  1. Maaan was expecting March.. so another month to wait. Gonna be good though got some ideas for mods already. Tbh Fallout4 has little replayability for me and as ive put 3days+ worth of gametime in and dont wanna follow the story again. The Creation Kit will expand the game and hopefully make a second playthrough better.
  2. I placed a workshop in Quincy and turned it into a settlement. I plan on making a mod which allows you to take over once enemy controlled cities to give a sense that you are changing the Commonwealth. I felt the same about Gunners HQ as well, i was expecting a questline or someway to destroy their chain of command or even join them. It was just full of enemies like any other part of the map but with higher level weapons.
  3. Could always fly there using console codes? Not sure if the coat is obtainable though, havent finished the main questline yet.
  4. I think it would be impossible to completely protect the whole of Boston even excluding Lexington and Cambridge, simply because its so big and there isnt enough people to do it. Creating the region's main hub within a stadium was a great idea as the walls are already there, you just need protection. Maybe if the Brotherhood settled sooner then they could have created more safezones but the city is already overrun by ghouls, raiders and super mutants. The only person who has the power to do anything about it is the player. There is no government, structure or major faction which can take on the whole city to protect it. The idea of having a 'clean' city doesn't really make sense ethier, people have food and water to worry about not some cars blocking off a road. People are trying to live and sustain themselves in new settlements and not the existing ones. Dont get me wrong, I would love more friendly settlements within Boston, fortified walls, tyrant leaders etc but the whole city just seems implausible. I am planning on editing Diamond city's defences when the GK comes out, placing more turrets and guards and closing off some streets to create a better defence strategy, other than that im okay with just having two major cities within Boston.
  5. Im hoping that just placing a workshop will allow you to build where ever you want within that radius, and that the radius can be adjusted via the propertiries. Ethier way we need the Geck to do this so you gotta wait till spring/Q1. My first mod will be placing one in Concord because i want to block of the streets and recreate Woodbury from TWD :)
  6. I was hoping to build around or even repair exisiting structures (i wanted to fortify Concord,) but looks like the main idea is building new ugly wooden shacks. Good to have in the game but atm its console level and not god tier pc modding tier.
  7. Go onto Fallout4.ini and try turning the "1" into "0" [Weather] bPrecipitation=1
  8. 14 Hours in with no break, even if my save did delete its self and i had to start again. Somethings are bugging me which i will try to fix or hope someone else will fix when the CK is released. Move Dogmeat to a location further away, maybe a location you visit later on in the main storyline. No real reason why two companions were thrown at you straight away. Disable the Red Rocket as a settlement location, also remove the power armour stand from either the garage or the one in Sanctuary. Two in such a small area. More settlement location options, I personally wanted to build in Concord but wasn't allow to. This will be easy to implement if placing a workshop means you can build in that immediate radius. Edit the quest within Concord, remove power armour and replace minigun with a sniper rifle to introduce the player to stealth/long distance firing/vats. Remove the stupid Deathclaw battle in the first quest of the game and replace it with more raider spawns/raider boss. Dialogue will still be there but the quest would look stupid to me. Alternative starts, opening annoyed me. Was thinking I would be living in a vault for at least some of the time and have time to bond with my family. Maybe an option which allows you to resurrect your wife and have her as a romance partner/companion? Diamond city upgrades. Block off more alleyways to make the city easier to defend, more guards within the foyer/compound and within the city. More buildings stretching up into the stands, more crops to show wealth and population size. Adjust floodlights to be displayed at greater distances (only really show up when ugrids are set higher). More dialogue options and speech checks for roleplayers, dont really seem to use anything apart from charisma. Always have the stupid 'sarcastic' option despite what character youre playing.
  9. The sheer density of Boston makes up for any disagreements about the map size. Washington was hit head on by a nuke and was a ruin and bland. Where as Boston didnt feel the full force of one, so its great to see buildings still upright and how they would have looked in 1950. Boston still feels like a real city where as D.C just looked like a city in a game.
  10. Dont mind the voice acting even though i would have liked more voice options, but i would have prefered the list for dialogue options instead of the four buttons. Simply allows for more options to choose from and something which would fit your play through more.
  11. Try 'TCL' in the console, allows you to clip and overlap peices more freely.
  12. I have fast, unlimited and realible internet but it still pisses me off. Its not even a day one patch its a day one download half the game. My game came with a manual the thickness of an atom and no pullout map!
  13. Saw Concord in the gameplay videoes and wanted to turn it into a settlement, only to find out i couldnt and was forced to build new buildings instead of upgrading or building within existing ones :( Was also hoping the Concord raider/power armour quest was just a showcase for the demo, dont see any reason why they gave us such high end armour so early on.
  14. Never even completed Skyrim and i had the game at launch. My first save got corrupted and playing with mods was unstable do I never really fully played the game at all despite how much I loved it.
  15. Dont get me wrong.. it just works, and I like how building stuff just snaps together. But I was under the impression that we could build ANYWHERE (with some exceptions,) pretty much like the RTS mods. I set my dreams of concurring Concord and recruiting my new friends to rebuild the city, place some fences on the streets and start a community. I was disappointed when I was pushed to settle in Sanctuary, the very place where I lost my wife and child.. bad memories all over the place, no thanks. Fresh new start within the new world. Is it so easy as to add/place a workshop in an area to be able to build in? Can we do that now without mods? Because after the GECKs/CK release I want a mod which allows you to place one anywhere and with any building radius you want. I want once BIG hub not lots of tiny places to trade between. I want a home.
  16. Theres mods which introduce Hold taxes and income tax etc which are good money sinks. Downloading mods which allow you to build or rebuild homes are good money wasters as well and you see some sense of achievement afterwards.
  17. Are you using the fix version? I had problems before i tried the other mod which fixed some issues. I also made a mod which incorporates clothing from the mods onto NPCS and adds some more Westeros type stuff. You might find it interesting if you're a GOT fan? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/60078
  18. In response to post #22995624. #22996854, #23004719 are all replies on the same post. I would prefer a new Fallout game. I want the Elder Scrolls series to make the most of the tech and go 64-bit, directx11 and shizz and not be so unstable when modding.
  19. I would love the Laketown from the films in Skyrim, it looks so medieval and clustered. I know how annoying it is building upon water however, having to do navmeshes twice etc. And the supports to hold the buildings up never look good when viewing them from underwater http://img4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20140701202550/lotr/images/a/ac/LakeTown.jpg
  20. Im currently trying to mod some of the Jarl's schedules but noticed that most have REF in their name, and i don't think ive ever come across this before. The only AI packages they have is being exiled (after the CW questline) and i can't figure out how they are operating with no AI and how i can fix it. All the other npcs in game are working as usual, and only the original copy of the npc exists.. im pretty sure the npc is used for being exiled and not a duplicate of the npc. Any help?
  21. Interesting times in the Goodfellow mod shop! Update to Milos Hotsprings coming soon - Navmeshes, hut interior with inn & navmeshes! The twins - a GOT inspired player home and toll bridge! Ahzid Diin – the smallest and simplest city to complete in my three city project! Bloodstone and Umhrud Deep on hold ATM in till I gain more modding experience.
  22. Im currently making a mod which adds an interior to the 'RTnorthgate01' However in the game the player is just teleported to the top of the keep so i have nothing to work with. Can anyone link me or provide suggestions in how i could make a realistic looking interior or a mod which i could draw inspiration from? Theres like a log cabin at the top which i could use a 1 story Riften house for.. but then i would need a stone interior which is split into two and have enough stair choices to fit everything in..
  23. Because games which offer modding allows a player to play how they want to. And thats what makes them so great.
