  1. What does VR lack? A good game, with good longevity. Skyrim VR can deliver so many things that make VR amazing, great views, hand to hand combat, archery, the longevity. It's got the potential to save VR from being niche. With mods, of course. It NEEDS mods. There's no way vanilla skyrim, even in VR, will keep people's attention for long. Skyrim VR could benefit so much from the ability to port mods from normal Skyrim. And not only that, there's something else VR is missing, or has a severe lack of: Porn. VR porn will be amazing. By enabling modding in Skyrim, you'd automatically have the porn as well. VR Skyrim is a massive bundle of potential, but it really requires Bethesda to play their cards right. When their focus is set on things like making mods cost money, it seems like a slim hope indeed. I'm still positive VR will become a stable market, but whether it happens now or years from now, can well depend on singular companies like Bethesda. Just my two cents, though. :)
  2. Okay I deleted everything and downloaded BOSS installer instead, now works normally. I think it didn't like the .dll I had downloaded or it wanted some update from vredist-thingy from mickeysoft. Anyway I'm all good. *sigh*
  3. I try to run boss and I get this: http://i.imgur.com/rDCsEvM.png Then I delete BOSS, download it again and I get error "missing MSVCP120.dll" Then I download MSVCP120.dll and put it in BOSS folder, then again I try to start and now I get this: http://i.imgur.com/BJk3tcq.png Just one of those days. :pinch:
  4. How do I cap my framerate though? Do I need an ENB for it, something "external"?
  5. What's the most up-to-date way? I've read http://linearskillz.wordpress.com/2011/11/13/skyrim-pro-tips-that-help-with-mouse-control-and-physics-glitches/ ...but I'm not sure that's very current. Do Skyrim physics still go wonky if I just disable Vsync from the ini? Thaanks! P.S. Sorry not sure if right forum. :l
  6. So just forcing with gpu control? I wish to have a few more answers, I see very little discussion about this.
  7. Which do you prefer then? :geek: How bad is the ghosting in temporal AA? I'll check it out. If it's something like CRT->LCD then I won't mind.
  8. As you know, Skyrim anti-aliasing doesn't carry you very far with its 8x anti-aliasing, so you gotta get rid of those jagged edges somehow. What's your choice? There's mr haandis SMAA injector: http://mrhaandi.blogspot.fi/p/injectsmaa.html And I suppose enforcing AA from your gpu settings works to a degree. What do you think is the best way to get flawless edges?
  9. I wonder if NMM will ever be like Steam, so that you can just press a button and it updates a mod, checks if all files are there, and like that. :P
  10. Yeah I wasn't asking whether to buy them or not, I WILL buy them all, just wondering if they affect each other and as such I should play/buy them in an order. But I guess there's no need to worry about that. Thanks for the replies.
  11. I only have vanilla Skyrim. I want to get all the DLC's, but I'm not sure what they affect or how they work with one another or if there's a canon etc. etc. Should I get them all at the same time? I guess installing mods would be easier if I had them all? I've already got like +5 mods I probably have to reinstall since they have different versions for Dawnguard stuff and stuff. Thanks! :)
  12. Hello, I'm reinstalling Oblivion with mods, and I can't find my favorite butt bounce. It was a VERY distinctive up and down jiggle while running and walking. I can't give you an example, because there are barely any videos of butt bounces (which is baffling considering the amount of bbb videos with both FRONT and BACK footage) and the few there are have horrible BB's, but I can tell you that it was NOT as tiny as this (can barely see any movement here):
  13. Heh, forget about that... I can't even uninstall my old, messed up Oblivion. 5006 : 8000ffff error. Been fixing that the past 10 hours now, tried like 20 solutions. Gotta love Bethesda.
  14. Thanks alot for the detailed and fast response! ;D
  15. Hullo, I've lost my Oblivion disk, so I'm planning on buying it on Steam: this worries me, because two years or so ago, I heard alot about how people with Steam Oblivion couldn't install this or that mod. So, does anyone have experience on how Oblivion on Steam pans out? Theenx!
  16. Okay, I found out it was Claralux that caused this. I'll try and install the newest version, see if that fixes it.
  17. I totally suggested this a few months back with a big picture example. Got no replies to my suggestion. :'(
  18. I installed FXAA Post Process Injector to increase bloom and my game looked like this: http://i.imgur.com/1dtIPIA.jpg Then I uninstalled FXAA, and installed SweetFX Shader Suite to get better Anti-aliasing. At some point I noticed my game is looking horrible, and even after uninstalling SweetFX - AND after reinstalling FXAA - my game continues to look like this: http://i.imgur.com/jfgDp4A.jpg :wallbash: It's like there's some constant HDR grainy effect. You can especially spot it looking at the mountain side on the right. Halp! :(
  19. I tried removing sweetfx but it had no effect... I don't get it...
  20. It seems completely random. Sometimes I get .bmp screenshots, sometimes both .bmp and .png! What is going on?
  21. No I'm 1680x1050 :G Okay I found out the SMAA injector I linked in OP is the same as the one in SweetFX, so I suppose I'll use that.
  22. I found an SMAA injector from http://mrhaandi.blogspot.fi/p/injectsmaa.html -but I don't know if it's the one I should use. I can't find any mods on Nexus for it. I just want a teeny bit better AA. :S The normal 8x doesn't quite cut it, I'd probably be happy with 10x, dunno why 8x is max. >:(
