  1. Thank you, and actually the screen name comes from surgery. I had dental surgery a long while back and found out I have a weird reaction to sleeping gas, that causes me to be incapable of sleep for days after having it. Weird I know, and it did happen again after this surgery but it's fine now. As for the game. I realized I was dedicating tens of hours of my life for MAYBE, HOPEFULLY finding the answer and saving my self the several hours of Redownloading and installing, the game and it's mods. I realized I was not infact saving anything, by trying to address this issue this way, and I just decided to finally bite the bullet. I uninstalled all my mods, then the game, re-downloaded the game entirely and reinstalled my mods. It took hours to sort every thing out, but it finally seems to resolved my problem. Thank you for all the help.
  2. I'm sorry for having disappeared for so long. It got so disheartening to deal with and was taking up so much of my time, I just couldn't deal with it for a while. I kept thinking I was going to get back to it "Tomorrow", and then never did, and before I knew it I went in for a surgery with a long recovery time, but I'm finally feeling up to getting back to trying. I understand if I'm not going to get help again, but I would like to say thanks for the attempts at help that came before. As for my progress, I've made none in getting it to work thus far. Today I deleted the core files of the game as best I could, and am re-downloading them from Steam as I write this. It will be hours before I know if it had ANY effect. EDIT. So that did not fix it, but the old status quo was restored. Now loading old enough saves results in mods loading, but any new saves made off the backs of the old files lose all mods. EDIT EDIT. OH GOD!!! I used the Plugin Restore in Voretex. That RUINED everything. Old saves lost compatibility again, and it jacked up all my characters faces.
  3. Ok. So New Data. Fallrim Tools can't open my save files to clean them(PS I don't know why I didn't think to try Resaver before I do already have it.) When I try loading any Save File I get this error: Really photobucket? Your going to be a dick like that. OK so the Error Reads: Error while reading file "save35_00000000M416V6578973_Commonwealth_012203_201912169356_23_2.fos". Invalid plugin indesx: 6 EDIT: Progress, and Also not so much! So by loading an old enough save that I had not tried to load in game since the breackage, into Resaver(I think the saves that I loaded while in the breaking mods phase, were some how corrupted in some way by loading, thus causing it to fail to import into resaver) I was able to create a new cleaner save in Resaver. However this new save is just the old buisness. It loads just fine on it's own but any new saves made from it are mod Reset.
  4. Thanks for the response. So I Had Steam Verify my install, and I was missing some 350 megabyte file. UNFORTUNATELY... Fixing that, DESTROYED EVERYTHING. My old saves, no longer are safe from being reset, so when I enter them they are now reset as well. New saves still reset on loading, and now Fallout 4 launches in only part of my screen...(Edit the screen thing was fixed by resetting my computer.) Ho man. What in the hell happened? What was that missing file? Speaking of the new things I've installed, beyond that missing file that Broke Everything. The updated version of Vortex. And a few mods... Boy I wish Vortex had a Search or Sort by install date function. Nothing too intense, mostly just some new gun mods. A character without mods wouldn't have any deleterious effects because it is just the mods that are being reset. Interestingly enough all my characters appear with shaved heads if they had non-base game hair, and their clothes will be gone, if they were wearing non-base game clothing or armor, but Vanilla clothing changed to be bodyslide clothing is left untouched, and they still have the correct body slide proportions designated to each outfit. Also the hair can just be re-applied.
  5. As the title says. All my mods are either removed or reset upon loading any new saves I made after a point. I can load old saves and have them all work, but if I save new files from those old saves, when I reload, they are gone. I load a save, it gets reset, I spawn some new versions of my old Items and put them on, I reload, and everything is reset again. I think it may have something to do with the new Vortex Update. Anyone know what's going on? Help.

  7. So a little backstory. Vortex is GARBAGE, nothing works right, and it's been such a Frustration, that I've given up on playing modded games after a month of trying to Vortex to do it's damn job right and failing to do so. But I've kept downloading mods into Vortex incase I ever decided to give it a go again, or if the stupid thing ever got fixed so it works properly. I decided to give it a try again tonight, only to discover Vortex REFUSES to DL mods without me paying for premium. Every mod I try to DL gives me this Error "You don't have permission to get download links from the API without Visiting Nexusmods.com, this is for premium users only." I AM ON NEXUS MODS . COM!!! Thats where I am finding and trying to download the mods from. God I HATE Vortex, who asked for an ugly overly complicated new Mod Manager, when the old one worked great.
  8. Thanks. The list of mods was in the Fase file for the save like you said. Though I don't seem to have that Plugins.txt in my FO4 folder, the F4se.log also had next to nothing in it.
  9. Hi. I had to delete my old install of Fo4 because it absolutely 100% refused to update to the current Patch Version and F4SE wouldn't work with it as a result. Now I need to install all my old mods from NMM into Vortex, BUT vortex refuses to work with my NMM so I need to Download all my old mods. But I don't know what they all were? When I go to load my old files I get a Short list of Mods I'm missing, but I can only see 11 mods I'm missing. Whats worse, is some of the mods aren't clear as to what they are, and some others won't get fixed due to what I assume is updated versions of the mod. As a result, I've fixed all the mods I can see, but I'm barely in the Cs out of A to Z. #1 Is there a place I can find a Complete list of Mods I'm missing? #2 Also is there a way to find out what the name of the mod some of the miscellaneous ESPs comes from? #3 and Lastly is there a way to install my old mods from the Backup of Fo4 I made? I tried, but a TON of mods don't want to work as it seems the portion of the file that lets you install it the first time has vanished. I would be grateful to anyone who has an answer to any one of my questions.

