Nexus Mods Profile

  1. I did the same thing. With CBBE blocked you actually get good content on the front page. Better posters, a nice stand alone long coat, better eyes, etc..... real mods.
  2. Whoa, hey there. Mature content is filtered by default for all new users. You have to enable "Adult" content. And I would say that anyone familiar with either Skyrim or past Fallout games already know about the 'adult' mods from constant YouTube exposure. If you're a gamer, you know about it. Ask anyone in general what the first thing that comes to their mind is when you say "Skyrim Mod" and they will say Nudity. (or actually list specifics) Its entirely unreasonable to compare Nexus to a porn theater. Considering there are websites that ONLY provide adult content for Fallout and Skyrim. Exactly right Totalmeltdown, it is crazy to compare a porn theater to Nexus... because at a porn theater I am there to see porn not mods. And I go to the Nexus to see mods not porn, however most people that have adult content allowed do not expect close up shots of vaginas on the front page. People are merely expressing they thought it was over the top, and the Nexus has provided some ways to alleviate the issue.
  3. I was stating turning off adult content was not the only or best way of removing certain content and that there is a more detailed way. Thus the explanation of were to find said options.
  4. People that recommend turning off adult content have missed the point. For example, I want mature mods, but I do not want vulgar mods like pierced vagina hood version 3.0 with high resolution textures and bouncy vagina lips that realistically move when you run. Some nude or realistic mods may be great, and some are vulgar and way over the top.... and some are presented poorly like the "innies" mod. To be more selective about what you see, click your name at the top right of the screen on Nexus. Select "block content" and check the boxes that you find offensive. You can do that and still leave mature content on, it is one workable solution.
  5. Turning off adult content does hide them, atleast it does for me. Blocking authors could also work, but you still have to see the content first to block the author.
  6. Something like admins need to OK what pictures go on the front page. So you CAN have pictures of vaginas in your mods, but those pictures aren't the ones on the front page. That'd be fine. Some sort of filter, y'know? Or make people do it themselves. Select the pictures to display for your mods NOTE: Using pictures of close up or uncensored genitalia for your mod icon will result in removal or suspension of your mod from the system People now censor the pictures. Bonus points for creatively placed bottle caps. There's enough there to know it's boobs and vagina, but at least it's not so in-your-faceI mean, if there was a censorship rule, I'd find myself drawn to the mods with the most hilarious censored images at that point. Carefully placed objects ("Is that a baseball bat or are you just happy to-- oh, you are happy.") and innuendo all over the shop. It'd be glorious. And of course, once you CLICK the mod, the actual images are there to see. (And we all know kids bypass age filters by lying. I know I did it when I was young enough to need to.) I agree. I posted on another thread the idea of not allowing the main picture to be adult oriented and if you click the mod a popup will show stating it is adult and to only continue if you are 18 or over. It would be simple to implement.
  7. There is already a scrap dead things mod. There are also a lot of HR textures, and I'm pretty sure there is a fairly new survival mod. You must not be looking carefully enough. Most additional armors and weapons will need to wait for CK, though you should already know that. If you don't like the magnitude of adult content on Nexus you could always just go to other mod sources like Bethesda's own site or Steam Workshop. Except they basically suck because they try to over control something that should be allowed to thrive openly like Nexus does. The mods you mention are there, but some are not in a very workable form. For example, to have to use console commands for a mod to work is a work around. Some of the ways to scrap bodies and items causes issues with items disappearing that you want to stay. Many of the HR texture mods are not complete. I am sure in time these issues will be fixed with the proper modding tools. But back on topic.... mature mods. If I ran the nexus I would just have more tags like "over 18" or "sexual content" and these mods would not be allowed on the featured page, or control the content and make the creators of the mod put up non adult pictures for showcasing on the featured page. They can have adult oriented pictures, but I think those should be visible only if you open the page of the mod. Once you click the mod there should be a popup saying mature content only continue if over 18. I am approaching this from the point of view of a parent who uses these mods and has kids in the house or even as an admin of the site. Really, the popup when you click the mod stating "the content is adult" along with not allowing such vulgar or mature images on the featured or front page would solve these issues.
  8. For those who say it has always been like this.... no it has not. These mods have been there, but not like it is now in FO4.... where EVERY featured mod on the front page is tits and vagina.... and where the pictures on the front page are closeups of vaginas. To be honest, I would imagine it has gotten so over the top that the admins at Nexus have begun taking measures to protect themselves. Kids come to these sites, and some of these mods are basically porn.
  9. I have adult content turned on from back when I downloaded Skyrim mods. The body models were great, the realism of some of the body mods was great. However I have to agree with the OP, it just seems out of hand with Fallout4. I know these adult mods have a place, but that is all you see now. The top five featured mods are ALL tits, skimpy outfits, and ass. I am glad I do not depend on a video game to meet my sexual needs. Anyways, I hope a stream of useful mods are on the way... Corpse removal, more armors, more weapons, high resolution and detail textures, ENBs, realism and survival based stuff.
  10. This is a good question. Do we remove all those things after sResourceDataDirsFinal= ?
  11. The mining helmet has a cool light, it would be great if the light on the combat helm worked. Also flashlights on weapons would be awesome.
  12. The mining helmet has a cool light you can use instead of the pipboy light. The Combat Helmet has a lens on the side, but it produces no light... can someone please fix that and make it light up? Sorry about typo in topic.
  13. From my experience playing Fallout 4 (over 130 hours) I think settlements need tons of work. The first things that need to happen in my opinion... ... defenses should be able to protect your base if raided. Currently you can have hundreds of turrets and if the settlement gets raided, the raid is 100% successful. You have to physically go to the settlement for it to survive. ... after a raid there should be a cool down where that base is safe (if you cleared out the enemy) for a certain amount of time. Two of my bases have massive defense, guards, turrets, walls, one is surrounded by water on three sides, and they get raided every day. I have to go defend them every time. This really sucks because I want to go do other missions. ... the ability for armor and weapons the people at the settlement have to matter. ... if they fix my first point, people at settlement should be able to auto loot raiders and gear up. So next time you visit... you see people wearing armor from bandits.
  14. In response to post #24673389. #24673869, #24673949, #24674134, #24674659, #24674689, #24674789 are all replies on the same post. Actions speak louder than words. Taking part in Valve's actions shows WAY WAY WAY more to me than him typing words. Actions ALWAYS speak louder than words.
