Bethesda's actually been really good about not spoiling too much. I like to think I've scoured just about every corner of the internet for pieces of Skyrim news and haven't really spoiled much of anything. Well... besides Not sure if those are spoilers anymore, but I'll hide it just in case. Would hate to see your hard work undone, Nivea :P

I swear I had literally just read a post or something that had this exact thing... but now I can't for the life of me remember where. I'll try and find it for you, but it's getting late and I may lapse into a coma beforehand.

Well it took me about 4 or 5 hours. I'm guessing that as it's nearing release, more and more people are pre-loading and clogging up the Steam servers. Be thankful you're not having to download it all after release, the servers would be even slower :P

I don't really mind any of the racials. However, I am curious... has the Argonian poison resist been completely removed? Or is it now part of the 50% disease resist?

I'm coping by layering on delusion upon delusion until I have convinced myself that I am in the land of Skyrim at this very moment.

The day one patch is of course a bug fixer. But it's also a sort of security measure to discourage pirates and people getting the game early. If people get the game before the launch date, they'll get a buggy, screwed up version.
