I use mo2 and I haven't hit the plugin limit. Before having my current issue I was having a horse glitch in my playthrough so I redownloaded and reinstalled a few mods related to horses, thought it could be unupdated patches, they're still on the same spot in my load order as they were before, and now I can't seem to lauch skyrim in my usual modded profile anymore. Lauching it vanilla is fine, but when I go for my modded profile it just pops up the usual black fullscreen for a few seconds and it just closes. Normally i'd suspect a simple missing master file, but that wouldn't make any sense in this scenario. Any clues on what could be causing this to happen?
