  1. Wait, just read the description.

When something is not allowed, such as, let's say, uploading the DLCs, you don't try to "not break the rule" by telling people you can't do it here, but you can get it from this place or that place.

If the video is against the rules to be on the site, then do NOT tell people where to see the video. The point of the rule is that they do not want that particular content known about, learned from or seen from this site. Edit out the video part and you're golden I believe.

  2. I don't see why it would. Nothing jumps out as inappropriate, out of the norm or particularly offensive. Nothing I see breaks the rules, but I don't follow the image share section very closely. I would PM a moderator next time you have a question like this, and I would do it now just in case. When you ask if it is wrong because you previously didn't think it was but were told it might be they are much more lenient. Sometimes to a point where they simply advise you to undo it and that's it. It's not so much about "accidentally breaking a rule and being banned" as much as not doing anything obviously stupid, and if something is potentially questionable, question it to a moderator. They don't ban good people trying to be honest. They strike people who make mistakes to remind them not to, and ban those who don't make mistakes, but make grievous violations.

    Hope this helps.

  3. While I thank you for offering your opinions they have little baring. Simply reading my signature image should have been sufficient enough to make your comment void and irrelevant, but I thought the poem itself did that enough. If you look at the link labeled Request a Poem on my signature you'd also see me say very specifically I do NOT write love poems, or happy and uppity and holy crap I just remembered that a couple months ago or so I promised I'd write a love poem for someone and I never did and I always intended to but it slipped my mind and this person was really wanting it and now I feel bad and I pretty much ONLY write poetry with a morbid message pretty much always.

I do not write this with aggression, so please don't let the emotionless nature of read text get to you. I am just trying to emphasize that you could have written that a little less.... rudely... and I appreciate your suggestion. I will take it under advisement, and then promptly not do that.

Be well, sleep well, fight well, don't read my other poetry, you won't like them either.

  4. Funniest or oddest kill or result in the Arena you ever saw?

Mine is this: I bet on blue and he died, but either a poison or a magic or something killed the other guy. The announcer said I lost, but I got my winnings anyways. O.o

  5. @Stealtrecon

I am unsure what you mean by you stealing a boards idea or something. I hope you didn't misconstrue what I meant. I was talking more or so from anger from New Vegas stealing one of my mod ideas. I was made aware of it from a few sources, although I have yet to play or look at New Vegas myself as my computer can't handle it more than likely, plus I don't have the space for it. Need to either get a big flash drive and install the game on that, or empty my old IPOD and see if THAT can work. 30 gigs, and it's much more space than I currently have left. Maybe three gigs in total are available between two hard drives. One is 70 gigs, another is 110 or so. They were advertised as 100 and 150 gigs..... I know it's not a precise science, but they shouldn't be allowed to market something off by such a large percent as something else... Ugh..

(Also I haven't slept in three days and have had a persistent migraine lasting the duration, so I'm cranky and grouchy.)

So I couldn't see HOW badly they did so, and how they improved upon my concept mod. It's sad.... I was actually planning to update it, and even was inspired by someone offering to help do a certain work with icons for me and decided to instead make a completely new mod that does essentially the same and soooo much more around the time I learned this. I was both mad and honored at the same time... Now I'm just disappointed and ashamed, lol.

Anyways, was not at all implying you stole ideas or digressed the topic or anything. And besides, when it comes to situations like this, I'm sure 99% of the nexus would be glad to give the finger to anyone who would actually report your post... Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if someone like that got striked or all the moderators made extra sure that they would know that they're not being punished but are now hated. Lol.

PS: I'd simply PM the person to grow up if I were a moderator... But the entire thing is just a hypothetical.

  6. PS: Just read my last post and saw I forgot to say this:

I am very sorry for your condition, my friend. And I am both warmed and appalled at how generous you are being with your wish. And by appalled I mean appalled that I don't see such love for a community such as this more often. :) Even if you don't give two blanks about my particular suggestion, I thank you very much for the opportunity to b[censored]h about it in a place that there may be a possibility that it will change. Kudos my friend. You're an inspiration, by allowing something so petty yet wanted that most people wouldn't even think of sharing the opportunity in any way, and doing it still when it becomes much more than something petty, but a significant personal moment. It's as if all you wanted all your life was to taste a coke, and just as you pick up the last fresh bottle in existence, laced with various drugs such as Pysho and Buff-Out that are both too now extinct, you give a big gulp of that to a thirsty little boy you saw in the corner of your eye lusting for it. I wish I could kudos you a lot more than one time.

Be well, sleep well, fight well, kudos them as well if you agree.

  7. My wish is that they give credit to the modders that inspired certain functions in their new game. You KNOW they get ideas from us modders, you KNOW they implement them as if it was totally their own, and you know they do not give credit to the people who made the original content, making it possible for them to steal the ideas. All I wish they did was in the credits GIVE credit to the alias usernames of those whom inspired certain content. EVEN if they don't say -how- they inspired them, at the very least a list like "Fanbase Modder Contribution" or something and giving names is good enough. I honestly don't understand why they are afraid to do so. It's the player that they make the game for, that's who they get their money from. And it's the player that inspired many of those ideas that they use. Since they make the game for the player you would think that they would be more than willing to say "Hey, ya. We're smart, we don't take crap from our competition, we let the players tell us what they want through allowing modifications, and, depending on popularity and the realistic situations that allow them to be used in a new game as part of its vanilla, we use them. We give the player what they want, and we admit it. We give credit to those as well, because it is those players who help us get filthy rich with their ideas, and even though we do not give anything other than credit and thanks in return, we know that that's enough for the player."

