each screenshot (ie. my real framerate in last screenshot is 48-49) for some reason they go down when I alt-tab to make a screenshot with ShareX (so I can capture it with FPS counter) Also I tweaked my .ini's with some graphical enchantements; shadows on grass, increased distance etc. (and I lost around 3 fps because of that) wasn't something major but there was hit on framerates so if you didn't derp around with .ini's to make game look slightly better you'll get even more.
  7. SkyrimPrefs.ini fShadowDistance=10000.0000 (ULTRA values) fInteriorShadowDistance=3000.0000 (Interior Shadow draw distance | ULTRA values) Don't remember if there was more settings to increase shadow draw distance, google it (Tweaks from Old Skyrim still work)
  8. They gave out a code on Twitter that allowed you to download new CK, not sure if it's still working/available. https://twitter.com/BethesdaStudios/status/791808204619522048 http://i.imgur.com/Zixyvbh.png
  9. I doubt there are any animation mods yet that work. Someone mentioned that CBBE and UNP works just fine with Special Edition. @Edit Found the list of currently working mods (not-ported yet) in Special Edition: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/4984145-currently-working-mods-megathread/ Indeed, UNP and CBBE work.
  10. If it keeps going to 65 like you said (Doesn't for me, I've capped it to 60.7) then I would suggest capping it to one of these: 57.5 | 58.6 | 59.7, should do the job.
  11. Nvidia Inspector didn't work for me first time I tried it, If I remember correctly I've set it to ON and didn't select framerate cap and kept going above 60 FPS in-game, after switching it to FORCE ON and setting Frame Rate Limiter to 60.7 my FPS wouldn't go above 61.
  12. Are you sure you disabled Vsync from Skyrim ini's and configured Nvidia Inspector correctly? http://i.imgur.com/n0xvRr2.png Skyrim.ini [Display]iPresentInterval=0 SkyrimPrefs.ini [Display]iVSyncPresentInterval=0 I'm pretty sure you did something wrong if the Nvidia Inspector VSYNC is not working for you.I have same GPU as you do (4GB variant)
  13. This should FIX bad framerates and all FPS drops for you, it did for me. https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/4988160-fix-to-anyone-who-experiences-low-framerates-fps-drops-in-skyrim-se/ I had choppy framerate that would drop from 60 to 30 here and there, after disabling vsync in .ini's and forcing it through Nvidia inspector my framerates drastically increased, check post for results.
  14. So, to begin with I've been experiencing very low framerates for no reason what so ever, ie. at Helgen cave entrance I had 30 FPS, at this moment I couldn't believe this "WTF?!" considering I was able to run old Skyrim with around ~140GB's of mods and a little bit above 100+ ESP's with ENB at decent avg. 45 FPS with my Setup. Another problem I had with Skyrim SE was: When looking at some places from certain angles my framerate would drop to 30 FPS from 60 FPS, move few steps forward; FPS would go up to 60, move few setps back FPS would go down etc. To the point [FIX] 1. Switch game to Fullscreen mode [May be not necessarry if you use second FIX, for me it works now fine after using the second FIX] (This alone gave me whooping +15 FPS increase outside Helgen cave) 2. Disable Vsync in Skyrim .ini's and FORCE it through tool such as Nvidia Inspector and lock it at 60 FPS, detailed guide can be found HERE for both Nvidia and AMD (This gave me another ~+10 FPS and reduced FPS drops) TL:DR Guide: Stuff to edit/add to Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini Correct configuration of Nvidia Inspector : http://i.imgur.com/n0xvRr2.png To sum up: - Skyrim SE (Ultra Preset, Godrays OFF/ON) -> 30 FPS outside Helgen cave (WTF?!)- Skyrim SE (Ultra Preset, Godrays OFF/ON) + Fullscreen + Vsync disabled in .ini's and forced via Nvidia Inspector -> 55 FPS outside Helgen cave | Random drops in some places either COMPLETELY gone or drop at most to 45 FPS (Feelsgoodman.jpg) BEFORE applying Fix:http://i.imgur.com/oSMRxSR.jpg AFTER applying Fix: http://i.imgur.com/YTogTut.jpg Dragonsreach stairs:BEFORE: 30 FPSAFTER: 54 FPS Whiterun Gate Entrance:BEFORE: 35 FPSAFTER: 52 FPS This also solves the FPS drops with Godrays ON /High quality.PSA: More screenshots on page 2 (No comparision, just performance shown after applying FIX)
  15. I found the culprit of missing shadows / flicker, at least I think so. Disable: - Screen Space Ambient Occlusion- Precipitation Occlusion I disabled Screen Space Ambient Occlusion first then I tried the game - It's kind of hard to get right angle for it to bug out as the angle seems to be totally random, but to the point: It did flicker for a second so the bug was still there. Then I disabled Precipitation Occlusion, for next 1 minute I was moving my camera in every possible angle, fast and slow to check if the shadows on rock on the right side and bushes on the left side would flicker / shadows would dissapear. I didn't replicate the flicker/missing shadows bug successfully which means those 2 settings Bugfesta added are broken/bugged: Unless I was extremely unlucky and it just simply didn't bug out. Try it and let me know results. I'm going to try replicate this bug with those setting turned OFF. @Edit, I replicated the bug successfully with those two settings turned OFF, I had to move mouse by (literally) 1mm for it to happen again, so yeah... it's not problem caused by those settings.
