  1. A bird monster mod would be cooler. Perhaps playable, but I'd personally like to see more bird-themed enemies besides the hagravens. Orcas... is a weird idea. I'm not going to say anything about the lore friendliness (I don't really care half the time), but I think it's just a weird choice of an anthro race to add to the game.
  2. Chocolate elves should be added here, or at least the Corean race. That would be nice.
  3. One thing I find alarming is that, when you draw the scimitar from its leather sheath, it makes the sound as well.
  4. Make the folders, or rather, use the folder the mod comes with. It always says to extract some contents to your DATA folder, which you should do (or extract them and copy them over). To save you time, I have come up with a few folders you can add to the data directory: - "textures" - "meshes" None of the other bethsoft games came with these folders either, because the games pull vanilla data from BSA archives.
  5. They are mostly mods replacing the assets in the game's BSA archives. There aren't any true plugins out yet.
  6. Possibly make them playable, since I know some folks would like to roleplay a kid as a legendary hero [of time]. A Link to videogaming's other offerings, indeed. I never use playable children mods, but I understand that perhaps making a wandering kid warrior is an interesting prospect for some folk.
  7. Be careful, because master and expert locks have a pixel-sized sweet spot! :P
  8. I always play as a woman. Just cause.
  9. Rotate the pick, then gently rotate the lock to check for the sweet spot. If you succeed, it unlocks. If you hit a snag, move the pick a little and rotate the lock again.
  10. Female Nord. Good at fighting as she is at drinking! She specialises in sword and board and is good at restoration magic.
  11. I've already sunken over 25 hours into this time vampire. Paper to write? Maybe after a few tens of hours with Skyrim. Brilliant little immersive touches such as dragon battles in hamlets with guards loosing their arrows to help fell the beast are just a small example of the breathtaking moments I've experienced in this game.
  12. Agreed, this game is the freaking bomb. My vote for best RPG thus far, tiny gripes aside.
  13. Yup, the game is over bro. To be honest, I haven't gotten to that point, so I don't know. Maybe you could bring your level back down to 14 through the console commands I guess.
  14. 2 dragon attacks on Falkreath so far, and two encounters near Fort Greymoor that ended like that. I don't know what happened, I even toggled the collision off just so I could go into the sky and hit him, but he just flew off. Coward!
  15. Hah, they did spend some time in the mojave, because they look like their immersion-breaking brethren in fallout!
  16. I like the current 2H axes and some of them look like pollaxes and bardiches already, but I suppose spears would be a cool addition (not that I'd use them, they're really only for formation fighting). And yeah, if they were going to choose a weapon type to not have, hammers should be it. They deal the most damage, but nobody freaking uses them because they are too damn slow.
  17. I'm right with ya on the mountain climbing thing. There's too many of them and it is incredibly difficult to get to a compass marker for a dungeon or feature you want (such as a dragon roost). Sometimes I don't feel like going around and trying to find another way, so I simply noclip through that crap. And while it's not all snow and mountains, there's too much snow for the snow textures to be as sloppy and ugly as they are.
  18. Yeah, my ecomeny is very, very destoried.
  19. If you have Oblivion or fallout and one of those respective mod managers, it comes with a BSA viewer which can be used to extract the files. But be warned—the files are not in any standard format, so they will act weird unless converted to something like WAV or MP3
  20. And apparently, there don't appear to be any tools you can use to convert other sound files to it. At least, not any that I have seen. If Audacity can do it, I'll look into making some music mods (none of that adding in final fantasy music nonsense, anyone can do that.)
  21. Hmm, interesting idea! If I manage to have a good crack at it when the CS comes out, I'll be sure to look into bonus kinds of food, too (such as more kinds of meats on animals and more kinds of meals you can cook!) And yeah, I agree that the meals' health recovery should be more substantial. You know how hard it is to find a stinking salt pile?! And merchants only carry about 2 or 3 of the bloody things. I have to make rounds to all the alchemy and goods stores just to cook a day's worth of random deer and rabbit kills!
  22. What? No, I wasn't trying to insult you or anything. I was just so pissed off after I popped in Fable III and it turned out to be a stinking pile of dog schist. It was not a gneiss experience for me, particularly after Fable II sort of got my hopes up. Mineral puns aside, this game and the mod community are the bee's knees, and the creation kit isn't even out yet! :D
  23. That would be nice, seeing as Khajiit and the other races you don't see much of in this game (argonians, redguards) are the most interesting. And the voice actors are amazing! A far cry from Oblivion's cat-men, which I committed genocide against in disgust.
