  1. it is most likely because the virus scan on your file has not completed. if you look at your mod file page in the new version of nexus mods, it will say that the file is undergoing virus scan. however, this is taking WAY longer right now than it normally would. I uploaded 2 files at about 7 pm Eastern and they are still not done being scanned now at 7 am. normally this only takes a few minutes so I don't know why it's taking so long right now, that's actually why I came to the forums right now, to see if there was any word on why the delay was so bad.

If "many" people didn't want the two main features that differentiate MO from NMM, then MO wouldn't even still be a thing, Tannin would not have been hired, and this discussion wouldn't be happening. There's no need to get your knickers twisted just because users are giving preliminary feedback that isn't 100% positive. I'm just dubious that they can achieve the same speed and functionality without using a VFS. From the likelihood of it adding an extra few seconds every time you change mod order to the fact that the time it takes to switch profiles in NMM vs MO is exponentially longer, I just don't see it as a feasible option. But I'm not going to write off the fact that the dev team might actually come through and surprise me, I'm not saying Vortex will be horrible or throwing hate, just saying at the end of the day, those features are almost always why people switch to MO in the first place, so why would anyone want to switch back without them?

Honestly, without BOTH of those features (clean data folder/drag and drop install ordering) i will never use Vortex, period. I wouldn't even bother to try it out unless I knew those features were there, no matter how pretty it looks or how many other bells and whistles are added. I would bet that many, many experienced modders will feel exactly the same way.

In response to post #50317957. #50318227 is also a reply to the same post. only thumbnails, which if your image doesn't fit the 16:9 ratio will be blackbarred to fit the 16:9 window they appear in. you can already see the new thumbnail style in search results if you want to see what it'll look like.
  5. In response to post #48447547. You can use Nexus Mod Manager but if you plan to do heavy modding I recommend Mod Organizer. The newer version of NMM will be much more like that when it comes out as Nexus hired MO's designer to help create their new software.
  6. In response to post #48428992. #48429192, #48429237, #48438187 are all replies on the same post. I already pre-ordered, and I'm well aware of the potential for awfulness (I lived and played through the demise of Origin and Westwood so I've held a grudge against EA for about 20 years now) but I'm trying not to let reviews sway me. The dude who wrote the RPS review sounds to me like he just doesn't like Bioware games, as pretty much everything he complains about is their standard fare. So yeah, it may suck, but if I played through UVIII and UIX, I'm damn well gonna play this too. Gotta at least give it a shot.
  7. In response to post #48428992. #48429192 is also a reply to the same post. i'll be busy with ME:A for a few weeks so hoping it'll be ready by the time I'm finished with that... fingers crossed!
  8. Can't wait to check out Blowing in the Wind. Still waiting for that SKSE SE version.... soon...
  9. I don't know if this is causing your problem but you have way too many versions of my mod Immersive Wastelanders installed. You have two versions of the full mod installed (1.0 & 1.1) as well as all the standalones for each character. You should only be using ONE version of the full mod OR the standalones for selected characters, but definitely not all three. And definitely check the LooksMenu Customization Compendium page and make sure you don't have anything conflicting with it, as the above poster mentioned, because it's very touchy and can often cause issues with anything that edits the same records.
  10. there's this one, which fills in the walls of the Castle with blocks that look like they are part of it... http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8680/? and then there's this one which has all kinds of castle pieces... http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9044/? maybe one of those?
  11. I downloaded "BetterBuild" on Nov 27th and it still contains this dsound.dll, FYI.
