  1. open CK, select save as, and give your .esp a name. Use the same name as the ba2 files. So ClothingCombo.es That will make it the active file. Now select the masters you need. If you are using items from a dlc, make sure you choose those. Save. That's about it apparently.
  2. Sorry, I forgot about this particular thread. I looked that up later for something else, and yeah, if you look at lanterns and the like, yep there is a separate thing, and copying items into nifs while doable, is a bit of a pain. (as I found out making my windmills and just adding the power line connector. yuck. Got it to work, and look right, but sheesh, it's a pain.)
  3. You could reinstall and opt out of the beta, but F4SE will probably update quickly. This was a small patch, 4.4mb just to get the Creation Club in. The team is usually pretty quick on updates for F4SE
  4. hmmm. Nope, not there anymore. How about that. QALegendaryContainer is still in the CK, but not in use by the game. qasmoke should have: DLC01 Armor Book, Consumable, GunMod, Holotapegames, Holotapes, RobotMod, Weapon chests (8 chests for DLC01) DLC04 armor, armor mods, book, consumable, holotapes, junk, weapon, weapon mod chests. (8 chests for DLC04) Armor, book, consumable, holotape games, holotapes, misc, scrap, weapon chests. (8 chests for base game) So there is no QA chest for the other DLC in the CK. It still exists in the game though. I'm going to have to add the other 16 chests somewhere in the game. sheesh. That is a lot of chests. 25 in total. I don't think I can fit them all into home plate. Plus, I made copies of the chests, rather than just placing them into home plate. Joy. Ok, treasure hunt time coming up then. I suppose I could scatter some around Sanctuary, some in Home Plate. So time to add a holotape or note about where they are. So, you're not crazy, and nope, nothing wrong with the game.
  5. You probably cannot move Preston until you complete his retake the castle quest and big guns. I tend to send him elsewhere after big guns. (usually to the castle)
  6. ok, when I switch back to windows later today, I'll double check that it is still there. They may have removed it from there, but it's still in the data files, since it still shows up in my mods. hmmm. That or something happened in your game.
  7. I think Don't Call Me Settler does that. Once you sleep in it, it is labeled as your bed. (eg: BlueBeers Bed) Settlers then leave it alone and find their own. I haven't looked at HOW it does it. (also haven't check which mod is actually doing it, but I'm pretty sure that's the one)
  8. I beat my head against the desk with it, trying to get some hats etc to work when the children mods first came out. Their heads are too big, so used studio to fix my beret, and a few other hats. Stretching them. There are some videos about using outfit studio, and yes, it does take practice and patience. Really, for just specific/strategic, um, viewing, that's the way to do it. The outfits can be saved and put in a mod after you get them to the desired peekabooness. :D
  9. Yep, some things don't use .bgsm files, and you have to point those to your own textures. This is what got me to make my own folders for the data structure. I don't want my stuff in the general folders to avoid possible conflicts, overwrites etc. Cool thing is, CK notices and uses the new folder too. (which makes finding my stuff much easier when I'm editing) :) (not all my mods use that, I just started it with the AIO and it needs some work, I'm still learning all this stuff too) :)
  10. Home Plate is my PRIVATE settlement. I store my good stuff there, legendaries, and my best power armor. No worries about settlers messing things up. Plus I can fast travel in/out of it. Otherwise, I build up the larger area settlements, and pretty much leave the smaller ones as-is. Sanctuary, Starlight, Sunshine, Abernathy, Nordhagen, Castle. All large enough to support good sized populations. At 20, I shut off the beacons. For the smaller ones, I'll let them get to a half dozen or so, then shut off the beacon. The island. I clear it once I clear the Castle, grab the workbench, and then pretty much ignore it. Starlight is a good one as a central hub for supply lines though.
  11. Vehicles: I look for the explodey ones, and shoot them from a distance, otherwise then tend to get blowed up when I'm beside them. (I don't play in survival mode, but the sentiment is the same. Those things HURT! Oh, and wait a bit after it goes boom, for the radiation to fall off)
  12. I have no Legendary chest in qasmoke. what? It's there. I know it is as I copied it for my mods. I actually copied ALL the chests into Home Plate. Nifty part: if you scrap them, all the items go into the workbench, including items that you cannot put there normally. Holotapes, magazines, notes, bobbleheads etc. Those don't show as activated until you pull them OUT of the workbench. In my mod the legendary chest is by itself near the stairs. It takes some time for it to fill up though (you can hear stuff "falling" into it. clinks, clanks, thumps etc sounds. qasmoke does have the chest, UNLESS, they changed it. I'll doublecheck later today.
