  1. Why is it making me comment twice? That's dumb.
  2. A freidn of mine can't afford this game so if I win I'll give it to him.
  3. My biggest problem was ads (somehow even the ones that were a simple static picture), slowing the loading of the site so much that it became unusable. I'll try out this new provider come saturday, but my hopes are not high.
  4. I will whitelist this site on my adblocker. I cannot fully turn it off, as other sites I visit contain ads that could have viruses (one site I use frequently I KNOW does this), so you'll have to be happy with a whitelisting. If an ad from Nexus causes damage to my PC, hardware or software, you will be paying for the repairs.
  5. that equals a ban Ok, no link, but a list of suggested music the downloader has to find themselves?
  6. Why isn't it possible to upgrade the most basic leather armor (the one that's basically just some straps) into the heavy duty umpire-looking stuff (heavy) that appears later in the game? As long as the appropriate perks were required to build it, I don't see how it could break the balance. This, of course, could apply to any armor. Go to the armor station with the light/medium armor piece, spend some materials, and, if your perks are correct, craft it into one step up.
  7. If there was a mod that added to or replaced the current store stalls with simple pads, like the doormat for fast travel, you could place a pad down in the concession stand in the Starlight Drive-In, or at a counter in a house in Sanctuary, so actual buildings could serve as stores, rather than just having a little cart in the street. Alternatively, create a countertop that can be placed by itself/merged with an existing counter, so it looks like the shopkeep is actually standing at the counter, ready to do business. Sadly, I'm not sure this would be possible pre-CK.
  8. There are a lot of things you can do without the tool kit, though they are mostly very simple. Retextures, replacing one object with another, etc. When the GECK comes out, the nexus is probably going to crash. Fo4's modding community is, from what I hear, several times larger than Skyrim's was on its launch.
  9. There is such an easy solution for this problem: If you make a radio mod, offer it on Nexus WITHOUT the music, and leave a link of where to GET the music from a .zip or similar that you have uploaded to another site (one that doesn't give half a s#*!, preferably). Blam. Fixed.
  10. Is it really copyright infringement if it's between two games published by the same company, and indeed, in the same franchise? And even if so, some judicious use of current in-game models and one's own renderings could create a reasonable facsimile. In fact, I doubt I'd even WANT a direct port. NV's models and physics would not lend themselves well to a port into Fo4.
  11. Lately (that last two days) all the water in my game has been very strange-looking. Whether it's a tiny puddle or the vast ocean, every drop of standing water has taken on a black color, with multicolored pixels scattered in it. Sometimes, at certain angles or distances (but not always), the water will turn bright green (not the dull flat green of the green water bug. This is a much brighter green, with some texture to it). I have looked all over the internets, and have not found anything about this specific type of water bug. Everyone's all about the green water bug or the disappearing water bug. Has anyone else experienced this, and better yet, knows how to fix it?
  12. I knew there was something wrong with Khajiits! Skyrim is the only ES title I've played, and the human-like feet just didn't sit well with me. Now I hear Khajiits used to have digigrade feet. Why they heck would they change that? Hope a good mod comes out soon.
  13. The guy. At the ENTRANCE to the weather monitoring station. NOT the basement. He just wiggles.
  14. Oh. Whoops. Still, I'm in the basement, just after talking to house, and I haven't seen cesar yet. And I still had to kill everyone, because of the bug.
