  1. I feel like I've asked this before but I can't find the post. Maybe I'm just losing my mind. But I made a spell was raises Speed by 100 for 15 seconds. But for some reason it only buffs me 77 points. None of the mods I have installed affect magic so I doubt it's that.
  2. Holy crap, it's working. Geeze... I think the problem may have been not using the Wizard option when installing Better Cities. I have no way of knowing though. Thanks for the help.
  3. Ah. I just had to delete Oblivion's "my games" folder. My bad. I'll try installing the mods again.
  4. OH MY GOD! Okay so I completely uninstalled TES4, reinstalled it, and tried doing what you asked. But now it's crashing immediately ever before the Bethesda logo appears, and the only things I have installed are the unofficial patches!
  5. I guess... I've stopped counting how many times I've been forced to reinstall this game.
  6. The one and only mod I made personally is Rosethorn Altars. All it does is put spellmaking altars in Rosethorn Hall. I don't think I modified any script. I just put a bunch of mods into one folder and had Wyre Bash install them.
  7. Ok. I reinstalled DarnifiedUI. The folder you were talking about is here now. It still crashes though.
  8. I'm in Oblivion\Data\menus right now. There is no CharGen. Theres: mainprefabslevelup_menu_DarkUIdDarN.xmllevelup_menu_DarN.xmllevelup_menu_Vanilla.xml
  9. I already tried that with LOOT. But after I ran BOSS as you asked now it crashes even faster on new game.
  10. Nope. Even with the mods off it crashes. (Verifying game cache doesn't help)
  11. Not gonna lie, there's a lot of mods. I tried running TES4Edit but nothing came up. The load order was already sorted by LOOT, too.
  12. I tried posting this elsewhere and didn't get any help. It keeps asking me to set the virtual directory to the same HD I put the mods on. I did. It refuses to work and is telling me to set it to a HD that doesn't exist.
  13. So I got the Live Another Life Alternate Start mod and chose the option: I own property in one of the holds, Proudspire Manor (Solitude). Well, whenever I try to leave my Manor the game CTDs during the loading screen. Even TES5Edit isn't sensing a problem. LOOT also isn't helping. http://i.imgur.com/O0iJshg.png

Considering how important mods are to Bethesda now, I'm surprised they didn't just extend SE's scripts themselves. I mean they must have noticed how many extremely popular mods rely on script extenders.

I can't believe how hard it is just converting it to work on a 64-bit program. Were they forced to start from scratch?

I also refuse to play without SkyUI. The vanilla interface isn't very good.

3/15 Yeah I'd call this mid-March. Assuming their ETA was accurate it should be nearly done by now. I haven't played SE at all since I've been waiting for this. I see no reason to start installing mods when the best ones depend on a script extender. I'm checking the website frequently.
  18. I attempted making a compatibility patch for these mods but my lack of experience prevented me from making progress. I hope somebody wouldn't mind doing it for me since it should be a simple operation. Basically there's a door in the house inspired by the film Howl's Moving Castle. Just like the movie you turn the knob and the door goes to a specific city. With OCR installed the door is rendered useless as it just sends you to an empty room as the towns are in the world space. The only thing that needs to be done is change the locations the door sends you to so that it puts you in the city. For reference the door drops you off in front of the Mage's Guild in all of the cities. Mage's Sky House: [LINK] Open Cities Reborn: [LINK]
  19. There was a mod that added quite a few perks. I'm looking for it for one perk in particular. It was one of those starting perks that you choose during your psych eval with Doc Mitchell in the game's start. The ones that have pros and cons, you pick two of them? Well I remember one that was represented by that grim reaper icon used for the vanilla perk "Reaper's Sprint". (I think that's what that perk is called) It let you have one perk per level instead of every other level but it gave your DT a huge debuff. I know there's a mod that gives you a perk per level with no strings attached but I kinda like the challenge of having terrible DT. Even on Very Hard the game isn't very difficult. 20. I have a bunch of mods installed but before I start rooting through the possible issues I'd like to ask what the most common sources are of instability. I get the little blue wheel (Windows 7) indicating the program has frozen. Clicking on the screen during this causes it to turn pale and a window saying the program isn't responding. It'll ask me to either kill the process or wait. Waiting results in it loading again, thankfully, but it makes loading longer than usual. For reference, I run the game via the 4GB patch's .exe application. However running from the launcher seems to have the same problem.
