Someone mentioned 3rd person might not have animations or models. I am not sure about that considering the fact that you can look down at your body and you cast shadows. It might not look good in 3rd person, but its probably still there. My guess is that 3rd person breaks all the other systems...IE looting, combat, riding, etc. And either looks really bad or is completely whacked out and you can't even do the basic interactions in the game. So they just made it difficult to create the mod bc they are worried about ppl downloading the mod and being pissed it doesn't work. Well. My guess but who knows why. What I do know is being a in that community for a long time, the idea of 3rd person was constantly brought up. A lot of people were really adamant about 3rd person NOT being an option and how immersion breaking it would be. Even if it was an option, they were loud and annoying about it. Mind you its a single player game (this is why the world has fascists...jk). So not sure if its just how they envisioned the game or what, but it would have been a nice option. having said that, its a damn well made game so its hard to get too upset. :) -
In skyrim you would drop bdisablegearedup=0 in your skyrim.ini and then when you faved a weapon, it would show on avatar. In this games ini, this exists. However, it doesn't do anything when you set it to 0. Also, it appears as there are no nodes for weapon holsters on the skeleton. So that means that without a skeleton replacement, there will be no holsters. Need the kit... So. Here we are. Need the kit to do this at this point. ;/

So I know everyone already knows about that. I am wondering 1. How would we get around the power armor issue. Do we hide all on power armor animation. That would have been one way to do it from Bethesda instead of not including it at all. I am guessing here that they didn't show sheathed weapons because of the power armor, but then again, maybe they just don't care. Another cool option would have been to remove the currently equipped weapon, and place it on the power armor in the animation, but obviously that will extend equip power armor animation and would be pretty complicated. I am hoping to find a quick fix in the ini settings like bDisableGearedUp so we can at least have it while guys work on better solutions. I am hoping it is there but just disabled, if not...Anyone knows when CK comes out? :)

Honestly I was expecting more than 1 visible weapon this time. Maybe 3 weapon slots that you can modify or favorite that then would display on character. I mean even if there isn't a holster / ready animation. Just so it doesn't pop away like gta. This isn't gta. It's an rpg game. And honestly, I am sure something will come out, but knowing the last fallout games, modding that particular part was not easy. However, Skyrim had it already available (which makes not including it here more strange). So maybe it will be figured out sooner or later. This. A few mounts, and a much bigger play space. A less clunky building methodology and Im good to go. Which means at least 2 years of development time...Need Ck asap.

So then it is confirmed? There is no weapon holster? I was hoping that you could see a visible sidearm and rifle this time around out of the box, but instead they removed it altogether. Well. -

Here is my biggest problem with this. Now that this is a paid service. My expectations of stability and compatibility have gone way up. As they should, because again, we are paying a lot of money for these mods. As valve and bethesda are probably taking a piece of this. The burden of quality is raised and they must deliver a Mod Organizing tool with version control and compatibility control built right into it. -
Hey guys, Just curious if anyone knows of a UI mod that makes the interface look like old school RPG's a la ultima, baulders gate ish.... You get the idea... Also, if I could combine the "old school" , tattered backpack look with a UI that shows my items in an icon grid...that would be amazing. Any tips or direction is always very much appreciated.

Hey all, Here is the deal. I was considering getting the texture pack, but bc of the previous higher res texture packs released on nexus, I decided to use them. My game would hang randomly while I played. So I did some looking and found out that having the esp's of the original texture pack activated in your mods list, would cause my game and mods to have some issue. I turned them off, and my game works great. I am thinking that dling this new pack might cause my stutter issue to come back. Does anyone have any thoughts/experience/etc with this issue? It is very frustrating when your game looks great and runs at high fps, but the game stutters every time you try to turn the camera or walk.

Skyrim gets choppy after hyberfil.sys disabled?

