  2. Turning 18 this September. God, can't wait for Senior year.
  3. FIRST OF ALL: I have no idea if a mod of this nature has been made, and I know that when you travel into Elsweyr and Valenwood with borders off, it's all blank land. I THINK that if you were to open Elsweyr, then it would give Oblivion players something to do in the wait for Skryim. I figure you could take on this mod in little bits -- first open up Elsweyr, then Valenwood, Black Marsh, Morrowind, Hammerfell, High Rock, and then Summerset Isle, but NOT Skyrim (you can wait for that!). By the time Summerset Isle is completed, Skyrim will be out (if all goes well and according to schedule). Another way to take this on is to have different groups working on it at a time -- one group works on Elsweyr, another works on Morrowind, etc. Just thought it'd be fun! You could get all your info from UESP and make believable quests based on the history and society of the different countries. PLEASE COMMENT

  6. I found a burnt shop in Cyrodiil called All Things Alchemical, like the one in Skingrad, with three Resist Fire potions in the middle (Falanu probably used these to save herself from the burning store); apparently, Falanu Hlaalu set up her first store on the south-eastern shore of Lake Rumare, according to UESP. Interesting.
  7. This happened to me once before I cleaned out the mods in my Data folder: I was returning from some mission in Anvil and walked into the inn, and while I was talking to Wilbur, he dropped dead. While I was talking! And he kept talking, too. When I exited the conversation, I looted his body and (I always drag bodies for fun) tried to drag him, but it did the weird melt/stretch thing, where you can grab their head and stretch it really far and their neck just stretches.
  8. What is your craziest Oblivion experience you've ever had? I.e., your craziest 'serious WTF' moment. I've had a few, but it happens in every game I play, and it is always serious WTF. I was walking into Chorrol, and I turned towards the Fighters Guild. Walking inside, the game froze; what I saw, was serious WTF. The Orc guy in the Fighter's Guild was standing at the foot of the stairs, apparently 'talking' to a Goblin... Like, seriously? Well, technically not a goblin; it was a naked Daedric body with a Daedric shield and a backwards goblin head. I seriously don't know why this happened, but it could've been the millions of mods I downloaded and had activated. Needless to say, I purged my Oblivion data files after that. Now, your serious WTF moments?
  9. I have absolutely no idea how many mods were made for Oblivion in its first year (maybe another member can answer that). I would say that it would be somewhat equal, maybe a little more Skyrim than Oblivion. I think that Skyrim mods will be, at the least, better than Oblivion's, mainly because of the new features in Skyrim. What do YOU think?
  10. -_- Hmm Good point; if someone were to even try this, I guess it wouldn't be finished by the time Skyrim came out. Not to mention the scripting stuff you mentioned... I would suggest making a game like this, but there is already Minecraft, except not quite as... complicated. Thanks ChaosApostle!
  11. I recently saw a mod on some weird foreign site that let you cook food. I tried downloading it, but it was some strange format that wasn't even compatible with Oblivion. I tried finding it elsewhere, but came up blank. Help? P.S. The mod on the site was in swedish, so I tried translating it in Google translate and it came out as 'Imperial City Cooking"
  12. I very highly doubt it, as there is only water on the northern coast of Skryim, and there wouldn't be much use for them, except for maybe special missions. If that was the case though, they would probably do the 'sleep and then we`ll be there' trick.
  13. I thought this was a great idea. Basically, you buy tracts of land from a merchant in the Imperial City, and within this tract of land you can do a large amount of things, like: Cut down trees (ax + tree = wood; clippers + sugarcane = sugar, etc.)Build things from the wood (like your house, furniture, a stable, etc.)Make things from materials (sheep = wool + loom = wool shirt + red dye + blue dye = purple wool shirt, etc.)Plant things, grow them, and plant more (like trees, flowers, etc.)Raise animals and sell them or get their materials (cow = cowhide + tanning rock + smokehouse = leather = leather armor, etc.)Gather plant and animal materials and cook (pumpkin + mortar = pumpkin puree; wheat grain + water +egg = dough; dough + pumpkin puree + fireplace = pumpkin pie etc.)Rent out your land and get money ( renting traveler = 50 gold a day, etc.)Marry someone and have them do things for you (like your wife would cook for you, farm for you, etc.)Hire a butler/servant and have them do things for you (see above)Clip plants and make dyes (clippers + rose = rose hips, rose bud; rose hips + mortar + water = red dye, etc.) And a lot more stuff I couldn't remember or think of. I experimented with this, but I only got as far as the buying land part, and making/editing the land (I can't script to save my life). Just thought I would share this with everybody, because I think if someone were successful in this, then I and others would have something to do while waiting for Skyrim. Just a suggestion, please give advice.
  14. I got the idea from this map: http://images.wikia....vionGateMap.jpg I figured that colored icons and shrine and Doomstone map markers would make places a whole lot easier to find on the map. I built on that, and thought that if the map became colored, if you highlighted roads that were on the map and not on the map, and show distinctions between regions, then it would become much easier to plot routes to places and find places as well. A complete overhaul, you could say. A larger, zoomed-in map would also be better, so you could see topographical details, and separate map markers so that you won't be on the map and encounter three map markers almost directly on top of each other.
