  1. I hope to see you there soon! :D

Sorry I've been gone so long. The extremely questionable actions taken towards me that member of the staff has only tried to delay me over and over about, that went from weeks to months to now a half a year, kind of kept me away. I won't go into detail about it as the person and action in question would only harm the nexus if I elaborated upon it publicly, even if the staff that promised to take care of it never did. I just lost my faith in this place. But anyway, I might pop in now and again.

Then why mention it at all? You've been pushing at this since it happened. Enough is enough - TVD.

  2. I know I've been gone for a while, however, all my old friends can find me on Civis minecraft server. Here's our add blurb that summarizes what the server I co-own is.

    About Horde:

I hope to see my old friends come visit!

For anyone else, all nexus members are welcomed here. It is indeed a lovely server. Sorry I haven't been active in forums for a while.. just been wrapped up in this minecraft. xD

  3. It's been a year, to date, since my last post here. I could really use a request. I need to start on my poetry again, and I'm not exactly inspired. I could use someone sparking my interest.
  4. To Rise at Sunset.

    My heart has become shallow,

    my soul no longer hallow,

my eyes are burdened with sight.

    Mind always in a fog,

    body always in ague,

relax I can't; My waking plight.

    Legs fatigued to tremble,

    thoughts as far as Kembel,

To find any peace, I must fight.

As I awake I notice my solitude,

    silence creeps as voices elude.

I hold onto my sanity with all my might.

    In my time I've noticed an irony;

In time, I find myself on the boundary.

Days or weeks, it's anyone's bet.

    Dulled by continual monotony,

my cares turn to sour apathy.

    Neither calm nor upset.

    Ever more low, falling from high;

    melancholy always rather nigh.

This lifeless living my one true regret.

    Drifting off, sleep so finite,

Resting only on the apex of light.

It's the life I live, to rise at sunset.

Thought I might as well return with a new poem.

    Kudos if you like it.

Be well, sleep well, fight well, live long.

    (A glimpse in my mind.)

  5. @Ranokoa wishes to be banned now.

I would like to have stayed till I finally got responded to by a few of the staff members here for vastly varying topics, but I've been waiting a very very very long time. I don't mind waiting so much, I am a patient person. But I'm done waiting, as I wish this to happen more than I wish to be responded to at this point. (Yes, I understand how busy things can get, which is why I am so patient.)

Be well, sleep well, fight well, live long.

It's been fun. I'll see you when I see you.

PS: I can't leave without saying this one last time: Myrmaad, you're freakin' awesome. <3

  6. I have a curious question: Are there two different groups of "banned" members? Just as there are two different groups of Members, one for the Mod Author forum and one for those who aren't? In this I mean:

1: If you request a ban, are you in a different group of ban than those who did something such as piracy? So that you may still do something such as check your inbox, or have some control over your mods or something?

  7. 'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house,

several hundred creatures were stirring, in particular, Gary, the mouse.

With nose pointed upward, piercing the midnight air,

Gary foraged onward, with diligence and care.

Gary looked and looked 'till something special would catch his eye,

like a marshmallow gumdrop, or cheese bricks stacked so high.

If he were lucky, he might see the fridge open a-jar,

Then he'd finally be able to break into that half-finished candy bar!

Then, just as he snapped out of his day-dream,

He saw the prize, all covered in rich buttery cream.

Sitting like a trophy on the counter so very, very high,

it caught his attention, a delicious freshly baked pie.

He scurried across the kitchen just as fast as he could,

Eyes never leaving the pedestal from which the pie stood.

He jumped over a stool, and climbed up a chair,

Grappled up a hanging washrag, and soon, he was there.

Just before his reach was the gem so sweet,

he sat there and admired his beautiful treat.

So much hard work went into its creation,

surely the chef deserves a standing ovation.

You see, Mrs. Baker the baker, as old as she is,

could out-cook anyone, like a baking wiz.

This year was special, as she knew too well,

her time was short, and everyone could tell.

Although not in pain her doctor had said,

"I'd give you till Christmas, and then you'll be dead."

As was tradition she invited her kids,

even the retarded zombie who somehow survived SIDS.

She'd spend her last days in the arms of her loved ones,

Her grandchildren, daughters and both of her sons.

She poured out her heart making sure everything was just right,

made a wonderful feast and cleaned everything in sight.

She tired her little self out 'till all was set,

then went to rest when her satisfaction was met.

Thinking fondly of the night ahead,

she closed her eyes, and drifted off in her bed.

It was when she just fell asleep that Gary had poked out,

finding food for the colony like a good little scout.

