  1. EDIT: Found the mod. It was entitled "More Dynamic Injuries" but unfortunately the mod has been hidden by the author for reasons I do not know. It's a shame, it was a good mod.
  2. I know there's some mods that add bandages to heal injuries but there was one mod I had a long time ago but I just can not find it nor can I remember the name. The mod added injuries to the game such as broken bones, bruises, bleeding, burns, frostbite, etc. and such injuries could healed by using splints, stitches, bandages (or beer bandages for disinfection), burn salves, and warming salves on their respective injuries. I've only managed to come across one or two injury mods while scouring the nexus site for it but neither are anywhere as complex. So is this mod still around? Did it get transformed into a new mod? Or at the very least is there an injury mod out there as complex as this or close?
  3. This would be a great idea! I endorse!
  4. YES! This was exactly the one I was looking for! Thank you!
  5. I forgot what this mod was called and I had it before I did a full re-install of Skyrim. Basically it completely changes racial abilities and adds new ones too. Like Argonians take less damage from swords because of their scales, Khajiit are faster and take less damage from falls, Wood Elves deal more damage with bows and have a chance to avoid the damage of an enemy's arrow, etc... I tried looking through the Race categories, immersion categories and overhaul categories. Maybe I missed it or maybe its for some reason not around. In any case can someone please tell what mod this was? I've been looking forever today and at the very least I want to know its name!
  6. So earlier today I was playing Skyrim when a dragon comes in to attack. I chase it around and finally get it to notice me but as I'm running around fighting it there's some bandits off in the distance shooting me with arrows. Now I don't know if you've ever done this but you're pretty much out of luck playing on master when you're faced with this. You focus on the dragon, archers take you out or bring you low enough for the dragon to kill you. Focus on the bandits the dragon leaves the ground and chases you with fire/frost breath and kills you. This problem isn't just with archers though. Plenty of bandits run up to me completely ignoring the dragon sitting right in front of them to try to hack and slash me to death. I don't know about you but if I was a bandit I'd focus on killing that almighty dragon then worry about killing someone to rob. Can someone please tweak the AI so when there's a dragon attack the NPCs will focus on the dragon rather than the player? I mean the dragons, at least in my game, are even more of a threat than I am so why aren't people trying to kill it instead of me??
  7. Game worked perfectly fine for me when it updated to 1.5.14.0. Waited for SKSE and Script Dragon to update and then played the game same as before. However, once I closed my game yesterday steam downloaded something very quickly for skyrim and since, my game CTDs every time I launch the game.
  8. Skyrim shall never be complete without that. I always cheated while playing oblivion to experience everything because I hated the level system and it was too slow for me but when I had that mod I never cheated. Same is going for skyrim. I have a maxed out character with all the perks and skills but once Skyrim XP is out it's goodbye cheats!
  9. NO ONE is left-handed in Skyrim. I was extremely disappointed because when I originally heard Bethesda say they would allow you to equip stuff in BOTH hands and control each hand SEPARATELY I thought that another game had emerged where one could choose to play as a left-handed character rather than default to right. As it turns out no you can not. Shields only equip to your left and any attacks with onehanded happens using the left hand only get one swing animation and no where near as fluid as swinging the right. I know nothing of modding but I'd like to assume this could be done with the new CK and the fact that you are already able to use the left hand individually and can at least equip things to it. It'd be great if this could be implemented to some NPCs so not EVERYONE is right handed and the Player being the only one that's a lefty.
  10. Glad to see some other people remember the mod and would like to have it. Now I just hope it catches a modder's eye.
  11. I swear I asked about this mod before the CK ever came out but I can't find my thread about it so I thought I'd ask again since now the creation kit is out. Back with Oblivion someone made the mod "Oblivion XP" [ http://tes.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=15619 ] and I absolutely loved it compared to the default leveling system. For those who don't know the mod changed it so you no longer increase your skills to level up your character. Instead you gain EXP from stuff you do in the game such as killing someone/something, picking a lock, or completing quests. Then when you level up you received a certain amount of points to spend on attributes and skills so it worked pretty much like any standard RPG. If I'm not mistaken the original creator left the project and someone else took it up and uploaded "Oblivion XP Update" that fixed some problems so I don't know if the original creator will make it again. It was very customizable by letting you alter how much EXP certain tasks give you and the EXP curve in general and altering how many skill or attribute points you get to spend per level and max level you can reach. Of course this time around it will need to give points for attributes, skills, and perks. I would be very thankful if someone can create this mod for Skyrim.
