This is an idea that's been floating around in my head for years, and I think it'd be hilarious if someone implemented it. I'd like a mod where, if you do Whirlwind Sprint towards a wall and the Shout is still ongoing (i.e. the Sprint effect is still active), then you comically smack into the wall, kinda like this, and had to take a second to pry yourself off of it. To me it always seemed a little unrealistic that this wasn't a thing in the vanilla game; it's a bit odd to just see the sprinting animation continue right next to the wall with a 0% chance of smacking.

Took a little digging, but I found it. The problem animation came from the Martial Arts animation file, specficially the Round Kick (which is the right-hand power attack by default). The animation itself is visible ; it's the very first kick that the person in the video does on Heimskr. This didn't cause any problems before I tried installing FNIS, and while I'm not sure exactly when I noticed it, I'm pretty sure the bug only kicked in after I installed it. The other animations I've been using (that's the only one I took from Martial Arts) are from Unarmed Warfare, which hasn't caused me any problems. I'll test this with the other attack animations from Martial Arts and edit this post with the results. EDIT: Curiously, none of the animations from this mod are causing problems now. I wouldn't know why; perhaps switching them around the first time fixed something? Skyrim is weird

I figured out the cause of the problem after lots of prodding around. So, I'm putting it here for anyone else who has this issue. It turns out that the problem was a custom animation I had in place for my unarmed power attacks. I lost track of which animation mod I was using, but I don't think it was too relevant for the purposes of the bug trigger. Basically, removing the specific animation for the power attack that wasn't working (in this case, hand to hand left), completely fixed the issue. After removing it, saving, and trying to add the same animation again, power attacks costed nothing again. However, after adding a custom animation from a different unarmed combat mod, it turns out that one works. Huh. MFW: :psyduck: Anyway, I still have no idea what actually caused it to occur in the first place, but probably this would work for anybody who is encountering this issue with their power attacks. If you don't know exactly what the cause is, try removing any corresponding custom animations first. It is notable that I am using FNIS for PC-exclusive animation paths, and the reason it worked on a new character is because my test race was default Redguards. This is what tipped me off; making a new character with a custom race had the same animations, and thus the same problem.

This is a very annoying bug, and I don't know of any ways to track it. For some reason, any power attacks I do with my left hand on two of my characters don't cost any stamina. It's specifically the left-handed ones, and it seems to be applying retroactively, i.e. all saves with those characters are affected. Notably, a test character I made doesn't seem to have the glitch, but nothing seems to be fixing it for the two primary ones I have. Can anyone think of any possible fixes or traces for this? EDIT: Notably, it seems to apply only to Unarmed left-side power attacks. Which does not help me at all since my current build is Unarmed :pinch:

Excellent. Thank you very much! I considered DreamBurrow's stuff, but I think that last Tembtra Thief Armor set would be perfect for her tastes. I probably never would have found that -- not to mention the Khajiit-specific hair packs -- if you didn't point it out, so thank you again. Kudos

My girlfriend is interested in playing modded Skyrim on my PC, and is likely to be either a female Khajiit or an Ohmes-Raht. She told me she'd like some nice armor to wear for the long haul when she starts, so I've been looking for some appropriate stuff, but there's so much armor on the Nexus that it's a lengthy process. Can anyone think of any sets that would work well for a Khajiit who is primarily a Huntress/Explorer with an interest in archery and thieving? She'd like something practical but still nice-looking. So far the best I've found is the Grace Darklings Ranger Armor, but since I am a Mage first and foremost I might be missing some of the other good options. Any suggestions are much appreciated

Ahh, cool. Thanks, EgoAltar.

Hey Mod Detectives. I'm looking for the hat in the image below; I'm pretty sure the original symbol on it was something different, and the Destruction symbol was an optional change; it was based on a character's hat from something or other, I think. http://i.imgur.com/TCZzwgN.jpg Thank you for checking

Point. Rest of the argument still stands though. ... though, I thought the cheese was of Khajiit persuasion.

