Hello lads' I couldnt find a Tool to correctly import skyrim Meshes into Maya 2013. I can however, open them with nifscope and save them as .obj or .dae file but it does some funny things to the Meshes. Anyone knows a more "elegant" way to do this? thanks a lot. Luke

NEW Nvidia GeForce 290.36 with changes for Skyrim!
ThatKidLuke replied to ThatKidLuke's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
The Nvidia Beta Drivers are absolutely fine in beta stage, using them for years - not a single issue. for the others: If you dont find the 290.36 beta listed, make sure you are looking in the "Beta/Legacy Driver Search" section. -
Hello Folks. There is a new Nvidia Beta Driver out. You can check out the Ambient Occlusion "before and after" comparison screenshots on the Page aswell! http://www.geforce.c...rivers-released

i think your suggestions are awesome. But still, you would find maybe most of the Mods in multiple categories. If thats not a criteria - well, way to go then! :)

Cyrodiil (partially) modelled in Skyrim :D
ThatKidLuke replied to TheReverendTholomewPlague's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Wouldnt that be way to small to represent cryodiil and Morrowind? i guess it pays tribute to the landmass connected to Skyrim or else it would be completely incorrect if there was just the open See. if i look at this Map http://tinyurl.com/7n48ht8 it seems that proportions are kinda off. -

Skyrim patch downloading right NOW (pc)
ThatKidLuke replied to SHO3LACE's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
@ Sindrie and pavy Yes that is correct. LAA is "Large Adress Awarness" wich kinda circumvaits that Skyrim is 32bit only and "makes it kinda 64bit" so u can use more than around 2,5GB RAM. -

It really bothers me that men are hitting on my male character

It's just their own thoughts which make them uncomfortable. In their mind they imagine that dudes are kissing or something. I like to imagine people walking out of the tavern backwards making sure no NPC is checking out their ass.. :D that is brillian. i laughed. -

Also, you don't know what goes on in other people's heads. The most manly man in the world might fantasize about having a gay relationship, and either not act on it, or not tell you about it. Same with women. True. And given that homosexual behavior is pretty common amongst mammals, your claim that it's not natural is, like your claims about history, patently false. Please do some research before you make statements. And yet, at the same time - if its all so normal, we wouldnt have these discussions on the Board in politics, heck - even in most countrys? i have heard that argument with the "oh so common behaviour from mammals" quite a few times. there are a few single observations within a large range of species. Please do some research before you make statements. -

@ 4dvz, it does feel akward when this happens in-game. Game companys want to be political correct aswell. You explained, that you are not questioning if homosexuality is good or bad, normal or not. There was a good argument that it has been accepted by the greece and roman culture. The truth is, there where era's and cultureal realms with no public acceptance. I dont hate towards gays or anything but with this trendy subject; people take the moral high ground if you feel uncomfortable encountering said affinity. -
Hey Folks About Skyrim: Well,... I think almost everything has been said about the game in the last 2 weeks. Almost 90h played. It says a lot about the quality of the game for me, because if you are a gamer, you are used to a certain quality level, or at least, you are looking out for it. Also, maybe the older you get, the harder it gets to immerse into a fictional World. It just feels so good to wander on the mountains at night, while the snow gets carried off the Rocks and the sweet-bitterness of being lonely is your only company... DX11: Without bringing up the Topic again, about the xbox being the Leadplattform and its port over to the PC, it was of course a Business decision not to implement DX11 "yet" for a few reasons which are obvious I guess. The majority of Gamers don't have Videocards that support DX11 etc. On the other hand, Bethesda could have made Skyrim into a DX11 Flagship and sell ATI/NVIDIA Bundles for example, but again - I don't want to sound precociously. With all its castle walls, cobblestones, rocks and so on, it's a perfect figurehead. Textures and its Mods: I do have the utmost respect for those skilled people out there putting a lot of work into Mods that re-texture parts of the game. I think that a few Textures really do look bad in the Game. There are people out there that don't look at this critical or don't feel that better Textures are necessary, but I do. That game absolutely deserves a higher quality. Now the Point is that it's a thin line between aesthetic, higher quality and a gray-green-brown mass that is too intangible for the Eye to be enjoyable. In my humble opinion, this is a problem for a lot of AAA games, aiming for realism. With that in mind, it's still a bit of a let down from Bethesda and a High-res. Texture-pack from Beth. is wishful thinking I guess. The UI: This little Post wouldn't be complete if the UI hasn't been mentioned, right? Its seems to be the biggest flaw in the Game to date. It needs to be overhauled and I was in the mood mentioning it. Thank you for reading to this point. Please excuse me if terms are oddly placed, English is not my first language. cheers

Is curse trying to fight with nexus over modding scene
ThatKidLuke replied to seweryn's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
i can only see this from a "consumer perspective", i used the curse addon-downloader for WOW and that tool worked very well, but yeah - that strategy seems a bit like shady business.
