Just wondering if anyone could do this? The *shiiing* sound of drawing a sword in this game and many others grates on my nerves and ears. Swords don't do that when they're drawn; at least, the shouldn't. Not without making the blade dull or causing other problems like not being able to pull your sword out of your apparently metal scabbard when it inevitably gets dented. Not to mention, it's a really great way to announce "I am drawing a sword, and am now armed, and a threat, look at me!" Not something you'd really want.

No, you're not alone; on the spear part, there's a mod that does what you want for that: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/15373/? I've been souring the nexus, and found two mods that get "close, but no cigar". Everyone who makes spears seem to insist on them either being short spears, or use two-handed meshes. Thus, your spear is reduced to a bashing stick. There's a mod that turns the 1h sword forward power attack in to a lunge: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/35929/? That helps a lot with the short spears from the Heavy Armoury mod, but those are a bit small for my taste. Spears are viable with one hand until you reach 9 feet or so.

I'd love to see this as well. Kind of like in Chrono Trigger near the end where you can finally freely swap any party members in the hub area. I'd be nice to not have my Dragoon also "secretly" be my Black Knight. And my Ranger; as well as my Assassin. Maybe could also implement an alternate start quest(s). EDIT So, whilst perusing the mods for something else entirely, I stumbled across this: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/36047/? Now all we need is a mod that lets us create a dummy NPC to take control of and use ShowRaceMenu.

The game has nothing against Chronic Hero Disorder, so feel free to wander wherever, there's no penalty.

I'd like to see something like previously mentioned private rooms with 2-4 people that I know. Not MMO-sized, and I wouldn't want Bethesda to do it. They let enough bugs through. There's too many minor details to make it feasible though. Something like a character/mod import in to a dedicated folder that makes sure that everyone is using the same mods when online.

This is something I'd like to see as well. Though, back-draw should be optional... I don't want to watch my character dislocate their arms drawing their weapons. If I had any real modding, and/or animation skill, I'd give it a shot.

I would like a Celtic Leaf-Bladed sword, and a Saxon Longsword, amongst other things.
