  1. Hello, I have been fiddling around with 3D modeling and I've been successful in creating the basic models I want but I've failed in creating textures and getting the models to work in the game. I've been using Sculpturus to create the models because blender is too complicated and everything else is too much money. The models I've been trying to make are 18th and 19th century American and European clothing styles. The pictures of my modes are attached. I just modefied some already existing skyrim models to make them look more like the clothing I wanted to create. If anyone wants these models for themselves or has any tips on what I can do please just tell me. The files are in .obj format but I can convert them into .nif format; that initself is partially where the problem lyes... when I convert them to .nif it says it's missing some mapping data and says something about "null" I realy don't know what I'm doing with this and I'm too busy with school and other things to devote time to learn it all right now... so if anyne wants the files or has an easy fix just let me know. Thanks. and I spelled century wrong in the title... :|
  2. Are there any mods that contain 18th century style armor or clothing?
  3. I strongly support this.
  4. I am now working on a mod that puts muskets in the lvl lists and replaces the armor's of the Stormcloaks and Imperials with appropriately colored conquistador styled armor. I would much prefer 18th century style armors like that of ACIII but I cannot find them and I don't have the time or resources at the moment to make them... :'(
  5. This would be the absolute coolest mod ever!!!! ...I actually collected a bunch of various, colonial/ 16-19th century style mods, from other moders, and implemented them throughout my game with the creation kit so I, myself, can play in a semi colonial style world, but it is very crude and cannot be uploaded for other users, if someone could amass all the mods that fit this outline, or just make new ones, it would be awesome!!! If you want me to list all the mods I use for this I will, just ask. :)
  6. I just go to "siege test hold" cell in the ck, delete everything there, and use that as a new world.
  7. I second this idea
  8. I have been wanting something like this for so long and have posted so many topics on it... You can get tricorn hats from the mods Immersive armors and Bobs armory... but I want so much more than just the hats... I watn a whol 18th century overhaul!!!
  9. "The ears man. The ears need to be bigger! Other than that it looks pretty good actually. Better than expected, I would enjoy seeing those rather than mammoths. The mammoths would be sweating am I right?" They wouldn't even be sweating... they'd be dead... haha
  10. I accidentally posted this twice because my computer's incompetent... please comment on the other thread
  11. Besides my former request for a mammoth retex, There are some other things that I think should be redone/added to the tropical Skyrim mod to increase the immersion. The modder did a very good job with everything he has done but, being the greedy person that I am, I want more. I think that all the guard armor should be made to fit the area. Someone could do something as simple as replace the guard armor of whiterun with the redguard outfits, or some already existing redguard armor mod, that would fit with the desert terain offered by the Tropical Skyrim mod. I think the Solitude Guards should be given Imperial armor, because the Imperials look like Romans, and Romans fit anywhere. This mod really does the trick for that: (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/10740) but it still doesn't fix everything... I don't know what armors all the guards should have, i just know that these germanic/viking armors don't fit well with the tropical feel of the mod located here: (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/33017) and not just the guard armors should be changed, but all he armor and clothing in the game can be made to fit the various areas... like a middle eastern look can be given to the people in whiterun by giving them robs and hoods, it's as simple as that... I'm not sure what to do fo the other holds but I'm sure someone will think of something... I also think that some of the architecture shold be changed, perhaps like the solitude architecture looking more roman, and the the whiterun architecture looking more Anasazi like or Persian... Stuff like that would just be pretty cool and help with the immersion of the mod... It's a big project but I know there are people out there who can do it. and other than those things I'm sure there's more that I havent thought of yet, like lions with full maines that a commenter on one of my previous threads cam up with... if has any more ideas, pleast post them, and hopefully someone with the know how and th motivaton will do soething with them... thanks!

  13. these are both good ideas that I hope someone with the know how will act on...
  14. I'm just requesting that someone with the time, skill, and motivation make a mod that replaces or retextures the Mammoths, Mastadons, whatever they're called in the game (the big hairy trunked creatures that walk around the tundra) to make them look like regular elephants (big non-hairy trunked creatures) to fit in better with the "Tropical Skyrim" mod (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/33017) because I'm pretty sure those mammoths would not survive those deserts with all that hair... It's just kind of an immersion breaker... and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person who thinks this way... if I am... all hope for humanity is lost...
  15. I am requesting that someone with the time and skill please make a mod that re-textures or replaces the models for all the buildings in Solitude to look like Ancient Roman buildings, including Roman art and Architecture into the designs, to match the Roman feel of the Imperial army and their presence in Skyrim.
  16. If someone could just recreate the uniforms from Mount & Blade, Warband: Napoleonic Wars and possibly make them replacers for the guard and soldier armors in skyrim that would be awesome and make me very very happy... I'm horribly sick and tired of semi-medieval fantasy role playing, 18th century is where it's at! and I know there are others out there who agree with me... Thanks
  17. I'm just in love with the 18th century and completely bored with semi medieval fantasy crap, everyone does it and it's really getting old... there are no rpg style games that take place in the 18th century except for fable but that doesn't count cuz it kinda sucks... I just want to run around with a musket shooting other people who also have muskets, and I want to go to town and see people wearing powdered whigs, and fancy clothes... I want to see gentlemans warefare with napoleonic or american revolution style uniforms, I want to see cannons at the seige of whitrun and solitude/windhelm, and that's pretty much it everything else in the game will fit well enough if all this other stuff is added... if you support this idea at all please show it!
  18. yeah you should deff do something with it
  19. Now that someone FINALLY put a musket in skyrim I think someon should make a mod that replaces all the guards and soldiers in skyrim with armours and clothing from the time period... like conquistador armour and napoleanic war type uniforms, while at the same time implementing the muskets into the world... Please don't get into a lore argument, I don't care a bout lore, i only care about what makes the game fun for me!
  20. so I use the ck to change the editor ID of the musket or the croosbow or do I chage something else entirely? btw my favorite mod
  21. idk if you said this or not but, will the mod be a replacer or standalone? (I would prefer replacer, just sayin) can't wait for this to be done!
  22. a mod that replaces the imperial armour with redcoat garb from the revolutionary war, and american garb for the stormcloaks, and also replaces their weapons with muskets and sabers, (there are some people working on muskets right now) and replace the catapults at the siege of whiterun with cannons, and use conquistador armor for the regular guards. that would be the best mod ever!
  23. yeah but it looks like ur doin a real good job, and I think it already looks good enough for release right now... but of-course you'd just update it again and again... so... keep up the good work!
  24. is there any version of this ready for download as of now?
