  1. I am trying to follow an old fo4 modding guide made in 2016 by a youtuber that really helped me mod skyrim back in the day. One of the steps involves the installing of a reshade then an ENB, however he was using reshade 2.0 instead of the 4.6 version which is basically an installer. I know how to install an ENB no problem done that a ton in skyrim but Im not sure about the reshade, in 2.0 it involved moving some files around to make it work because what I can understand they sort of conflict? I think. Anyone used an updated reshade version and could point me in the right direction? Thanks.
  2. You were right I just had to wait, however why does it take so long? I had to wait for about 40-50 seconds. With the old skyrim it only took about 10-15sec, wasn't the new version meant to make things faster?
  3. My ENB's work on the old skyrim, so I don't think it's conflicting software issue like afterburner etc.
  4. So I tried using the new enb v309 for skyrim se, but all I get when starting the game is black screen and a not responding error. When I delete the d3d11.dll file the game starts but no enb. Any help?
  5. Glad to see this gone, hopefully for good. Sadly I think we may end up seeing this same BS being pulled with fallout 4.
  6. I switched V sync off, but I the point i was making was should i be getting 30-40 with these enb install using a 2gb 680?
  7. I used afterburner for skyrim with nothing else installed, then used the ENB fps counter when I installed those.
  8. So last I put up a topic asking about if I should upgrade my 680 2GB to a 970 4GB or wait until the 970 8GB comes out. Basically i wanted to know if that extra 4GB of vram would make a difference when I running a ton of mods with ultra high resolution textures. I never really got a straight answer but I did find my self with another question, could I be doing something wrong with my mods. For those interested in the other thread regarding the VRAN please see here. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2310734-nvidia-8gb-970980s/ So the last post, as of writing this, was pointing out that I might have bad files. So I wanted to throw out some FPS numbers when running say an enb and seeing if what I get matches up with what other people get or think I should be getting. Here is a list of the things i have tested so far. Skyrim no mods and no ENB/60-120fps drops to about 60-70 when looking at cities mountains with lots of trees. Skyrim no mods and The grim and somber ENB/ 30fps mostly, drops to around 25 when looking at NPC's cities etc. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50501/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D50501%26preview%3D&pUp=1 Skyrim with no mods and Realvision ENB/40fps drops to about 35 http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30936/? Then I tested both of these ENB with EWIs High SkyrimPrefs and inis http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/59810/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D59810&pUp=1 FPS in both ENB's were the same as before. So using a 2GB 680 I lose about 30 to 100+ fps just from adding an ENB, this performance lose acceptable?
  9. Not sure if this answers my question tho.
  10. I know that, I wanna what I need to do hardware wise to get better frames. Would 4gb be enough.
  11. But I only get 15-20FPS. I have a lot of 4k/8k textures mods installed, does VRAM not make a difference here?
  12. http://www.kitguru.net/components/graphic-cards/anton-shilov/nvidia-to-reveal-geforce-gtx-970980-with-8gb-of-memory-in-november-of-december/ Says 970 as well.
  13. So I hear Nvidia are to release new a new 970 and 980 each with 8gb of vram, how useful will it be for heavy modding? I am currently using a 680 with 2gb. http://i.imgur.com/IhVclc0.png Getting my skyrim to look like this takes my FPS to about 15-20. What kind of performance would I get? Or wouldn't it make a difference?