Freakin hate that they steal ideas and pretend it was their own. I know very well that all mods made are considered their property, but the IDEA, the CONCEPT and ORIGINALITY is what we make our claim and stake. That is something they can NOT own. And while there is no legal way to "catch, prove or make them admit it", there is serious ethical and moral laws being broken. Now, I know that corporations are widely known for that kind of stuff, but on such a mass level in front of everyone's eyes seriously is just a giant middle finger saying "Ya, give me your money, then spend hundreds of hours on your own hard work that you will never get any compensation for and we legally own the copyrights to, and we'll steal those ideas and claim them our own with no credits or thanks given to a good part that makes us much more money by making you buy the very game you helped to develop without anything saying so. Hope you enjoy being treated the same with the new release, because we need new ideas for the next game!"

  8. What do you all think? We getting another broken featured, incomplete and annoyingly buggy construction set? Or are we getting MORE features, script capability and even more theft of ideas and originality from our dear community members that Bethesda seems to love to steal and then give absolutely no thanks to their fanbase for coming up with it at all?

    That kind of talk.

  9. Povuholo... you... You joined EXACTLY one year after 3000 people died in the World Trade Centers? 9-11-2002.... There must be some kind of childish conspiracy involving genetically engineered, cute named animals going on here...
  10. Ya, I think I'm going to go for a Hall of Torque guild instead. Of course, any nexus people are always welcomed if they care. :)

I remember the main point in getting NP was selling "custom" logos, which consisted of Google Imaging related searches, lol. I also tried my hand at hacking people my first week or so in that site many a year ago. I'd try things like Username Hannah123, password, Hannah.... It was really sad how often it worked, and awesome how much I got from it.. Till, of course, my account got frozen. Since then I just did the same-ol same-ol as everyone else and went along normally through the game with my other account, which is what 20% of all the hacked goods went to. But, karma being karma, I used a different computer to log in one day and they froze my account for "Being accessed by outside parties". I always thought that was really stupid. Banned for logging in on a different computer? How stupid are they? How many people who have computers now-a-days, especially a family which the thing is aimed at, only has ONE computer? Geez....

Now I just gamble and do the auctions. I have no more interest and haven't for a long time regarding anything in being the "bad boy". Heck, my main advertisement point in their boards is "HELP MY GAMBLING ADDICTION! BUY MY JUNK!" Awesome thing was is that someone bought a buncha-junk because they liked my ad... I was just being honest....

  11. Hello Nexus community!

If you have ever played or still do play around with Neopets.com you should join the guild I made specifically for people from the Nexus!

    http://www.neopets.com/userlookup.phtml?user=ranokoaattesnexus

The guild is Invite Only, so you should Private Message me from Neopets to ask for an invite. Just make sure to specify that you are from the Nexus.

Currently the guild is blank of coding. If anyone who is good at HTML or stylesheets and etc please do help if you can. A good design that makes sense to the Nexus will get a council position in the guild.

I personally like Neopets.. Haven't been there in years, but I always loved cornering the market on something, lol.

  12. I usually exercised my intelligence by simply thinking. Or conversing. Continually, always articulating to myself in my mind what is going on as I am thinking of the picture itself. I do read the dictionary, and Alias, it is actually rather fun. My favorite and most visited (Aside from this place) website is Dictionary.com... I LOVE the word of the day thing. I should pick up a dictionary BOOK though, lol.

And it is not just in the vocabulary terms. At first it started as this, either that or vocabulary was simply the most noticeable in the beginning, but it is my intelligence in general. Math, history, words, problem solving, pretty much everything.

I too am a bit repetitive with my poetry writing. I tend to use these following words commonly, and quite intentionally, "Glee, Dread, Dead, Horrid... few others.." But glee is repetitive for the reason of it's absolute opposite definition of the mood in which I normally write. Dread is for emphasis, horrid is for placid simplicity of a clear, unobscured mood.

Anyways, I will do more of those brain-workouts though. And the reason I realized I was getting dumber was for the fact that I DO use it, and not just let it sit. And I've noticed my inability to use it as proficiently as prior to the quagmire ailment. Sometimes, however, when the mood is right, and I am either absolutely not sober, (but not drunk. I do not slur my words even when absolutely plastered, although I do tend to articulate more, but I just do not like... thinking.. when drunk. I usually get drunk when I want the thinking to stop! Apparently, however, give me enough alcohol and I talk REEEAAALLL slow.) there are rare, very inoften and less than once a month moments when I feel my true intelligence unhindered. That's pretty much the only reason I don't get seriously depressed over this because whatever is blocking it is not destroying it, as these moments are proof, my knowledge is there, just hindered is all.

