Is the regular edition Fallout 3, not the GOTY edition, compatible with most mods. I know a lot mods for older games sometimes require the dlcs and whatnot. Will I have a hard time trying to mod the regular edition?

Is there any other mod that does something remotely like the spell ring portion of Smart Cast. Or some workaround to get just that part to work.

So I just picked up Fallout NV Ultimate Edition and haven't played yet. I hoping to get some mod suggestions to spruce the graphics up before I get into it. I don't want anything that changes game play, I want to play the vanilla experience just with better graphics and performance improvements. I know there is usually a community bug fix patch for Bethesda games but I don't see one on Nexus, is there one? I also see a few crash fix mods, do I need any of those? Is there a script extender for this game? So far I'm thinking of probably installiing.. NMC texture pack Nevada Skys Weapon retexture project Character Overhaul Wasteland Clothing HiRez Maybe a light weight ENB. I'm not sure about UI mods, I guess it will depend on what I think of the default UI. Anything else essential you think I should get, feel free to share. Thanks BTW, do I have to clean the esm files or anything before modding?

Thanks GaronII, but I may have found the issue. It seems to be onetweak conflicting with enboost. STEP doesn't recommend onetweak but it does say to use the stand alone double cursor fix which onetweak includes. However STEP mentions not to use double cursor fix if using enboost so I'm thinking there is some conflict here. Or perhaps it's just onetweak itself... Anyway, I removed onetweak and the crashing is much less frequent. It still happens occasionally though. I may try the papryus tweaks but I don't think I really have that many script heavy mods.. just claralux and the weather one. But the game does crash when indoors and I'm assuming those scripts are only running when outdoors. Or maybe I should just leave well enough alone & just try to save more frequently.

Yes, I have those numbers in the log. Not sure why but I just got it to play for 2 hours with no crash. The only thing I did was disable the Skyrim HD 2k texture pack and change my Anisotropic Filtering Level from 8x to 4x in Radeon Settings. So hopefully its fixed... but will find out for sure when I play again. Thanks for helping...

Yeah, I already moved wyrmstooth... didn't really help much. I'm using mod organizer. My ini settings are in accordance with STEP recommendations.

How would I lessen the load on my GPU, would removing some texture mods help. Does the Unbound quest have to completed before enabling Helgan Reborn's esp if using Alternate Start - Live another life?

What exactly is the proper way to set up a bashed patch with DSR (or other patcher mods like FNIS or Dyndolod). in your load order. According to the Gamerpoets tutorial, it says to disable them first, but its not clear if you should disable Dual Sheath Redux.esp and Dual Sheath Redux Patch.esp or just the Dual Sheath Redux Patch.esp. But according to the STEP WIKI page it doesn't say to disable anything... it just says to run the DSR patcher after doing the bashed patch. So which is it? Can someone help me out, thanks. One other question about esp files Mod Organizer marks as dummies. Should those be left disabled when installing a bash patch?

Ok so tried this, also uninstalled steam and installed on C drive, not program files. All in all, a total pain... But I was able to play for over an hour before a ctd. If it stays like this, I can live with it. I also switched to the legendary patch instead of the individual ones, not sure if that helped.

Why has my skyrim started crashing every so often? I have the legendary edition with all the unofficial bug patches, the SKSE memory patch & ENboost. It rarely crashed previously. I recently created a new profile in Nexus Mod Manager with a few more/different mods and started a new character. It was still fine for awhile after that but now it ctd's with no error message every 10 or 15 minutes. I disabled some of the newer mods I wasn't using in the other profile but it didn't help. I also went back to that original profile and character and it's happening there too. What could be causing this? I verified my game cache in steam and re-cleaned all the esm's with tes5edit. I've tried cleaning my saves as well, no change. If I uninstall all mods and reinstall skyrim then reinstall the mods... would that help? Any body have any ideas? Please help, it's driving me nuts. Is there a mod that adds an on screen keyboard that you can use with the mouse when you have to type something? Like naming items, creating your character name or using the console. Something that you would get on an app on a smart tv for example. I have a disability and its hard to reach all the keys, I have a special setup with the buttons needed only for playing. Thanks.