My memory usage (6gigs physical) was at 70%... My pagefil.sys is on my second hard drive NOT on my main hard drive. I have no hyberfil.sys now because I disabled it. I went into msconfig and turned off some background programs and now my memory usage is at 25-30% which allows me to play my game again... but 25% memory usage on idle seems to be a bit much doesn't it? ANy feedback helps -
Hey guys. I have no idea what is going on... I usually run my game, 150+ mods with no issues. I have a small solid state ( 40gigs which I totally regret getting now) running my operating system, and my games are on my large HDD. I have played skyrim fine for quite some time now without any issues 25+ fps everywhere I go. No lag. I disabled my hyberfil.sys in the windows settings by turning off hibernation so I could get back some of my space on my drive. Everything seemed to work fine until I launched skyrim. Now the game lags and lags.. Like it will run at 40 FPS, and then immediately drop down like its loading another area. It will lock up for several seconds over and over rendering the game unplayable... I have looked ALL over, and I can't find any link between hyberfil.sys and this game.... I have NO idea how to clean up my windows drive either bc when I use windirstat to pull up all the files... their are TONS of random little files all over the place filling up this damn thing... I have no idea how to clean it up and get it down to a size where I can reactivate the hyberfil.sys Any help or thoughts would be so greatly appreciated. Thanks.

So I set it to 1 and this worked...I just checked it before I had to run to the store anyway and it seemed to work, about to play a bit and see what happens... Problem is that I thought I mucked up my skyrim with my mods... So I unistalled. Last time I did STEP, took my time and optimized.... I got lazy and frustrated and just NMM installed all my mods... Game runs just fine, but lower frames as a result... Damnit

Update: So after uninstalling, ruining my perfect STEP mod that I carefully modded, I slapped all my mods together via NMM and just copied my old ini files back in..sloppy and I think I am paying for it in frame rate... which I don't care about any more because frankly I have become obsessed with tinkering with the games graphics eg. mods instead of actually playing the game...Anyway... I think the last patch (1.5...) really screwed with the shadow's. The grass have shadow's thing mentioned in the patchnotes are the culprit I think... Anyway to disable the shadow's on grass only??

There is definitely is a mod for shadow striping, but it doesn't work on the stripes outside. The thing is, I haven't seen this before, this just came up for whatever reason...I tried to uninstall... but that didn't help. ugh.

So I have been playing on the 12.1 catalyst drivers for a while now without any problems(12.2 causes serious problems with my radeon 5870 and textures in skyrim) I don't think this is causing the shadow striping outside though. First I noticed I was getting shadow striping on semi vertical area's in the snow. Then I noticed that it was happening on the grass in medium range to even close distances. It shows and as you get closer to the area that is shadow striping, this goes away... This has never been an issue before and I am not sure what is going on now. I am thinking of installing 12.2 to see if it works now and fixes this problem, but I am under the impression that catalyst 12.3 will fix this issue and it's not something Bethesda could fix anyway... I don't know what to make of it, but it is messing up my game and I JUST did a clean install only a few weeks back... God I don't want to do all those tweaks again. lol. I have tried to deactivate any mod that changed textures...this doesn't fix it... Thanks ahead of time for any feedback guys. I use steel plate armor and my sword, bow, and arrows just float off of my body. Anyone know of a fix. Look I love the game, I am not complaining but I would like to fix it if at all possible

Hey guys, I know we have made lots of requests for a mod that shows both weapons sheathed and an animation when unsheathing two weapons. Furthermore, I don't know about you but I would like to have both my bow and swords displayed while I am in 3rd person. Maybe these mods are really difficult to make a la oblivion. I am currently trying to figure out how to do this on the CK, but if anyone knows of a mod that does either one of these, please link. Thanks

Hey Everyone. I would really love to have a mod that shows more than 1 weapon on your avatar at a time. At the very least, I would like to see two sheathed swords/knives etc.... so the second weapon doesnt just pop out of thin air. Ideally, It would be sweet if both swords and bow could show at the same time. Does anyone know of any mods being developed or that are available that do this? Thanks guys.
