Awsome bit of info. Thanks again buddy.

Thanks Striker, I actually figure it out. I was messing around tweaking meshes and such trying to make weapons more shiny around the same time. Anyway, I noticed when I tried to equip my silver mace, the game crashed. There were also 2 silver maces in the cell that I had dropped. Even I was smart enough to put 2 and 2 together on that one. I uninstalled my mesh tweak to the mace and bingo, the cell loaded. Just curious though...I don't know what you mean by coc center or coc in general. Can you explain it? thanks

Thanks, sounded like a good idea, but still crashes. Load bar goes maybe an eighth or qaurter inch and then crashes. Is there any way to delete items from a save? Any other commands that might be useful?

I've been playing Adense Epic Dungeon for a while now and it's pretty amazing. Unfortunatley, I ran into a bunch of vampires and somehow got my strength lowered. I had no spells, potions, or ingredients to fix myself, so my only option was to drop almost all of my inventory in order to move. After I dropped everything, the game continued to run fine. I made my way out of the dungeon to Imperial City, bought a restore strength potion and returned to the dungeon. After making it all the way back to where I came from, the game crashes when I try to enter the door to the cell where I stashed all of my stuff. I tried removing bloat with Wrye Bash, but no help. It must have something to do with too many objects (my stuff) in the cell, right? That's the only thing I can think of. Does anyone have any idea what would cause this crash and how to fix it? Thanks in advance. OC3

Thanks! I never noticed that before.. It is indeed almost exactly the same as I described. the only differences are 1. The lack of ability to add a comment, which I think is important. 2. It would still help to have it accessed by a button on the main page instead of being embedded in a drop down list. To help act as a reminder. Thanks again. This is still a HUGE improvement for me. Can't believe I never knew about it.

I am wondering if it possible to make an addition that would improve the endorsement feature. The idea is to have a button on the main page called " Endorsement Center" or something like that. Then, when a logged in user presses that button they are taken to a list of the mods they have downloaded and are eligible to vote on. Next, one simply presses an icon next to the file name to endorse it and leave a comment OR remove the mod from the list because you don't wish to endorse. Simple. No more trying to remember which mods you wanted to endorse and having to go back to the mods page to do so. The benefit is that the button would be a constant reminder to endorse and the easy interface would encourage voting for mods that people feel deserve it. This will hopefully give a more accurate picture of the percentage of users that like the mod. I believe many people don't endorse due to simple forgetfullness and time. I have seen many great mods with very few endorsements. (not that I am thinking of any of mine or anything) :whistling: I know this is true because I myself have endorsed very few mods and I use a lot that I think are fantastic. I just don't have time to find and visit each individual page to endorse them...that's if I can remember which ones I like. Does anyone else like this idea?

Just in case anyone was wondering how it turned out... The instant crash at startup was caused by an INI tweak. Apparently it did not like by monitor resolution. Unintalling all mods did not fix the hair clipping or lip sync issue. Only a full wipe of the oblivion folder and reinstall worked.

No sense in getting into reinstall woes as well (i.e. don't skip the registry cleaning step). Good luck, and sorry I couldn't be of more help. Thanks Striker! I will definately use the reinstall guide. Thanks for the link.

Update, I don't know what I have done, but I am a frog's hair away from deleting everything and reinstalling Oblivion and my 200+ mods. Nothing seems to help. I tried reinstalling the ORIGINAL VANILLA head mesh ( I thought the mesh issue might be related to the lip animation issue), with the same results. STILL had hair clipping ( no hair mods installed). This was AFTER I tried redownloading and reinstalling Robert's head meshes. THEN, I decided to try to try to download and install 'Head06' by Throttlekitty, since I thought it may be a head mesh / head.egt file thing and his mod contained both. I know it is not his fault, as he is a good modeler. I thought that might solve my problems.......But Nooooooo. Now after 4 hours of straight troubleshooting...the game crashes INSTANTLY when I try to launch it. I know it has something to do with the humanhead.egt file that was replaced when I installed humanhead06, but..., I have tried undoing everyting I have done to no avail. I am worn out and done, unless someone can help very soon. This has now gone from a no lip movement and a hair clipping issue to a COMPLETE REINSTALL!!! NOTE: I have no idea where the egt files came from in my meshes/ characters folder. If I knew that may help. Reinstalling in 18 hours. Thanks, if you can help!!!