But, no matter the fact that my vocabulary isn't as it used to be, my ability for cadence is as of yet left untouched.... relatively... well.. The vocabulary thing really limits me from writing a single thing that would astound anyone anymore. I am very capable, or used to be, but you get the picture.

I'm digressing and lost my train of thought. >_< Anyways, thank you all for the kind words.

  13. [Out of Story Text] :D Graham! Not only was that brilliant but hilarious and wonderful. Keep it coming! :)

What now robot, what are your plans for the future in which...

you have so tried to prevent the VCR people of Technophobe Planet 37 to rule?! The robot paused, looking at the Man Who Said No to Everything. In a slow, articulate and careful manner. elaborating everything plainly. "No."

In a fit of rage at the denial that made no sense towards the subject at hand, and immediately threw a paperclip at him, which exploded and destroyed the Man Who Said No to Everything. Without realizing it, the robot himself melted in a fury of cuddly pandas as the paperclip he threw was actually the pin to a Cutenade, stored in the core of a different robot that has yet to be built and doesn't even exist on this planet.

    Drip... Drop.... EEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRR-SCREECH-BOOM

It started to rain. The forty thousand and 24 Comfort Inn Hotel maids all look with astonishment as they had realized they lost their job cleaning the feces of the robot's pet rock's pet seashell. It wasn't long before...

  14. Thank you, and good night my friend. I suppose it's just a matter of the individual. My brain has been losing... intelligence, I suppose... For the last 9 months. Slowly but surely I start to just get stupid. Which, unfortunately, affects my vocabulary more than anything else. I do not know what ailment I have, nor have I had it checked out, because I think it is something more mental considering the only affect is that I am dumbing down... SO when I want to write a poem that I actually care about and I am just not able to search for the words through my head I just read a bit of Gulliver's Travel by Jonathan Swift, or something by Stephen King, and slowly my vocabulary will temporarily return to a little bit of normality, however normality is not exactly normal... I've gone from someone who can talk and not have one word understood by anyone to someone who can barely even remember to use "magnificent" at anytime at all... It's a bit annoying... Lol... ANYWAYS I forget what I was talking about, and my coffee cup isn't even half empty so I'm not rereading anything.... >_<

I'd like to read some of your poetry if you have the time to link or post them.

  15. Rhyming isn't hard. I find it the easiest of all poetry to write, however, when you are on a computer that, apparently, doesn't have Microsoft Word as a permanent program rather than a timed trial of usage, and you have no coffee, it's 0400 hours and you have a headache and no more cigarettes, you can really start to miss spell check, especially when the internet is down, and you aren't sure of "Shiny" is "Shiney" or not... It's always the simple ones that are hard.... Anyways, you should read my other poems. A link in my signature gives you a link to them all. This one was just pumped out so that I could have another poem for the day.

PS: Thank you both kindly for the compliments.

  16. Creepy, crawly, walking on all eight.

    Hungry, thirsty, lusting to satiate.

Spinning, weaving, preparing next meal's fate.

    Sinking, hiding, patient in wait.

Searching, scanning, near the lighted bait.

    Flying, soaring, unsuspecting in flow.

Brightly, shiny, lighted interest starts to go.

    Finding, wondering, nearing mysterious glow.

Suddenly, instantly, trapped by lethal sow.

Slowly, surely, death bringer starts to show.

    Succulent, torment, enfold and embed.

Seeing, knowing, future hated with dread.

Fearing, fighting, black mistress once wed.

Puncture, rupture, fangs protrude neck under head.

Swelling, killing, venom stops them dead.

Sucking, gulping, till last drop of maroon.

Tasting, loving, no more hunger soon.

    Feeding, drawing, under serene moon.

    Shrieking, jarring, another caught baffoon.

Wrapped, trapped, saved for next noon.

    Kudos if you like it!

Be well, sleep well, feed well, live long.

  17. At that moment, fourteen Monkey Ninjas came by and assassinated Spock for his sweater as they loved Bananas rather than Razorblades. (In the year 1322, the Monkey Emperor had stated that Razorblades, although deliciously tasting like pennies if suckled upon for long enough, were not up to par with their religion, Cathchrismuslibuddhijews, that believed that every other religion were actually nothing more than skittles that seceded from the Rainbow Country.) But, unfortunately, when they bit into the first banana....
  18. This was the poem that inspired mine, The Gift that Passes On. I previously believed it to be a friend's of my mother, but was recently made aware she simply found it on the internet and liked it so she saved it. Nonetheless, it is something wonderful, and I believe it to be a sin to not share.

A Bridge Across Time by Darlene Stevens

    She calls to me from long ago;

    through sunlit skies; through drifts of snow;

in dancing clouds above the sea,

I call to her....and she to me.

So real was she. She laughed; she cried.

She loved; she lost. She lived... she died.

In hopes and dreams, so real was she.

She lived her life that I may be.

The blood through which my veins does flow.

The same as her's, so long ago.

So it will be. Then when I'm gone,

in a future child it will flow on.

I'll live my life, and when it's done,

I'll live again in those to come.

    For I'm a bridge from she to me;

from all that were, to those to be.

Be well, sleep well, fight well, live long.
