  1. I would be in favor of an autoscrapper workbench being added in. Simply activate it to auto scrap all junk in your inventory, turning it into base components that you can then deposit into a workbench. Or maybe give it multiple functions and treat it like an actual crafting station. Activate it to get into the menu and you then have options of what you want to scrap. At the top would be "Scrap All" which would just scrap all junk instantly but there would also be options for all components, so like "Scrap Steel" or "Scrap Glass" which would only scrap the junk items that would yield steel or glass, respectively.
  2. I can easily see a failed vault being added to the game that, similar to the detox chair in the junkie vault, had some kind of "skill (perk) reallocation device" as part of the vault experiment.
  3. How would you even add romance options for him if he never had any lines for it? There's very likely no recorded dialogue for this which would make the sudden silence very jarring and immersion breaking.
  4. OMG yes. One of my biggest complaints with assigning settlers is that unless you the player take extra steps to identify them you can't know who's doing what unless the thing they're assigned to is very close. Just to help you out for now until someone inevitably makes a mod that does this, what I do is give anyone assigned to a defense job some kind of actual armor, at least a helmet. A real armor helmet, a batting helmet, something like that but not mining helmets or hard hats. All my people assigned to shops wear either suits or dresses, depending on gender. All of my people assigned to farming wear bandannas and anyone assigned to scavenging stations wears a hard hat or a mining helmet. With these specific clothing options for my people, when I need to assign someone to something and I ring the summoning bell and people come, I can easily see who is already assigned to a job but having a simple text identifier saying what the settler is assigned to (Corn, or Scavenging Station, or Weapons Booth, etc.) would be fantastic.
  5. So I was thinking it'd be great to be able to set up automatic lights for your settlements. To achieve this, the power relays would have a light sensor on them and when light levels drop below a specific threshold (configurable with a terminal) the relay allows power to flow through and when the light levels rise above a certain threshold, the lights turn back off. You'd need a small gap between the thresholds to keep the lights from turning on and off repeatedly during storms and such. As an example, on a scale of 1 to 100 with 100 being clear day and 1 being middle of the night, if the light level drops below 55 the lights (fed by the light sensitive relay) turn on and they turn back off when the light level rises above 60. This provides automatic timing for lights or anything else attached regardless of the cause of the darkness, whether it be a normal day/night cycle or a storm rolling through and temporarily darkening the skies. Failing that, if that's not possible, at least a relay that works on a timer so we can have automatic lights at night.
  6. While I agree that it's ridiculous for the automatic weapons to take a damage reduction solely for being automatic, there does have to be some sort of balance otherwise they'd be far too OP and there'd be no reason to ever go with any mods besides auto. A couple penalties that I can think of that could balance it out would be vastly reduced accuracy in vats and significantly increased recoil when not in vats (thus reducing your non vats accuracy).
  7. First, let me say that if I knew how to do this I'd happily do it myself but I don't know how so I can't. There are mods that add a lot of items like more beds and more lights and such to the settlement build menu but something sorely missing in my opinion is the structural items like support beams and ramps and such. I mean, minecraft physics are convenient, but they look ridiculous. I'm not asking that anyone make a mod changing how the build physics work; I imagine that would be beyond the scope of what anyone could do with a mod. I would just like to be able to place structural support beams and such so that I can make it look like the buildings aren't just floating in mid air. It would be great if they could snap to floors and roofs, but the ability to place them at all is all I ask. Though, in doing so, it would require that there be some way to place items wherever we want regardless of collision so to that end, the next part of this request. Would it be possible to add build menu modifier keys? Using the Alt, Ctrl, and Shift keys to give additional functionality to item placement so that items can be placed at any angle and can be placed wherever you want (inside the build area) regardless of if it's sticking through a ceiling or wall or half buried in the ground? Like, as an example if you hold the ctrl and shift keys at the same time while placing the item it can be placed anywhere regardless of if something is already there or not. Other examples include, holding shift while using the scroll wheel to alter the scale of the item, increasing its size to 200% or decreasing it it 50%. Holding alt while clicking the mouse buttons will rotate the item on the x axis and holding shift while clicking the mouse buttons will rotate the item on the y axis. By being able to rotate items on all three axes the player could build truly good looking settlements. Additional items I'd like to see in a build menu: Support beams Wooden planks and platforms for building raider style raised platforms and walkways that don't require blocking the ground below with support beams (like the only raised platform option included) Small platforms that attach to walls (or can just be placed there with the collision override modifier keys) so that turrets can be mounted on the walls. The little platforms at Covenant are the ones I'm talking about. I have included a screenshot. Speaking of, if we could build Covenant style walls (see the included screenshot) that'd be damned awesome. If possible, 1/4 sized versions of the floor pieces that have the supports, the concrete and the wooden supported pieces. Thank you for your consideration.