  12. That's how the game works. The farther away you are, the less detail there is on objects. It was designed like that so when you're playing the game your computer isn't trying to load all these high quality textures and stuff constantly which would put a heavy demand on your PC causing you to lag.
  13. I'm using the Weapons of Third Era mod that adds it's weapons to the crafting list and Tytanis - The Ultimate Mod - Crafts - Spells - Items - MORE.
  14. My smithing perk tree is completely filled out so I have all of them including the Arcane Enchanter perk. The required materials was just 1 leather and I have 5 them yet every time I try to upgrade it I'm being told I'm missing the perk even though I'm not.
  15. I have my smithing at 100 and have all the perks in the perk tree but every time I try to upgrade my Shrouded armor (Dark Brotherhood armor) the game tells me I'm lacking the required perk to upgrade enchanted gear. >:(
  16. Too true but I haven't beaten either game yet (not that I really need to for skyrim). I shall beat Skyward Sword THEN make my decision!
  17. I've played both games and I own both. They are two good games that's for sure but there's no way I'm letting an Elder Scrolls game NOT win over other games! :verymad: EDIT: I'm torn actually after clicking the link. I must vote for Skyrim but the Legend of Zelda series has been my favorite since a kid. I CAN'T CHOOSE!
  18. I'm not a number. I'm Stan. Sorry your post made me think of that commercial. But back to seriousness a lot of clans in MMORPG's are sadly like that. There are a few good ones here and there but there aren't as much of them as they used to be.
  19. I wanted to clear my inventory but none of the shop owners had the money to buy my stuff anymore. Dropped all my extra weapons in the street. A child returned my daedric battle axe and 1 guard told me to not drop weapons around town because it's dangerous. Shortly after telling the guard w/e and not paying her bribe, two men fought over my orcish sword  I was always waiting to see people fight over a sword like I read in the skyrim info thread before the release
  20. This is exactly what I always heard a "dumbed down" game was. I always heard it being about gameplay not the graphics. I kind of assumed "dumbed down" meant it had a lot of hand holding. Don't know what OP was talking about with the whole graphics issue but he and everyone else shouldn't be complaining about games being aimed at and dumbed down for console players. That's where the majority of the companies' profits and fan base will be at. I guarantee that Bethesda's fanbase is huge compared to us PC fans. At midnight release of the game me, my friend and 2 others were the only ones who came in for a PC copy of Skyrim. The other 20 or so were all for console copies. Lets not sit around here and be blaming the consoles for dumbing down our games, even if it were to be right, since the company likely wouldn't be as popular as it is and able to make the huge profit to spend on a later edition of the game without the console gamers.
  21. This is really horrible. Is there a way to revert the patch? EDIT: fixed my "permission" issue
  22. Step 1. Open console Step 2. Type tgm
  23. I would much enjoy an experience mod like the Oblivion XP mod found here http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15619 but for Skyrim. I don't care much for the default leveling system of raising your skill levels to gain exp for overall character level. I feel it's pointless for me to kill some of the minor things like wolves and other wildlife and lose my arrows in the process if I'm not gaining much by it. I like the system killing things and gaining exp from anything I kill and then spending points to raise my skills and stats (health, magicka, stamina). Though I'd like to still 'look to the stars' to choose my perks.
  24. What setting do you have it on? I have an ATI 5850 and an intel core2 quad with 8GB of ram and can run skyrim on high with no problems. Though running ultra is horribly laggy for me.
  25. I had this problem too. I use an ATI/AMD graphics card. If your card is one of those open your catalyst control center and under Gaming>3D application settings see if your Anti-Aliasing mode is on adaptive multisample AA. if it is bump it up to super multisample AA if your computer can handle or is switch it down to multisample AA if you can't handle super. If you're using an Nvidia card then I don't know what to tell you.