... I love you. Anyway, I generally agree with the opening post. What Ulfric says to Galmar in that first conversation you see is rather telling. "I fight so that all the fighting I've already done hasn't been for nothing." He's basically stuck on the path his blind rage put him on, and he knows he has to see it through no matter what. Rikke also alludes to this. Basically, I think Ulfric's heart is probably in the right place, but his overall goals are RIDICULOUSLY shortsighted. Seriously, it is mentioned in at least one place in Skyrim that it is not likely they'll even be able to feed the populace without the Empire - Skyrim is harsh and a lot of the food and resources needed to sustain its current size must be imported. And, overall, Rikke makes no secret of the fact that the Empire is basically biding its time until it can resume open war with the Thalmor - something that the Stormcloaks seem completely blind to. Overall, I think that in the long term, a Stormcloak victory would f*** things up royally. Especially since they seem wholly intent on PROACTIVELY GOING TO WAR WITH THE DOMINION, without any implication of trying to get the support of anyone else. Seriously, wtf, Ulfric? Admittedly, I used to be a Stormcloak advocate, but I've had a lot of time to think about it since then. Again, I am fairly sympathetic to Ulfric as a person, but not to his goals nor the Stormcloaks as a whole. It is unfortunate, but I kill Stormcloaks on sight just as I kill Thalmor, in the interest of ending the war as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Yeah but that doesn't have stuff like this on them: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2j5j1xd&s=5 Nor are they used as enemy mounts, which would be epic, if such a thing is possible.

http://i.imgur.com/hFBCkl8.jpg Find, replace: Elephant, Mammoth Mounted Machine Gun, Mounted Crossbow Seriously, imagine some nomads or bandits riding those things around. It would be so awesome

The race is set up correctly - according to comments on other sites, the robe is also invisble on vanilla Khajiit, as well.
-
See title, basically. I'd like to make the kickass Mage robes below Beast-friendly so my Vaalsark can try them out, but I have absolutely no idea how to do this and Google isn't really helping. How does one do this, exactly? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51175/

Would anyone be interested in clearing out the bandit spawns from Valtheim Towers, removing it from any radiant quest lists, and replacing the Bandits with some Whiterun Guards or such? I ask because this would go very well with the excellent Fleetford mod; the Towers are literally right uphill from the town, and Fleetford is full of badasses so it doesn't make sense that they'd simply let a bunch of bandits live just up the road from them, and the soldier types I mentioned could serve as a small garrison to protect the valuable trading post that Fleetford is.

Nope. There is a Ebony Robe mod that was done, but it is unrelated and looks rather different from this one.
-
Could somebody please look into finishing up this awesome Ebony Robe thing? It looks awesome and I'm sure many people would deeply appreciate it (myself included).

Nexus Mod Manager says that the file header for my Unofficial Skyrim Patch indicates it is an .esm, even though the name indicates it is an .esp file. Is there any way I can fix this? It prevents me from activating the patch properly, which is annoying.

The Notched Pickaxe is a pretty cool easter egg, but it would officially be the best Pickaxe ever if someone turned it into an Ancient Nordic Pickaxe from Dragonborn. If a top-tier Minecraft Pickaxe can potentially handle Diamond, it should be able to handle Stalhrim

Which Daedric Plane would you like to see in the future?

Moonshadow Moonshadow Moonshadow Moonshadow. Seriously. That place is made of scenery porn, and I would love to see what Bethesda can do with it if they really cut loose. Plus, in-universe, I am totally an Azura worshipper (in my opinion she is the coolest deity in the series by a fair bit), and she'd probably have the player do some really interesting stuff, given the precedent Morrowind set. If being the Champion of Azura keeps you from being stricken half-blind too, then hey, bonus  -
That seems to only work for the Vampire Lord transformation itself, to keep people from running off in fear. Not what I mean.
-
Could somebody please whip up a mod where you can play through the Dawnguard faction as a Vampire without Isran stopping you from advancing? (at least, I think that's how it works) I need it for some specific roleplay I am doing for my current character. I figure, hey, if Isran stops sending Vampire Hunters after me, I will stop killing them every time he does, and in exchange I will also kill Vampires for him since most of them are pricks anyway. He stops feeling compelled to throw away perfectly good men, and they stop trying to kill me at really inconvenient times. Win-win.

Nope. Never heard of it.

Seconded. This sounds like a pretty good idea. -
Somebody should totally make an inexplicably floating Mantis Shrimp follower who is a bit smaller than a Chaurus. With CLAWS OF DEATH. This is why: http://theoatmeal.com/comics/mantis_shrimp Mantis Shrimps are just generally awesome. And one that large could probably punch a hole in the universe or something.