Fo4 is the only game I have in Vortex, and it still doesn't even recognize that I have a game at all. Also the Vortex message says Less then or equal to .63 >= .63 is the exact way it is shown. That is Less then or Equal to. Also what does it mean by my NMM has to be in an Un-modified location. Why can't I just set the filepath to my NMM. What is the file path it needs to find NMM? I installed this damn thing years ago, and am not sure where it want's NMM to be so it can find it? Does it just look in the Same file? Because I've tried installing Vortex to the same home file as NMM. I've tried installing it where it wants to go. I've tried installing it in the NMM file it self. Why is this a purely automated process, why can't I as a user just tell it where the damn thing is. I hate automated programs. My Fo4 won't update because steam is sure it's at the most recent update, even though I'm stuck at version 1.6.3 Just let me do it my damn self!

  12. I've been on the Nexus for years now, able to DL mods all the time. Now when I click on a mod to DL, NMM tells me that I "Must Log Into The Nexus Website". I am logged in. How else am I posting this thread right now. What is going on.
  13. The new layout SUCKS take it away. I bet you are super proud of your new layout but I got news for you. It's ugly, it's confusing, it's not even half as convenient as it used to be. It needs to go.
  14. How do I make an ESP of an NPC I've customized with console Commands, and export so I can upload them on the Nexus?
  15. We Wait, you want to export your character as ... .esp just to save? I highly highly recommend you use Looksmenu. You can easily export your character into a preset file, and later can load this preset again to your new game. This is so much easier. It's not just to save. I've been meaning to put her on the Nexus for a while, but never got off my lazy butt to do it. Now I'm faced with the prospect of losing her as is for ever, and I just want to do it both as a back up, and because I've always wanted to do this. And does Looksmenu work outside of the game, cause as I said, the game will hard crash my computer within 40 seconds of running. So if I cant do it outside the game, I just cant do it.
  16. Awesome thanks for the response... But does anyone know how to do the .esp one? Seeeeeee. What got me off my butt and finally wanting to do this is something has gone Horribly wrong with my install. It hard Crashes my computer within 40 seconds of loading in. So I want to export the character to the nexus, before I delete and re-install the game, risking losing them for ever, as I'm unsure if keeping a Save Duplicate will protect the changes I've done to the character, as I did change them Via Console Commands.
  17. Ok, so a while ago, I customized Curie to my hearts content, and now I want to post her to the Nexus... Problem is I cant figure out how to turn her into a mod. I've spent the last hour trying to look up how to export her from the game, and I've come up with nothing but a whole bunch of videos on HOW to customize characters, not how to export them. It makes me wonder how so many seeming 10 year olds can figure out how to post character presets, but I can't. Can someone please help me.
  18. The Home Sweet Home quest in Nuka world is Bugged straight to hell. This bug doesn't appear to be affecting a lot of people but for those of us who it does affect it breaks the game. Shank gives you 4 options of places to raid, but for some reason when you go to pick one to raid, or pick the peaceful option, he tells you "Sorry Boss there's no settlement for that Job". And you cant SetStage the quest! Nothing happens, it just breaks it further as you cant even talk to Shank anymore. There's a mod that lets you skip raiding your settlements, but it only works if you can accept a place to raid in the first place! Please! Someone mod a Fix for this, even if its just a mod that lets you skip the quest.
  19. Yesterday I wanted to re-scan for games and I set the destination for Fallout 4 Manually. THIS BROKE EVERYTHING!!! NMM crashed instantly and wouldn't even attempt to launch as simply clicking on it would give me the message "Nexus Mod manager is not setup to work with fallout 4", and do literally nothing else. I managed to fix that problem, but now I have a whole other mess to deal with. Nexus Mod Manager came in after the fix with none of my mods in the active state, every single one of them has the little crossed out circle infront of them. To my surprise all my mods are still active when I launch the game. However as the title says, I can neither activate, nor deactivate mods still in my library, nor can I download new ones. Literally nothing happens when I click on them. I click the little check sign a blank box flashes on screen for the briefest of moments, and then vanishes and nothing gets added to my activation que. Clicking download does even less as absolutely nothing happens at all. When I try to switch to my other mod profiles it gives me the message, "The selected profile contains missing files from mods currently installed this usually happens when a mod with a scripted installer has been installed using different options NMM will automatically retrieve your previous choices and proceed with the profile switch" Then NMM Crashes and when I relaunch it tells me that I'm on the correct mod profile, but then says the previous mod profile, no longer has any active mods, and I still can't activate my mods.
  20. Hi all Normally I don't do this, but I cant seem to find something I thought would have been a fairly obvious Mod that would have already been made. So if it does exist I was hoping someone would point me in the right direction, and if it doesn't maybe I can inspire someone to add it. I was thinking there should probably be a mod that adds digital effects to the player voice. That way they could roleplay a synth, or potentially a cyborg. It wouldn't even necessarily need to be very hard to implement. Just take the modulators already applying to the synths, or when wearing power armor and make them apply to the player all the time. What would be super cool would be a custom modulator that a player could fine tune to their liking, but I understand how much more difficult that would be. So if it exists, please show the way, if it doesn't, I hope this sounds as cool to you as it does to me.
  21. Hi I was wondering if there was a way to reclassify armor in FO4 as different armor? Say take a face mask/glasses, and make the game recognize it as a helmet. You see I'm running into this problem where I'm trying to play as my character from New Vegas, and in it my guy wore power armor and a breather without the helmet on, but all the modded breathers count as full face masks, which for some reason, aren't allowed to be worn with power armor in FO4. How ever I noticed that the boring Vanila gas masks count as helmets and are allowed to be worn with power armor, so I want to convert the NCR Ranger Gas Mask or rebel gas mask into helmets. Any help would be wonderful, I can probably do what ever I am told my self.