I never noticed that before, but it makes perfect sense. I'm still having the problem even after uninstalling all of the unofficial patches and restoring my sounds.BSA file from backup. That should leave me with nothing but vanilla voice files. Now I am starting to think it may be an animation or mesh issue. Still having hair clipping issues with Roberts bodies and some characters eyes seem to be slightly rolled upwards. Also, often times guards and others give no greeting when I approach. I wonder if this all related. Thanks
-
Thanks Striker I did completely uninstall it, files and all. Problem persisted. I also found that the UOP supplementals have a voice folder with an oblivion.esm folder inside. So those two are the source of the additional lip and voice files. I have not tried it with the UOP supps uninstalled, but I did do a reinstall of the UOP supps and the problem is still there. One strange thing though...The problem seems to be intermittant now. (maybe it was all along) Sometimes it works and then a moment later with the same character, it doesn't. I am beginning to think I have corrupt files somewhere, otherwise I think my google searches would have turned up something.
-
Just answered one question. Checked my laptop which has vanilla oblivion installed, and there is no voice folder at all inside the data/sound folder and therefore to oblivion.esm folder either. So evidently a mod placed it there. Still no idea why lip animations are not working. Several searches have turned up nothing either.
-
Actually, the oblivion.esm folder ( I accidentally called it a file before) I am refering to is in the data/sounds/voices folder and has the lip files and voice files in it. It is also wierd that if I remove the esm folder from the voices folder, it behaves exactly the same.

Do a search for invisible meshes and you will find some info. I just had a similar problem and it seems that invisible armor is a common problem. If things are showing up OK in Nifskope but not in game it may be a mesh problem rather than a texture problem. I was trying to tweak the mesh for the cat's tails and when I exported it back to a NIF file, it was invisible in game. I had to compare my NIF block structure to the original and discovered that one block was missing and others were not in the same order. Once I corrected things, it worked normally. It was totally mesh related. I suggest you do the same in NIFskope. Just make sure there are no missing blocks or things that appear out of order. Sorry to not be more descriptive but I'm not a NIF expert and just barely muddled through it myself.

I've been reinstalling Oblivion with a lot of mods after reinstalling my OS. At some point (I'm not sure when unfortunately), I noticed that there is no lip movement from almost all characters. The only ones that seem to work are new characters from mods. The voice sound works fine. Everything worked fine before the reinstall. I'll post a load order when I can. In the mean time, does anyone have a general idea of what kinds of things would cause this? I installed diverse voices, but uninstalling made no difference. Is it possible I goofed up installing a body mod? Would that even matter. The reason I ask is that the head mesh for Roberts body has clipping with hair and helmets, so I may have the wrong head installed. I don't see why that would matter though. Also I noticed that I have an Oblivion.esm folder inside the voices folder. Is that normal? Shouldn't that info be in the BSA archive unless there is a mod modifying it?

Playing this on the XBox for now... Does anyone else HATE the world map? I feel like I am having to fight it to look at what I want. What's up with the camera not orbiting fully. If I can't move the camera freely, I would really just as soon have a 2d map. I hate the overly contrasted textures and the overdone HDR that blows out light colored areas. Not a big fan of the totally non-immersive menus. I like the perks menu though. The characters often look absolutely horrible especially the alien looking elves. The greybeards look really bad. Their facial wrinkles are way over done. Love the blowing snow effect... it's awesome. I Pretty much like everything else. Considering that it's on a console, it's really amazing that they accomplished all they did. Overall it's an awsome game so far. I think I can overlook everything except the bad looking character modelling and texturing.

