  1. I was hoping to use this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/38588 but idk if I can use it with an older version of both the game and F4SE. So far I havent been able to mod my game because I dont know where to even start lol. Hopefully this thread will help others like me.
  2. Yeah, haha. I might be wrong and I am open to change but I only went as far back as the 1.9.4 build because I recalled when first playing this game it was around April 2017 and that version had some of my favourite mods including but not limited to: Cannibas Commonwealth and Skimpy Clothing replacer. Upon my continual research, the internet has told me that the only mods I have to worry about are mods that rely on the script extender. It was reported to me that if I use a new build of Fallout 4, Id have to use a new build of script extender which forces me to use only new mods. So if i had a mod that didnt rely on script extender, I could use it. This is unconfirmed on me end mainly due to how long it takes to mod Fallout 4. What you told me to do worked on my version of Fallout. After installing the linked mod, I can see and choose all of the Menu options. I got through the first 2 hours(actually it was 40 minutes but still) of the game; what with making my character and all.
  3. While i still have ya, do you know if I can use newer mods or do i gotta stick with 1.9.4 version tailored mods? Also if im using an older F4SE could i use newer mods that depend on F4SE also?
  4. Thanks for your quick reply(you may have just saved my keyboard from a rage smashing)! I just installed the first linked mod via the nexus mod manager, but because im slow i wanted to make sure i understood you right. Do i download this then launch FO4 edit to change the headers?
  5. I wanted to get back into Fallout 4 despite the 300 hours I already have. So far though, I cant find ANY MODS that work with the game. Im well aware there are mods that do work with the current build, and without insulting the authors, they arent my cup of tea. For example: I would like to have very skimpy clothing with butt and boob physics. Literally no mods for this build exist like those. I have to ROLL back the game and so far NOTHING works. Ive come to a point where its: Play with lack luster mods or dont play at all. For more info on my problem check these posts out: https://www.reddit.com/r/f4se/comments/ey1y3x/rolled_back_game_crashes_before_logos_even_show/
  6. Lost all will to mod? This is your own fault for not even taking a few minutes time to familiarize yourself with a new program. Or for that matter, at least look into the state of Nexus Mod Manager. NMM is still being supported, it's STILL available for download on Nexus. You can get it from Github. "NMM" in Google has the Github link (which is still being supported) as the third link. OR! Click "Install Vortex" and SCROLL DOWN. In the time it took you to make this post, you could have done some actual research and realized that "I CAN get NMM still!" Or better yet, used that time to actually look at the help center and familiarize yourself with the program before decreeing it was unworthy of your time, and how you lost all will to mod. Christ have mercy. Didnt they announce theyd be ending support for NMM once Vortex was more polished? Im kinda on board the Vortex hate train. I tried it out. I gave it a fair run. Hated it. Saw how the fans of Vortex act. Hated it even more. Im sorry, but i used NMM for more than 2 years. Its more user and modder friendly because you can use it outright. Vortex, you have to set up separate folders and wait a few days for your issue about mods not being deployed to be solved. The how to videos are a joke and insult to people seeking help mainly because it addresses issues that are solved via following the programs built in guides.
  7. Having the same issue, and no help. For me, I have Vortex and Fallout 4 on the same drive. I also made a folder for FO4 mods on the same drive. Everything is in the green except deployment method. When i click on " fix" nothing happens. When i click on 'more' it says "Check failed" followed by what could be the problem. I have full permission over Fallout 4's files. I have full permission for Vortex's files. All three folders (Fallout 4, Vortex, Fallout 4 Mods) are on the same drive. I do have my steam folder in the compressed state, so im thinking that may have something to do with it though im not sure. I tested out a mod because the people on steam said the issue would fix itself once i ran the game with a mod. I downloaded one minor mod, which Vortex handled. The mod appeared on the plugin list, and when i tried enabling it I just got the error message "This mod was moved because it is not a valid plugin".
  8. old topic, but im having this issue as well. Just wanted to make sure im crashing not because im using a 25mb integrated graphics card but because of something else. I did nearly everything short of reinstalling the game. Would hi res replacers make my game freeze at the loading screens?
  9. http://imgur.com/emA5b1W This is my current load order. I followed every mods readme instructions. Some didnt say which load order I should use, so i only followed the load order for the ones that did. For the sexual innuendo mods, the npcs only take off their clothes with no sex animation. I dont know what to do cause i dont wanna mess up the load order and accidentally break my current game.
