Already played with Oblivion Xp, just looking for something different. Something extra that wasnt in the vanilla version that spices up leveling, but with some degree of balance

There really arent any perk mods for Oblivion?
-
Thats true.. at the beginning of the game, but further in I dont think you can just take whatever you want, theres skill requirements you need to achieve, and taking your example -alchemy, isnt one of those you can just make 10 potions, level one handed like a maniac and take alchemy perks - it takes time. Still, what im looking for is something like that, balanced and following character skill progress but still having some type of depth in choice. Anyone knows a mod?

Hi guys, Ive played a lot of heavy modded oblivion in the past few years, and now Ive been playing (slightly) modded Skyrim. Thing is, since Skyrim will still receive a looooooot of new mods from the time when CK comes, it will take a bit more time for it to reach a point in which its fully modded and reaches the summit of EPIC GAME we are all aiming for. So I want to take up Oblivion for a bit, until this builds up for a while; thing is,after skyrim, I feel i need something more at leveling (Skyrim's perks) other than just higher stats (Oblivion Realistic Leveling), and Oblivion's perks just wont cut it. Does anyone know about something really good for this maybe like a mod that adds new perks to Oblivion or gives the existent ones some depth of choice or something like that? Would really appreciate it. Something that isnt gamebreaking like godlike powers, maybe something a little bit balanced. Thanks in Advance.

Gondor armor is a badass version of Oblivion steel armor xD

"Siege of the Imperial City, 4E 174.[28] Lord Naarifin's Aldmeri army surrounds the Imperial City. Titus II breaks through the perimeter with his main army and flees north to Skyrim to join with reinforcements under General Jonna. The Imperial City soon falls and is sacked by the invaders. The Imperial Palace is burned, White-Gold Tower is looted, and the Aldmeri commit many atrocities among the city's populace." "Battle of the Red Ring, 4E 175.[28] Titus II splits his remaining forces into three hosts that surround the occupied Imperial City. After a long, bloody battle, the Aldmeri army in Cyrodiil is utterly destroyed and the Imperial City recaptured. Lord Naarifin is hanged from the top of White-Gold Tower and kept alive for thirty-three days. Despite the resounding victory, Titus II realizes that the Empire is too exhausted to continue fighting. Titus negotiates with the Thalmor and signs the White-Gold Concordat, a treaty that gives the Thalmor free rein to stamp out the worship of Talos in Tamriel, disbands the Blades, and cedes a large part of southern Hammerfell to the Aldmeri Dominion. Critics note that the terms of the Concordat are almost identical to those of the original ultimatum presented by the Thalmor prior to the war." Thats from UESPWiki. Does it sound like a clean war to you?

LE Morrowind Style No Fast Travel & Mark/Recall spells
pikoso26 replied to marksman_sniper's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
I totally suport this.. full fast travel is game breaking. Lots of ppl say "you dont have to use it" but really, were human beings, the more you try to forbid something that is right there, the more you end up falling for it. Just revamp it in a way that you can only take carriages, and maybe some random traveling caravans along the roads, with the implementation of mark and recall. This would rock in terms of immersion in the game. The idea of levitation is also cool, but I think it should be an extremely magicka consuming spell, so it doesn´t become game breaking. -
LE Button specifcally for assassination animation
pikoso26 replied to Lunytic's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
When you deal enough damage to kill target in one hit, it will trigget the animation. Thats about it, and u need to be really close to his back. So if ur not badass enough... u wont get it lol -
This one is a must in my opinion, it was on Morrowind, and it was on Oblivion, dont see why they took it out here. Its so useful, especially when you contract diseases since most of the time ppl dont notice they got one until a few days later, then realize theyve been playing with reduced stats for days lol
-
Would love the jarl one. Would love to be a tyrant xDDD
-
Someone also mentioned in another thread something about making health, stamina and magicka upgrades at leveling give extra benefits, like extra resistance to poison/diseases (health), + mana regen % (magicka) and we already got the encumbrance thing for stamina.

Cant open those links, marks error for some reason luffi

Exactly

Hey Luffi, would love to have some updates on this project if it actually comes to life. Is there any way I can keep track other than the forums? This is a great idea, and Skyrim's engine would give a more lore-oriented feel to Oblivion's Cyrodiil. Hope it makes it far. Another thing, I see why people has started saying names like Morroskyblion and stuff like that , but really, those names are retarded lol This type of mod should be named Tamriel Alive or Tamriel Reborn, something elegant and non confusing. =P Also, wouldnt it be legal if were remaking cyrodiil 200 years later and not the exact cyrodiil from Oblivion? I mean, its like a reborn version of the region, not just a copy from the original game.

Yeah, well in real life, you could not shout somebody to death, nor could you kill a dragon, bor could you breathe fire on somebody or paralyse someone, or take a potion of waterbreathing. Still, there are reasons behind this stuff. Magical reasons in the world of skyrim. It just sounds weird that you would be able to see your own arrows flying, in the dark, and even weirder to have a spell or something so you can see your arrows at night? I mean, i dont see any practical use for that - nor lore related use - maybe arrows on fire yeah, but not so i can see the arrow, just because its cool to set someone on fire with an arrow. I mean theres just no need to see the arrow lol
-
I dont believe youre suposed to see arrows at night. In real life you probably wouldnt be able to most of the time due to poor lighting and arrow speed lol
-
Those seem great for in game underwater races. That mod/expansion would just rock my world.
-
A simple spyglass version of fallout's binoculars would suffice. No need to go into shouts and spells and stuff. Also, its more realistic that every single character created has access to a simple spyglass.
-
I miss those full steel-clad imperial soldiers in Oblivion. Steel armor in oblivion just looked cool

Alienate console players with too many numbers? Was that a joke? Because I kinda laughed lol xD I dont think its a complicated system, when I first played Morrowind, it was just plain obvious about how it all worked, it would just feels right to have attributes back, since they add depth to the entire game from every single thing affected by them. Adding health/magicka/stamina and perks every level up just doesnt feel like a deep leveling system, regarding the fact that most people will always use most of the same perks if their class is similar in gameplay, with attributes back we could actually have 2 different spellswords in 2 different saved games with different stats, and different strenghts in several situations even if their perks are the same. And the character creation from Daggerfall.. thats just what a true roleplaying experience needs. Depth and choice. This is what Skyrim lacks in character development terms.
-
That would be so funny and it would give characters a persoality depending on how you use these xD
-
An Umbriel expansion would be awesome
-
Xcept an arrow in the knee always nearly one shots everyone o.o balancing required
-
Headshots implementation would be the right thing to do. Would help to create a more tense atmosphere into the whole sniping with a bow thing.