EDIT: Just to be clear, what I am saying below is that you should have better performance while using this mod as opposed to not using it. I think I have figured out why so few people are downloading this mod. They are assuming that it will be a performance killer. It's not. In fact, performance in the Imperial city with Better Cities should IMPROVE when using this mod. It actually runs smoother inside Imperial City than it does in say, Bravil, or Cheydinhal, even around the palace. So if you are using Better Cities, you definately should use this. Here's why. When I was working on this, I discovered that there WERE actually 2, yes 2, light sources inside of each streetlamp and wall mounted lamp in IC. As if that weren't bad enough, light sources that overlap each other cause a severe perfomance hit as each pixel is lit twice. Not only does that kill performance, it creates an ugly greenish tint near the light. But that's not all. Those 2 light sources used animated flames. Yes, 2 animated flames, that you could not even see, inside each lamp. This mod eliminates one of those animated light sources from every lamp in imperial city!! So even though I have added a few light sources, the total number is actually much less than what there originally was. So enjoy the prettier lighting with no performance hit and probably an increase. My link OC3

The author has posted a solution here... http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/319975-obge-liquid-water/page__view__findpost__p__3509516 I hope it works since I have the same issue. It also happens in the wilderness and other areas, not just in IC. OC3

I don't have that problem, but as for the random light bug problem that many are experiencing... The author has posted a solution http://www.thenexusf...ost__p__3509516 I know this really isn't the right thread for this, but I posted it here by mistake and couldn't delete it...Sorry

Just spent the whole weekend trying to fix the issue of Oblivion not starting with the OBSE loader and thought I would share what I did to fix it. It would start fine by running it with the oblivion.exe file, but would not even start at all when using the obse loade.exe. The problem ended up being a couple of missing dll files in the OBSE plugins folder. If this ever happens to you, look in each mod package for the obse plugin folder and compare the contents to Oblivions obse plugins folder located in the data folder. If you find a missing one, recopy it to the correct location. In fact, while doing all this, you may as well recopy each one that you find just in case you have a corrupt dll in the plugins folder. In short, missing or corrupt obse plugin files will cause oblivion to not open with the obse loader, so check for missing ones and replace. If that fails, recopy all of them. If that fails, it's something else. Hope this helps someone.

Hi, You should install Better Cities and its Open cities plugin as ordered by BOSS. I renamed the Better Clocks esp in V2.0, as a result BOSS is not going to recognize it (didn't think about that at the time). Just make sure you load it AFTER Better Cities/Open Cities, and if upgrading from an older version, make sure to deactivate and delete the old clocks esp. The only Clocks esp that should be in the load order is Better Clocks for Better Cities 2_0.esp If you still find any land tearing after doing the above, message me. It's always possible I could have missed something.

The description says it all. If Open Cities compatibility was what was keeping you from this, then download here... Better Clocks for Better Cities

For those that do not like the lit up effect of the IC tower in my Better Cities Imperial CIty Lighting Overhaul, but would otherwise like it, there is now a fix for that. Imperial City Lighting Overhaul Enjoy!

Thanks to everyone for all the latest comments. They are all helpful and interesting. Thanks also for the compliments! Yes, the sewer mod is just a small part of the overall game, so I can understand people not being to eager to DL it. The interesting thing is that I had to take steps to make sure I did not affect the physics of all like items in the entire game. While it may have been cool, it would likely have had unforseen consequences. I am thinking of making a new mod that adds some of the physics enabled objects to various places in the world, but I don't know if it's worth it with Skyrim coming so soon. If anyone has any other opinion on why the IC Lighting Overhaul is not more popular , chime in. It actually does have visual effect on the entire game. Could it be a poor description, perhaps not that many people use BC with all IC districts enabled, or is the lit up tower too much? Maybe I could make the tower light optional. Thanks for the help. Thanks to all for their comments and I welcome more, please. Especially @ razorpony, I think you hit on something that I missed, I have now changed my description to make it clear that one does not need to play through the whole tutorial to experience this mod. You can re-enter the last part of the sewer exit through a trap door under a bush outside the sewer exit, and then replay the last 5 minutes or so of the sewer exit in an entirely new atmosphere. There is also a great loot to be found. Maybe I didn't make it clear enough that you did not have to replay the whole tutorial... Thanks to you, I've maybe improved my description. Thanks for you input OC3
