  1. I'd suggest making the class-specific item appear in the inventory of one of the sewer inhabitants, or in one of the sewer chests. Alternatively, a new crate on the jetty right outside the sewer might make sense.
  2. Check your antivirus is not set to scan "on file access" - if a file on the game disc is causing it problems to read, it can lock the whole game up. Of course, if this IS the problem, then you need a suitable work-around which won't leave your computer wide open for attacks.
  3. @kingtitan - Elys silent voice is the mod most people use to handle dialogue speed options - a lot of users will probably already have it installed, and it removes the need for all the silent mp3 files. It does involve using OBSE though - if you don't want your mod to require OBSE you'll need lots of dummy mp3's and make your mod considerably larger in consequence.
  4. Again, not Bethesda, but AlienSlof has gone into professional game development with an independent game studio. And I believe much of DukePatrick's archery mod has been incorporated into the Skyrim archery mechanics, so you could count that as subcontract-work-in-advance I guess.
  5. The nearest I'm aware of is one which adds extra beds for companions to various inns, but as I run companionless myself I don't have a link, sorry.
  6. Try looking for the Orc improver - there's one out there. You might also try searching for Argonian Beautification ... and the Khajiit race is available in multiple variants.
  7. Kiitan - I had the same thought ages back. This was what I did... The flat-chested bit is reasonably easy with Drake's mod - just use the AA/A cup HGEC body. You also need the AA/A cup stock clothing/armor stuff, and would need AA/A cup versions of any custom armor you use. Nipple removal would probably take a bit of texture tweaking. Creating "flat chested" variants of the other body meshes would probably be quite a bit of work though, as you'd also need to originate "flat" chest armour/clothing. If you pm me your e-mail address, I can e-mail you a "nude chest" shot of my female Argonian character "Walks on tiptoe" - I have to censor the one for Drakes forum page in case someone got stroppy. The nipples are still there of course, but don't show badly.
  8. In that case I'll stick to sending you salads with an extra-virgin olive oil dressing :) ...and I'll leave you to liase directly with Razorpony to sort the scripting out. If it's as good as the Argonian Beautification/Scripted Feet, then it'll be great - if it's "improved" then it'll be stunning.
  9. @kingtitan - does adding Elys silent voice mod solve the breakneck dialogue speed problem for you?
  10. Hi theNiceOne, Would it be possible to add an "export/import settings" to your mod, so that you could have a standard config file saved someplace, and use that rather than having to start with a savegame, and then play around with the character generation to get the character you want?
  11. Hi Razorpony, Thanks for the update and correction - somehow I'd got the HGEC body lodged in my mind instead of the Roberts female. Maybe we need to kidnap DrakeTheDragon and feed him sacrificial virgins at regular intervals to help with the coding :)
  12. There are various Main Quest delayers, so those should show up on a search on the Nexus. Not sure on SI. For the official plugins, there's SM Plugin Refurbish
  13. A possible alternative to The GIMP is paint.NET, which handles dds files perfectly. There is also a plugin for Photoshop if you are feeling rich. If you have it. 3dsMAX is useful for animating, but by then you're into professional level tools.
  14. The problem is the same as with porting any other content from earlier games, the End User License Agreement to which you agreed when you installed the game specifically prohibits taking stuff out of one game and sticking it into another. That's why you can't just use the original meshes and textures to create Morrowind using the Oblivion engine - you have to make EVERYTHING from scratch. So even if such a mod exists, it cannot be hosted here and advertising it would get you banned.
  15. A lot of houses come with no basement. You might try a look for a mod which adds a basement to the waterfront shack in the Imperial City, and steal that as your basic basement (I know there IS one, just can't find it from my smartphone).
  16. Current status I believe that Razorpony is close to an alpha test version of the Khajiit feet for a HGEC female body and (possibly) Roberts male body. Once tested, then mesh conversion to other body types is still needed, plus (ideally) integration into a master mod with Drake's Argonian alterations, so that you can install the race(s) you want with the body type(s) you want, and the correct clothing mods for the stock clothing. Quick summary of other work which has been mentioned, but is not (as yet) part of the main mod concept. There's some mention of alternate hands for Khajiits - not sure where that has taken us yet. And there's a small (very small) set of comments about Khajiit heads, where people have seen the Skyrim trailers. This MAY lead to a future expansion with an alternate head mesh. The Centaur race is separate, but as some of the techniques and discussion were very much overlapping we've welcomed the presence of da mage and Semtex and others here - and maybe we'll create a standard template for future automated race body-part-and-clothing/armour replacement mods. If you aim big, apparently (with these hard-working people) you get what you aim for - maybe even more.
  17. That makes a lot of sense from a realism point of view. I suggest that the trainees ought to belong to a faction you are part of - so unless you are part of the Fighter's Guild, you wouldn't get anyone after fighting training, etc. Maybe a noticeboard or something for the prospective trainees to post their need for training on, so you go to them rather than vice versa? Probably mucks up less of the existing AI that way.
  18. One side effect you may not have considered - you may need to have multiple forms for each ingredient, depending on which process(es) it has been through. For example, take Ginger:- It could end up as : Puréed, dried, ground, distilled, burned, concentrated, and probably several other variants I've not yet thought of, depending which items you use and in which order. Various forms could be useful, others might enhance the wrong effects from the ingredient, so some careful thought might be needed to decide how best to use/combine/modify each ingredient - with the possibility of vastly enhanced potions OR fatal ones, if you get something wrong.
  19. I like the way you think! It always seemed odd to me that you had these bits of gear, but no idea what they were doing other than "making your potions better". You might want to (optionally) make it a "recipe development" mod for alchemy, as once you've created the recipe, you could spend an AWFUL lot of screen time having to do every stage of a multi-stage brew, which makes no sense at the accelerated timescale of the game. Instead, you should be able to repeat the same recipe, but have time auto-advance as if you had spent all the time preparing everything (like it does when resting). Of course, if you want to spend the time doing the whole thing, it should be possible to disable the "use a previous recipe" bit. What effect would you expect better grade equipment to have on the potions? Finer grind with a Master-level Mortar and Pestle? Less unprocessed impurities in the ash because it burns better in a Master-level calcinator? Sadly, I'm not a modder, but I really like things which add to the realism, and this looks like it should :)
  20. If you are making your own versions of stock Morrowind items, take a look at Vvardenfell Imports. They may well already have what you are looking for there. There's also an addon with more armor at Vvardenfell Imports Add-on
  21. #2 is on its way - Razorpony, DrakeTheDragon and others are producing an alpha test for the Khajiit race (WITH) "proper" feet, which should allow any body mod to be used for that race. Drake has already managed a mod for Argonians (again, WITH 'proper' feet) - see his Argonian Beautification and Scripted Argonian Feet mods, and there should be no good reason why this cannot be expanded to the other races. You will, of course, need the correct clothing replacer for each race, but that just takes time and disc space (plus converting non-stock items if not alrerady done)
  22. If on Vista or Win7, you may have fallen foul of UAC problems. If you have no luck, try shifting the installation to c:\Games\Oblivion using Bben46's guide HERE. There's a specific chunk on moving a Steam install.
  23. It may not be the problem, but... Generally, it is recommended with Windows 7 to install games to a different place - C:\Games\The Witcher 2 would be a good choice. That way you avoid any problems with the UAC (User Account Control)
