Time for some topic necromancy! I apologize, but I'm having this same problem and can't find a fix anywhere. Absolutely cannot progress because it crashes after Jowan kills the demon. I don't think this is a mod problem, however, because I'm not using any of the mods OP listed. It also doesn't seem to matter if I kill her legitimately or by using console codes. She dies, it goes to a loading screen, it crashes. Loading a previous save isn't helping either.

Should I take this as a no?

So it used to be that my computer couldn't handle Skyrim. I had to play on my husband's computer instead. However, I've recently gotten some upgrades and can play on my own. I tried to copy my save files from his computer over to mine, but I've run into a problem. On his computer, there were only .skse files and no .ess files. Here's a screenie of my Saves folder. Miri and Judas are two characters created on my computer, which have both file types. Athanasia and August are from my husband's computer. Even after deleting a bunch of autosave files to make room on the limited in-game list, the Athanasia and August files don't show up. Does anyone know if there's anyway I can remedy this issue or force Skyrim to load the .skse files?

First off, thank you for all the hard work you put into Nexus. It's the only place I go to download things for all my games. Without you, I would be modless. *bow* I just wanted to sound off here and ask if NMM is now the only method available for downloading? I don't have the program, which was never a problem before, but today I can't download anything for any of my usual games (DAO, DA2, ME2, Skyrim). I keep getting the message that the connection timed out.