He went back home to give his family the scoop,

"It is all clear," and that dispersed the group.

A thousand feet skittered across the floors,

Jumped on tables, and opened drawers.

They scoured everything, and ate their tummies full,

knocking over dishes, staining the rugs and wool.

They broke plates and spilled over platters,

knocking over heirlooms and breaking all that matters.

They feasted like a swarm of locust.

but only on the pie was Gary focused.

The few who found his treat left all well enough alone,

he did the work, he deserved to have it all on his own.

He sat and watched the happy whiskers with a smile,

and decided his pie he would eat in just a little while.

All bellies full they retreated back to their nest,

except for Gary, who stayed behind all of the rest.

He lifted the foil and revealed to the world again,

the pie of beauty, and took a bite right there and then.

As he dug in the pie his cute little snout,

A flea or fifty left Gary and jumped out and about.

Catching the scent of marvels they headed for the pie,

but just then Gary jumped as he heard a loud cry.

Mrs. Baker the baker had awakened thirsty in the night,

crawled out of bed, and put on the slippers so snug and tight.

She slowly drifted her way through the dimly lit halls,

arrived at the kitchen, and looked first to the walls.

She yelped in surprise at the mess all around,

and Gary took off, faster than the speed of sound.

She just about tripped and accepted it as cue,

she went back to bed, what more could she do?

The very next day her family had finally arrived,

along with a phone call, and the news for which she strived.

She shared with everyone in a much happier mood,

as they all stared at the ceiling covered in food.

"My results came in and boy are they good."

Her body was fighting back just as it should.

More days she was promised in a twist of fate,

news she really needed, and not a moment too late.

After the hugs and tears of joy started to subside,

the retarded zombie found what Gary tried to hide.

Barely touched, and deemed fine to be served,

the fleas swam around, completely unobserved.

Chomping down on crunchy bugs with delight,

they all became infected with such a horrible plight.

For now they were happy, and that you can't deny,

but Gary looked solemn as they ate his Bubonic Plague Pie.

    Kudos if you like it!

I'd like to think that Gary the Lemon Tree was in the pie that Gary the mouse sought after. I actually meant to include a stanza saying so, but forgot and now it's too late, and Gary is already the name that is now only referenced to another poem by the ending author notes.

  8. It wasn't really very inspired. I wish I wrote it better, there are a few places where the flow is kind if disturbed, but since it's been so long since I've really written anything I thought I might try to pump one out here or there in hopes it will get me in the mood, and maybe actually result in an inspired poem.
  9. I was a boy once, happy and joyful.

I had many friends, and boy were we cool,

even though I thought only of life after school.

A dream it was of mine to see my ambitions full,

to protect my home, be a soldier and my country's tool.

I'd be a hero, a warrior of honor and pride!

My squad and I would tear through the enemy's side,

Never stopping, always fighting in stride.

Mercy shown to those who abide,

A soldier of good, from whom no evil may hide.

Then it happened, the day had come!

Schooling over, time to bear the emblem.

I went down and joined in the name of freedom,

Ran through training with speed you couldn't fathom,

and eagerly arrived at the field of pure bedlam.

In an instant I realized how much I was wrong.

Death was everywhere, pain and misery all night long.

The field of battle is somewhere no man should belong.

And always the first to die are the headstrong.

Here no one sings their country's song.

    Violence incomprehensible always abound,

Nowhere safe was ever to be found.

Screams of terror the only existent sound,

from writhing wounded all over the ground.

Then my turn came, and quickly I was downed.

It was supposed to be a simple routine patrol,

We thought it was safe, all was under control,

but we learned quickly everything has its toll.

Guns poking out from an obscure hole,

An ambush rang, and surviving our only goal.

Without time to figure out how or why,

I'm thrown to the ground, and hit in the thigh.

Not a second later more bullets start to fly,

then one by one, by brothers start to die.

My family's corpses forever burned in my eye.

Salvation comes far too late to matter.

With death from above, the enemy all scatter.

Soon they rushed in to save me from capture,

but for what I care it could have been the rapture.

Never again shall I hear my brother's laughter.

They sent me back home and away from that hell,

but the burning corpses I could still smell.

Waking up here or there was impossible to tell.

I feel as nothing more than a mere shell,

constantly in a battle no one may quell.

Not a day passes that I don't sit and wonder,

Why was my life spared from painful sunder?

Why did I survive that terrible blunder?

I wished instead it could have been a brother.

Now I just sit here, mourn and wither.

Now those who I fought for think me a heathen.

They stop, point and shout to me that I am the reason,

for all the worlds horrors, and every evil legion.

