  1. Late post I know, but I found this while google searching & wanted to add. While it was hard to learn at first, using CK is RIDICULOUSLY instrumental in helping with this. Yes, it calls for making a scene, which can easily be done with conjunction to anything else you're doing. I don't really know any other ways besides the CK to achieve NPC's talking. I do not know a method to force NPCs to say something in their idles besides just having a player next them. If you do not want to use CK, I was able to place my character right next to an npc so that they would initiate idle chat. Did the "tfc" when I was next to them in 1stP, so my character didn't show up. They would then proceed to say their idle chats from time to time a lot more often. Hope this helps PS: If you are going the CK route (highly recommend), here is a link on scenes which helps me out tremendoulsy: http://www.creationkit.com/Scene
  2. Hello! I know this is late but I'd love to reply for google search reasons, and b/c I just learned how to do this myself. If you have a character you made in-game, you can use the console command "SavePCFace" to save the customizations ("SPF" for short). Here is an example: ~console spf Andross This will save ANY character you made into your Skyrim folder. Yes, INCLUDING custom races. It will be saved as, in my case, "Andross.npc", and once in the Creation Kit, on the create new actor wizard, I will select "Import", and there will be my file. Open it, and the NPC in the preview is my character to an exact science. No items will carry over. And if this doesn't work for custom races/options, go ahead and try selecting the .esp's related to the mod in your File->Data... menu. Hope this helps Andross2000
  3. The fella is half-right player.modav healratemult is what you want. Add that mult at the end of it. At the end of it, whatever value you put will add it to the current value (ex. if it's at 40, you type 50, it will be 90). typing "getav" will probably show your stat in the negatives, under 0. Same thing happened to me, with some bug while disabling the Basic Needs mod. Simply bump it up to the default, 100. Can also do the same with "speedmult", etc etc. Hope this helps  there's a place somewhere on the UESP.net too that lists all the av's you can check.
  4. Hey Nexus, So lately I've had two specific problems that bit my gameplay, and couldn't find solutions on google, and I wanted to share the solutions I figured out. Problem #1: My Health Regeneration froze. Clear as day, my health did not regen in-combat, nor out of combat. It worked on a previous save, way-back. But this current save was nuts. Nothing in active effects. I disabled mods, tried console stuff, nothing was working. I could heal via spells, or sleep, that was it. SOLUTION: Typing "player.getav healratemult" showed my health rate multiplier was at -10. Wut. lol. So I just did "player.modav healratemult 110", which set it to 100, the normal rate (this adds the number to the current value, so -10 + 110 = 100) Problem #2: My Movement Speed was slow. Yes alas! I do have the mod which reduced my movement speed when I was in a Blizzard, but that was a while ago, and I was already normal speed at one point. Nothing in active effects. Running was kind of lame and walking was painful. Alas... SOLUTION: Hit up "player.getav speedmult". It was at a lowish 70. So typed "player.modav speedmult 30" to set it to 100. Worked wonderfully  You can also experiment any of these figures to what works best for you. What was the problem? Yes, a mod. I think it was Basic Needs mod to be specific. But disabling it didn't help. What had happened was that I was dehydrating & starving on Solstheim. Since there was hardly any compatable food/drink in the DLC for the mod, I could not rejouvinate, and disabled it. However, I think somehow the modifiers got jacked in their position or something and was left at a low, and negative multiplier. Anyway, hope this helps anyone who's google-searched these problems. Have fun all
  5. One more bump, then I guess I will have to call it quits. Any help would be incredible. I swear will bake you cookies if you can help me solve this.
  6. Still doesn't work. Mid Day it is the same as well. Still having a lot of bloody trouble with this. Thank you for the post&help though. I tried even setting everything in the .ini that had to do with shadows to 0. What should I do, just bloody reinstall the game over again?? Do you think verifying steam cache is worth a go? The only lighting mod I've ever used is Realistic Colors and Real Nights. And for the record, I didn't notice this problem until installing Dragonborn and going to Solstheim. The effect is separate from normal shadow fade-in. Good to know then. I don't have either of those mods and only noticed it on Solstheim so far, can rule mods/DLC out.
  7. One last bump, then I guess I am on my own </3
  8. Good to know I am not the only one! Very comforting. Have you any ENB settings/lighting mods you've ever messed with?
  9. I found this an issue when I killed a dragon on Solsthiem, as well. Has this happened with more than one dragon? Do you have Dragonborn activated? I had thought it possible that because Miraak is also the dragon born guy, there is a bug preventing it. There is actually a point after when you encounter Miraak for the first time, and then I fought a dragon on Solsthiem, he actually steals the soul from you. Instead of you absorbing it, it goes it him. Maybe this is the same issue you are having, in which case, I would say it sounds like a bug dealing with Miraak's absorb trigger. They worked it out for after your encounter with Miraak, but didn't work out the kinks for before. Or maybe it was intended for you not to absorb dragon souls until Miraak is dead. Maybe it was intended but IDK sounds like a bug to me.
  10. Hello! While playing Dragonborn, I had left Raven Rock to the outskirts, only to notice an annoying shaded area that surrounds my character everywhere I go. It's almost as if I have some effect on or something. I have been playing this expansion since it unlocked on steam, and it seems odd to have happened all of a sudden. I have tried removing everything in my inventory, tried messing with the .ini settings, getting fresh .ini settings, removing mods, and it still persists. Would love to know to the cause, or some theories. ANY insights would be EXTREMELY appreciative...THANK YOU! :) Here is a video of what's going on: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EEu7gfMbtPg Thanks a lot, once again.
  11. Ey yo!! The solution for the red tint posted worked for me too :) What really worked for me was looking into my Data folder, and I found that my Birds of Skyrim mod had a .ini called "BirdsofSkyrim.ini". That was odd. I looked inside it was a bunch of player save data crap. Deleted it, and the red tint is gone!! Savegame solution worked great too. Thanks for the help
