  1. Well that's not really a solution, since it would mean losing all my progress and I put a lot of effort into this playthrough. For the record, it's crashing with them still in place too.
  2. I've downloaded the new F4SE and my game crashes upon trying to load a save game, even with ALL mods disabled. I've tried loading various savegames in case of savegame corruption but the game still crashes upon loading saves. I can start the game without F4SE both in Steam and NMM. So something is going on that I don't understand. I have the exact same problem.
  3. Well unfortunately, it's still crashing for me even with the newest version of FO4SE. In fact, it crashes even if I DON'T run the game with FO4SE. And it crashes with mods, without mods, no matter what saves I load (including some really old ones).
  4. I think they're different from the Trauma Harness guys, who are skeletons inside suits that animate them, and in a sense still alive (or perhaps undead would be closer to the mark), mutated by exposure to the Cloud over a long period of time. As for what they look like, no-one knows, since the suits are fused to their bodies. I assume vaguely humanoid, probably greenish considering that's the color of their blood.
  5. Even more than that; you guys should check this out: http://www.falloutnewvegastour.com/
  6. Yes, that's very much possible to do; you can skip all the stuff in between Goodsprings and the Strip if you want, meeting Benny will advance the quest normally.
  7. I think it's meant as an easter egg more than anything else, but quite cool.
  8. There is a picture of James and Catherine (the Lone Wanderer's parents) in Vault 21.
  9. Best way to stay evil? Become a cannibal; you lose karma with each feed and it's a great way to heal after combat, too.
  10. Oh yes, I jumped in my chair when that happened  In fact, I found the Dunwich Building in general one of the creepiest places in the game.
  11. Ah, choices, choices...I like Veronica's perkiness, Arcade's clever snark...and strangely enough Fantastic's lines. His ""They asked me how well I understood theoretical physics. I told them I had a theoretical degree in physics. They said welcome aboard." line is one of the funniest things I've heard in the game. But ultimately, I have a soft spot for Boone, despite his surliness. Intense, "dark past" characters are a weakness of mine, I guess.
  12. I'm female and both my first playthroughs have also been with females, but I do plan a future Energy Weapon oriented character to be male. For me it's more about character building than my own gender; I can play either just fine.
  13. Nope, you don't have to; I triggered the quest without being anywhere the bunker. What I did was visit Camp McCarran which has two triggers and the Old Mormon Fort which also has one.
  14. Well, yes, that may be one approach but I wouldn't say it's the only point of an RPG. My current character is female but the idea wasn't to match my own gender or for her to resemble me in any way; instead what I had in mind was to recreate a character from my writing/imagination as closely as possible and introduce her to the Fallout setting. A future playthrough will very likely involve a guy, someone I believe would suit a ruthless, self-centered character. Plus, I'm curious what differences there are between genders as far as gameplay goes.
