Essentially what you are saying is if you don't us a condom you will never get an STD as long as you get tested.... Not using virus protection software and not noticing or testing for an issue =/= malware free. As a professional IT I can agree to a small extent your post has validity but it doesn't mean you shouldn't use anti virus software. Being an educated user is THE BEST anti malware you could hope for, but that doesn't mean you should't at least download AVG... The average user is not well informed, even if they are a gamer. Nor are they usually well informed enough to deal with the issue when it does happen. Prevention > removal. AVG is no cure all, but its better than nothing and its even better when coupled with experience.

In response to post #8474396. #8474427 is also a reply to the same post. That's really a waste of money as the post above clearly states and as many domain owners can tell you DDoS happens. Dumping money into what would be a temporary solution to what is essentially a temporary issue is a waste of valuable contributions that could be used for realistic problems that can actually be fixed/upgraded permanently. I have been a user for a while and will say the upgrades made to the nexus in the last few years alone have been substantial and measurable and has made me personally thankful for supporter members, but don't assume that makes every opinion you have valid or informed, nor does it incline administration to work harder when you make a rude post. Fighting DDoS is like digging a hole in the river with a spade.

Its times like this that I am unable to use the mod manager because I can't log in. My first instinct is WHAAAA!!!! QQ who can I b&@*$ at because now I have to do it manually... then I remember when I had to do them all manually... So on that note, crap sucks and people who do crappy things for the sake of doing it are the worst kind of people, but thanks for the site and great features, even when something goes down its an amazing network. Hopefully things go back to normal soon.

Sorry for the super late response... crazy work schedule. Any way, yeah I have been using that and it does help a bit, I am thinking of backing up my save and re installing my game and mods.... not a fun idea but would probably take less time than restarting.

So I have been searching all over for an answer to this problem and have only come up with a temporary fix. I was hoping that maybe somebody would see this and help me fix my game without restarting my current play through 50 hours in. Basically as the title says I can not loot Daughr, Vampires, Dragons, Daedra, Falmer and probably a few other I am forgetting. Not only that but I can't talk to any of these races for quests when needed meaning I can't talk to the dragon at the throat of the world and I can't talk to Serana for Dawnguard. I have how ever found a work around on another person's thread that bypasses the problem if you resurrect your character. This only works until you reload a save however and has other side effects like disabling my perks. It has also made my teleport mod not work unless I resurrect myself first. I have tried reloading old saves and starting a new game and the problem doesn't go away. I have removed all my mods and still no go... I have pretty much done everything I can think of but a re-install, and Id really rather not restart my game, especially if it doesn't fix the problem. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

TBH I am REALLY surprised that there isn't a sale this week for the one year. Ill bet you it will go on sale soonish but probably only 50% off at best. OH! Thanksgiving sale is gonna be soon! And the Christmas sale! Edit: Imo Dawnguard isn't bad but its not great. It wasn't worth the $20 I paid. I like it, and have played through it twice now. I hope/think that the new Dragonborn DLC is gonna be killer though.

I have a little over 50 active mods, and just shy of 500 hours played. I recently realized that I don't endorse nearly enough so I have been trying really hard to go back and endorse things. For some reason I am still getting bugs on a few pages that won't let me endorse at all... Been trying to vote for and endorse Vilja since it came out and it just never lets me no matter how much I re download... But yes I belong on the Wall of Shame but I am working to get off it!

Never mind, I figured it out and it worked like a charm. If anybody was curious I just copied over my data folder and got a new copy of NVSE, deleted the old copy of NV and everything worked like a charm. Didn't have to move any game saves either. Idk if I can delete this post but if a mod wants to please do, or close it.

Hey there, sorry if I am walking a thin line about whats allowed to be talked about but I pirated Fallout:NV some time ago, I know its a lame reason but I already owned it on PS3 and I couldn't swallow another $40 for the ultimate edition until it came out on steam summer sale recently. So now that I have a legit copy, can I simply transfer my data folder from one copy to the next excluding official DLCs and get all of my mods? Or is the process more complicated then that? Would I be better off simply re downloading the mods? I understand some things like NVSE would need to be moved but just my general mods is the real question. Thanks for any help and sorry if its not kosher to talk about pirating...

Unfortunately a "best" is really hard to say, at the very least you could argue there are a few good ones that are all worth note and should be compared. IMO the top 100 list for all nexus pages are pretty spot on, there are a few great mod gems that you will have to dig for but the top 100 is a good place to start. Some of my favorite mods are. I would really love to see a new game + mod (If possible) on this game. Basically it would allow the player to reset the game back to the very start, but they would keep all of their gear and levels. Because the player is leveled I assume the difficulty will also scale or could be adjusted if needed. Personally I would also like it if it would reset spouses and owned property, maybe even specific key items like Dragon Claws or other quest dependent "trophy" items that could cause some kind of problem. Idk if it would be possible to include quests added through mods, but that would be nice too.

Basically I was wondering if there is a mod or a way to make the DLC from fallout 3 playable in NV without using the requiem of the capital wastes mod, I have a copy of fallout 3 and all of its DLC that for the life of me I can't get to work on my PC and all I really wanna do is play the DLC. Hello folks, I am currently using the Vearnlor Manor and I absolutely love it but I feel like its way under staffed. So I am wondering does anybody have a suggestion for maybe filling the house up a little bit? I am currently downloading a few new companion mods to assign to different bedrooms but I can't find anything that seems like it would work as a good butler and or maid mod. So basically I am looking for a mod to add NPCs to my house. I would like to get a few guards, a maid and a butler and maybe anything else I have yet to think of. Any suggestions would be appreciated, I have been digging through mods for a few hours.