  13. You can always try  lol. I'll have to do that as a separate mod to test. I don't want to break my current ones. Making the whole thing invisible, that would be easy. Making specific bits invisible, that I KNOW you can do with outfit studio. You just change what the armor covers. (makes no difference to the game, it cannot tell) eg: Silvershroud armor is a trenchcoat. Well, 2pacs version for the female is NOT a trenchcoat. A nicely revealing outfit. (and if you annoy the woman wearing it, it does come with a Katana, so, ya takes yer chances on having yer bits sliced and diced)
  14. Drove me nuts for a while too. Make texture. Make the new .bgsm file. Make the MSWP record. Edit the item to use the new MSWP which has your label. That's how I got my gin, XXX milk bottle, and lamooson red beer. I did the same thing to do the texture swaps for the various police armors. Now the booze labels are tricky. Seems they use one large texture, but only parts of it for a given liquor. (you can also just take a look inside my AIO mod and see what I did with the 3 booze bottles. gin, gargleblaster and lasmooson for your search terms)
  15. If it is classified as ARMOR, it can spawn legendary. leather, metal, synth, supermutant, combat, etc. The only one I don't believe I've seen is Power Armor, but it's easy enough to make/mod. use the coc qasmoke command and go check the legendary items chest. I also have that chest in my cache mod and exports aio mod. (in Home Plate) The one I put in home plate, you can grab everything in the chest, and next time you come back, new stuff will spawn.
  16. There's a way to do it with the textures and make things transparent. I'd have to look. Only time I get it is when I'm trying NOT to get nude items. Never actually TRIED to make them, it just happens. :D
  17. Pretty much any armor or weapon can spawn as legendary. Getting a specific combo though, not so easy.
  18. The glasses in my mods allow the HUD, and I thing armorsmith also allows you to add it to anything using the glasses slot. Takes all of 5 min to add to something specific in CK btw.
  19. load order. Last one loaded is the one that gets used for a given texture. MUCH easier than loose files overwriting each other.
  20. My cache (and AIO) mod have that for the Blueeinator. Some things cannot be turned into ash, and sometimes it skips the ash, mostly if you get a decapitation shot. I *think* there are other factors going on, since I do have the crit chance set to 100 for that weapon. (but not everything else)
  21. Take a look at the other site for this kind of thing... and more. :)
  22. Won't make any difference on the user end. Now, will NMM recognize them? No idea. LOOT? no idea. Game isn't updated yet to use them apparently either. Would be nice if Nexus does, but can always ask the MA as well. (or manually DL, and check the archive)
  23. Well, there's not a lot of foodstuff leftover. I presume people stopped using them once they could cook things. (you do get some rads from those old foods, which one would prefer to avoid) Since they use caps for money though, I'd expect any 200 year old colas would have been opened and dumped, just to get the cap. Salisbury Steak: yeah, freeze dry that, and it lasts forever, and tastes like shoe-leather. Sugar Bombs: 100% of your daily dose of sugar (and then some) won't go bad. Booze: whiskey, vodka etc: np (that should ALL have been used up. Seriously? y'all missed the booze?) 200 year old beer: pass. 200 year old wine: um, you go first. either it's really good, or it's vinegar. ;p Potato Crisps: cardboard to start with, cardboard 200 years later. Gum drops: hard sugar. although probably better off as ammo for the junk gun Bubblegum: ammo for sure. Dogfood: Dogs will eat anything. Not getting descriptive. blech. mac'n'cheese: that probably would go bad. except for the radiation. mkay. cotton candy bites: pure sugar again. Do not feed to the ferret or the cat. Dandy Boy Apples: they never go bad according to the box. okay, we'll go with that. Fancy Lad Snack Cakes: twinkies. 100% preservatives. Food Paste: no actual food was harmed in making this paste. Funnel Cake: Thats too good NOT to have survived. InstaMash: powdered potatoes. yeah, lasts forever, still tastes like crap. Pork'n'Beans: no way. mind you, would unclog the system from both ends. Slocums Buzzbites: only 1 box survived, but you craft the rest. hot coffee filling? Rad hot yes. Yum-Yum Deviled Eggs: see the food paste. :P
  24. Hmmm. so you can get it in game, just doesn't work... I wonder if it's part of the scripting. BTW, the baton is hotkey 1, gun is 2 Try again, and see if hitting the 2 switches you to the gun. (no pip-boy yet for the char) Don't forget to put some ammo in there. Oh, if you have no ammo, you cannot equip the weapon. Almost forgot about that.