"Murderer, I hope you rot and die in a prison!"

Caring only to belittle the sacrifice of their servicemen.

For those who would listen to me and care,

I warn you now if that's a life you'd dare.

Seeing your men die through a bloody glare,

then living on in a demeaning chair,

it is a life that nothing can help to prepare.

Should you still want to join the dispute,

knowing the terrors that war will distribute,

and sign yourself up as a new recruit,

to chase your country's enemy in bloody pursuit,

then help me stand, so you I may salute!

    Kudos if you like it!

Be well, sleep well, fight well, live long.

  10. Ya, that's what I keep getting told! Would someone give me step by step instruction? I look through all the options available to me after I press local, and all it does is let me change map, type of game, weapons and killstreaks, and length of round. I get Game Options and such, but nothing that is specifically "Game Settings"
  11. (Xbox 360) I keep getting told by my neighbor, who now owes me money so good luck seeing him for a while to show me, and by my sister who I never see really, that you can have NPCs in local multiplayer, IE: Not xbox live. I keep searching the web and find nothing about it. My xbox live subscription expired a couple weeks ago, so I was wondering, all patched up to Sept 4th, is it possible to have NPCs in local multi? Because that'd just be swell.

  12. New Poem: Ode to Gary

    Rhyming: Yes

    Length: Rather short

It's about a lemon tree. I should probably start writing more often. I see by these time-stamps it's been a while.

EDIT: Since it hasn't been very long since my last post about a new poem, I will simply combine this post.

New Poem: Dream to be a Soldier

    Rhyming: Yes

    Length: Shortish medium

  13. You will need to read the spoiler to understand the poem. Reading it beforehand will ruin it for you afterwards.

My mother has had this lemon tree growing in a barrel for years in her front yard. It started as a sprig from a different lemon tree, which was planted in the backyard and yields good fruit. The barrel tree never really bore fruit, and when it did they amounted to tiny key-lime like replicas. After so long of watering in the barrel, there pretty much was no longer any soil. Just root. Anyways, recently she gave that tree to someone, and she named the tree Gary. She wrote an ode to it as a joke and emailed it to everyone. As a joke to her joke I wrote this. Kinda crummy, but it wasn't exactly an inspiring topic, rofl.

The light shines so bright and yellow, the winds howl and bellow,

the air is crisp and cool, ground devoid of any fiend or ghoul,

    nothing shall inhibit your growth.

Your lemons, so juicy and sweet, help stem off the day's heat.

With a simple cut of the knife I can see you've grown with such life,

To you the world swore an oath.

But, you see, no matter how juicy you may be,

your perfection did not pass to his inception,

    Poor, sad little Gary.

From branch to tree, as quick as "One, two, three,"

Gary was doomed, no flowers were bloomed,

    Forced to live just barely.

Many days had passed and you sat and asked,

"How can I stand tall with nothing but a root-ball?"

Your potential we shall never see.

Be well, sleep well, fight well, live long.

  14. You know, about 70% of this thread is me answering the same concerns and questions over and over that stopped being relevant the first time I answered. Let me waste my time how I want, nothing malicious here, don't suggest to me ways to prevent that involve breaking anything, I know I can't stop I can only deter, and before using that word against me google it's definition, let's get back on topic.

To anyone with any concerns: I'm sure they've all been answered before. READ THIS THREAD before posting your concerns. Trust me, you'll find it right off the bat, considering everyone's concern seems to be in unison with eachother.

Ugh, again I meant to make this an edit... I've got to stop typing it out in reply and pasting it in edit, I tend to forget not to click reply.

  15. Welsh, I appreciate your concern with how I waste my time, but I have a whole lot of time to waste, and it's my time to waste. Again, I am trying to make it "harder", not "hard". It's be very very hard for me to make it hard at all. And again, considering how little time it takes me to do what I need to do, it doesn't matter. I've wasted more time trying to convince people it's my time to waste than I would have if I just did it. But I need a mouse in order to mod, not a mouse pad. Doesn't work without a mouse. Not well, at least. Like moving in a render window. Freakin' impossible. I have 99% of everything else mentally done, this is the 1% left that I have to mentally do.

That's all there is to it. Let me waste my time how I want to waste my time.

  16. Read post # 69, 54, 22, 28 and the OP.

Also, you can disable the console command, or make it do something entirely different. I've already stated my intention for the console command, and I've already said that I can't make it impossible to cheat, or even hard, just "harder".

    Also, google definition:

    Deter

    1. Discourage (someone) from doing something, typically by instilling doubt or fear of the consequences.1
