  1. Thank you, Ghosu. Have a kudos point and Happy New Years. ^_^
  2. I am on the fence about getting Skyrim. After watching some Youtube videos, I found that my biggest personal qualm with this game came from the abysmally slow attack speed that I saw with two handed weapons. I have a good deal of experience modding Fallout 3, and New Vegas, so I know my way around using the GECK to change weapon stats. I'm hoping that the Skyrim Creation Kit will enable you to do the same. I have two questions for you Skyrim veterans to help me decide on whether or not I should get this game before the Steam Holiday sale ends. 1. Does the Skyrim Creation Kit allow you to adjust two handed weapon speeds? (I'm hoping to make a two handed lightsaber perform and behave like it would in the movies) 2. Is the Skyrim Creation Kit fairly close in interface to the GECK? Thanks for any input you guys can give me.
  3. Ok, well this is why I asked. Thanks for telling me. For the record, I didn't know it was removed from Nexus for legal reasons. It said hidden by author, so I assumed that meant the modder himself did it, not the people in charge.
  4. Is there any rule against using screenshots from this mod for uploading images? It's a New Vegas mod, but I don't want to upload screenshots that would violate Nexus policy. The policy seems a little vague on this one since RFCW was on Nexus for a while, and is hidden by the author. I just don't want people to wonder why I'm uploading images that seem to come from FO3, when it's actually from a New Vegas mod. If anyone knows the answer please advise. Thank you.
  5. If you're talking about the funky dark brown patch around the groin and hips then it actually is an archive invalidation issue. Go to your FOMM, open Tools, and if Archive Invalidation is already checked, then uncheck it. Close FOMM, reopen it, go to tools, and re-check Archive Invalidation. That should fix your problem. I had the same issue when I verified the integrity of my cache, through steam. I didn't think it was archive invalidation, either, since I had already checked it before. It may not be necessary to close Fomm before reactivating Archive Invalidation, but I did just to make sure that it registered.
  6. I'm getting an odd graphical glitch at the corner of my character's eyebrows. It's like there's a spot of extra hair just below the very ends of her brows, by the outer/upper corner of her eyes. I've tried reinstalling but the glitch remains. Does anyone know what causes this? I tried making a character with just the default Moonshadow face and her eyebrows are even glitchier than when I modified her. Can anyone suggest a fix? I should also mention that I'm using Synx's retexture of the Moonshadow Race.
  7. Someone really needs to make Caesar's Palace in this game. I'm talking about the actual Caesar's Palace, not referring to the douche in charge of the Legion. I know it'd be a ton of work and blah blah blah, but that would be awesome. Yes, of course it would make a natural home to the Caesar in the game, but w/e. Caesar's will always be my favorite real-life casino so here's hoping that someone will rise to the call.
  8. "To add your own image got to the images tab at the top of the new vegas nexus page and select "add an image" you can upload one one from there. You could then post the image url anywhere you wanted to from there." Thank you very much. I've been wondering about this for a while.
  9. I'm not sure if this qualifies for technical support, but I wasn't sure where else to post this. I'd like to know how to post a screenshot, either in the comments section of a mod, or in the general screenshots section for Nexus New Vegas. Could someone give me a tip on how to do this? Your help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  10. "The trigger mesh needs to be a separate object, to start with, then it needs to be attached to the trigger node. Easiest and fastest way to do that, in my opinion, is importing (or opening) the weapon in Blender or max (whatever you're using) and doing any modifications necessary. Then, simply re-export the model. Don't expect something awesome, though, if I remember right, in some anims, the trigger isn't animated at all and in others it's badly animated (it rotates slightly sideways). " Ok, thank you for your reply. I didn't think it would be an easy job, but still one I'm trying to attempt. I apologize for taking so long to thank you. I wasn't sure anyone would respond, and I'm grateful for your two cents.
  11. I've ported over some of my favorite guns from Fallout 3, but I've noticed that the trigger isn't animated during the firing sequence. Looking around in Nifskope, I see that guns ported over by other people have a separate Trigger node. I would like to add one to a weapon that doesn't have it. Can someone give me an idea on how to do this? I apologize but I'm learning Nifskope from the ground up, so please use layman's terms, if possible. It would be much appreciated.
  12. Thanks very much for your help. I am new to nifskope, but this helps immensely. :)
  13. I just started porting some of my favorite Fallout 3 mods over to New Vegas. One problem I've been having is that the guns I bring over are often poorly aligned for iron sight usage. Can someone please point me in the right direction of a tutorial on how to address this issue? The pistol I've ported is too low, and the view is not aligned with the iron sights. Thank you for your time.
  14. Is it just me, or is anyone else bothered by the way the hands of the player characters never seem to fit most of the pistols of this game? When viewed in third person, there is almost always some kind of issue where the finger is either not on the trigger, or clipping through the trigger guard of the pistols. The fit seems a little better with male characters, but still far from perfect. I just started playing New Vegas and noticed this issue right away with the 9mm pistol, the weathered 10mm pistol, and the .357 revolver.
  15. I was watching Cowboy Bebop when I had the same thought. I really hope someone does come out with this mod. It's a cool gun.
