I thought SkyWind was built from the ground up? I mean it makes sense, because in my mind I was actually laughing at the thought of people being able to play a replicate of Morrowind with high graphics for free. Which led me to think how Bethesda would actually go about this and have accepted it. I just can't fit in my mind how Morrowind is required if Bethesda specifically told them they can't use assets because it's against their EULA to port over assets from one game to another.

  3. I can confirm that I got a virus downloading a mod here and that it was not Fallout 4 since I do not play and own the game. I've only tracked some Fallout 4 mods. I've only been downloading Skyrim mods since it's the game I've been playing for a long while now. Now my windows is a victim of counterfeit and I'm having extremely a hard time trying to remove this. I have the same exact trojan virus as this person here http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/protect/forum/protect_defender-protect_scanning/trojanwin64patchedazgendll-help/f94ffade-3810-494d-ba1f-76ecda44c461?auth=1

  5. Unfortunately not everyone thinks like that. I want to believe Fallout 4 is going to work right out the box, but I know it won't. It hasn't for a very long time with their previous titles and it won't with Fallout 4. No game should be 100% bug free but if you have 200+ bugs in your game, it's not been thoroughly tested. I hope that most pc users think twice before pre-order and wait before actually buying it. I know that the anticipation is hard, but boycott is a must if we want to be treated like loyal consumers. A video game should be no different than any other commercial product on the market. However, this practice of broken games isn't just Bethesda. It's a practice that goes around in a circle in the gaming industry and the youth and the inexperience are the one's that don't realize that pre-ordering only gives them more of a reason to continue this bad practice. It's not professionalism. It's not reliable and efficient when a company has this ongoing history of criticism due to faulty products. I can only hope that Todds words about really putting everything into this game that he really means it. But after so many times dealing with the drama of their broken games, I cannot rely on his word, nor give in to temptation to buy their product until I review the followering...

No place can hold a mod if the author requests it to be removed after being banned. There won't be no lawsuit, because rightfully any assets that are Bethesda are no one elses but their's. Anything that pertains to the actual modder such as custom meshes, textures etc.. that can be filed as a lawsuit, if it's been copyrighted. No website for that matter wants to deal with lawsuits and gain a negative reputation over someone's work. So the easiest solution is to remove the work as requested.

Seweryn, I agree with you on this. Modding is a humble hobby. It has been for a very very long time. But now people are demanding donations. Just as much as they did endorsement. The entitlement I swear. This place is the Facebook of modding. All these narcissistic people just feeling demanding, and if they don't get it, they throw a fit until they do get it. Not making enough, find a better job. I'll spare the lecture. But yeah, these people wouldn't get a nickle out of me. Don't care how many hundreds of hours are put into the project. No one is holding a gun to their head and demanding it be made. Want money? Get a job.

We shouldn't have to have downgrades because of console. A console is not a pc and never will be, and I'm sick of devs trying to force this on us pc gamers. It's bad enough MMOs are constantly outdated and never revamped because that tugboat last gen console can't handle any more but we have to deal with it. Which is why I wish MMOs would just make servers for pc gamers only so we can enjoy the latest graphics and upgrades without being held back with those wannabe pcs called PS and Xbox. This whole mod for console probably won't even matter to them. All console gamers care about is plug n play. I doubt most of them even care about fixing a load order or using complex things like script extenders to get the best out of it. Lets see how much their consoles last from long long hours of gameplay. I'm not sure what Todd was thinking all these years, but console gamers only care about buying games, playing it once, tossing it on the shelf, buy another game, toss it on the shelf once finished and so on. They don't care about 300+ hours of gameplay on one single game.

I mean purchase this game until... my error on that. I would never pre-order a game, ever. If people want to, that's them. I'll make smarter investments. And when people stop pre-ordering, it makes Bethesda panic. But if we send the message clear that we've had enough with broken games and constant broken patches, they'll have to meet our expectations. I don't expect them to fully patch the game 100% because that's impossible, but I do expect them to do a better job than the previous titles and what they done to Skyrim. I mean you would think the amount of pre-orders there have been in the past would serve as some kind of influence to keep patching the game until it's at a more stable and playable level. Take it from this I just wrote above why monetized mods will never work. A modder who makes 25% profit (which is complete garbage) selling you a mod will not be influenced enough on money to keep patching the game if he's making a really sh_tty profit from his/her work. The amount of PMs and modder playing customer support is well not worth that 25% profit. Even if you have 100 mods up and selling. Good luck with all those PMs about people complaing and demanding a fix instantly because they purchased that mod.
  11. In response to post #25865099. #25877194 is also a reply to the same post. Here's the best thing Bethesda could ever do to generate revenue for the PC version On a serious note: Bethesda will not integrate P2M (pay 2 mod) from the get go. That literally would be the dumbest move they do in 2015, or one of the top 5 dumbest things done in 2015. If they plan to implement a monetize system for mods, it'll be done by the time they release the GECK after they've changed the EULA to their benefit, which will not be released at the launch of the game fyi (for your information). Whether they go through with this or not, I'm not going to pre-order this game until... 1. I know for sure no monetize system will be integrated into Fallout 4. 2. If it's not integrated, I'm going to wait for the final edition. I'm not spending extra USD for the DLCs separate. 3. If it's using Creation Engine, are we going to get shafted with animations like Skyrim? having to use a havok system. Fore said himself he's not making a FNIS 2 for another game period. I know because I know. If they meet my expecations and listen to me, then I'll buy the game retail price as a courtesy. If not, my money is not worth their financial interests.
