Odd. NMM deleted all my mods. If I hit a "wipe everything" button in NMM, I am unaware of it. One second there they were, the next, poof! Gone! This was the main reason I switched to Vortex! So far Vortex is staying true to me.

It does look like a great mod, but I wanted something that would extend beyond my party to include any NPCs (friendlies) inside my range. This mod doesn't appear to do that. If spells like these can stun, damage, or kill enemies in an area, I don't know why an area heal spell couldn't heal non-party members standing nearby? A good example for use would be inside the small battle area at the Redcliffe Siege. My mage will run around to solo-heal Murdock, Thomas, even Lloyd (heheh), with her group heal spell reserved for my party members. It's a challenge and I've only saved everyone once. That's all the knights with Ser Perth, the unnamed Redcliffe soldiers, the three drunks from Lloyd's, as well as, Berwick, Dwyn & his thugs (if you recruit them all), thus earning the helmet Bann Teagan gives you if all survive. I must have played through that scenario 100 times and never realized that saving everyone and receiving a special reward was even an option. I thought I was doing good just saving Murdock & Thomas! It got me to wondering what else I might be missing out on by not saving villagers, townspeople, and wanderers all along the way? And those Caravan quests! Seriously? It's near impossible to save all those people! Especially in the one where three people stand on the left side of the field and three on the right side with darkspawn throwing firebombs all over the place! I'm not even sure an area heal spell would help there at all! I'm happy if I can leave one or two on each side still standing! Anyway, just thought I'd ask.

Is it possible to have an area heal spell? Like Group Heal but more along the lines of Mass Paralyze or Earthquake? It could heal all within its radius including NPCs. I usually pause the game and see what NPCs need healing (especially in Redcliffe!), but it can get overwhelming. Redcliffe and the Caravan side quests are especially challenging, but there are a few other places that it would help. I try to save everyone I can, I'm a sucker for trying to rescue people in this game. I suppose I should just resign myself to accepting collateral damage, but I thought it worth asking if such a spell is even possible?

Anomalies, Opportunites, and "glitches"?
Faythnu replied to Faythnu's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Mod Ideas
I suppose. Just thinking out loud. It's kind of like when I started a Dwarf Commoner recently, as I'm trying to escape from what's-his-name's jail, my dwarf says "my warden sense is tingling" just before we are attacked. That struck me odd. Not only am I not a Warden, but I haven't even met Duncan yet. But as you say, odd things happen. Chances are one of my mods caused that to happen, but I am unwilling to remove them all to find out. It's ok. -
Oddities? Curiosities? Opportunities?

I see what you mean, I did not read it that way. Interesting. Thanks for clarifying that for me. Thanks for responding. -
Anomalies, Opportunites, and "glitches"?
Faythnu replied to Faythnu's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Mod Ideas
Ok. Here's another one. The Warden needs to save the Circle. The Sloth demon sends us all into the Fade. In Wynne's dream she stands looking at the lifeless bodies of three mages. Overcome with grief she says, "I shall bury their bones and scatter their ashes". Now, something is wrong here. Maybe she's talking in generalities based on the personal preferences of each mage? The elf, of course, would wish to be buried. Any Ferelden would wish to be cremated. Ok, that makes sense. But bones? There are no bones unless she plans on de-fleshing the bodies. Wouldn't it have been more fitting to say "I shall bury their bodies or scatter their ashes? Yeah, yeah, I know, I'm over-thinking this, but I can't help but wonder about it. -
Circle Tower - Cullen mod idea?
Faythnu replied to Faythnu's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Mod Ideas
I wish there was a way to entice Cullen into a romantic episode. Something along the lines of the Dairren one-night-stand episode. Yeah, I'm a naughty girl, I admit it. The kiss Cullen mod is awesome, don't get me wrong! But that little kiss is so, I don't know, well, let's just say, it needs pursuing! It's like only eating one potato chip, ya know? I'd like Cullen to remember my Mage for more than a little smootch in the back room? -
I posted this in "Discussions" but then got to thinking that maybe modders might be interested in this as well? I don't know. Maybe I'm wrong, you tell me, but here's my post from the other DAO section. If I get any responses to either post I'll know which section I should have put this in? :) As I play through the game for the umpteeth time, it occurred to me that there are some strange things as well as bizarre instances now and then that raise certain questions? For example, when Arl Eamon has recovered and the discussions turn to a plan of action, our Arl states he will send out the word against "Loghain and the King." But there is no King. There's a Queen, Loghain is just the regent, at least right then. So, what King is he talking about? We aren't anywhere near the Landsmeet to determine a King. I can't find any text fix that addresses that. Another example. I'm a Grey Warden, right? Grey Wardens have the power of conscription during a blight. So why can't I conscript Jowan away from the Arl? He doesn't have to join my party. I could assign him a mission to get rid of him. Like recruiting more Wardens or finding other Wardens in Ferelden, or maybe finding out how the joining ritual works, as in how to create the joining potion, since Alistair admits he doesn't know the recipe. Basically, anything to save Jowan (from execution or certain death at the hands of the Circle) but get rid of him at the same time! Maybe this could be unique to a Circle Mage option if the Circle Mage sided with Jowan (friendship) to begin with? I may add more to this list as I play on, now that I'm actually looking for this stuff. Maybe you've found other things as well?

Everyone in the tower knows Cullen is in love with your mage. And there's a mod that lets you have a private moment with him after you complete your Harrowing (have it-love it!). But Cullen is also one of the Templars standing by to kill you if you fail your trial in the Fade. So, I was wondering, would it be difficult to add a small cut to show a concerned (maybe a tortured looking) Cullen as you prepare to enter the Fade? I mean, he's in love with you and knows he may need to kill you out of his sense of duty. That's got to be tough on the guy don't you think? A mod to add this would really add to the immersion factor in the whole mage-Cullen-love scenario.

I had a lot of trouble with Frosty in the beginning too. This tutorial helped me. Maybe it will help you too? https://video.search.yahoo.com/search/video?fr=mcafee&ei=UTF-8&p=dai+frosty+tutorial&type=E210US91088G91643#id=5&vid=89cfa31c1b239a0c51c570690d789b34&action=click

After Bioware bailed and the Dragon Age Dungeon Keep failed, I could not take any in-game screen shots anymore! This bothered me. I remember finding screenshots in the Dungeon Keep before, but they all just evaporated and nothing new would show up? Then the internal link to see the old ones disappeared too! Recently, through searching the internet, I found someone who suggested changing my Prtscn key to something else. So I changed it to F12. WOW! It worked! Now I'm a happy Ferelden Grey Warden again!

So, ummm, go a little issue with this mod
Faythnu replied to Faythnu's topic in Dragon Age: Inquisition's Troubleshooting
Ah, ok. I'll take that one out then. I misread it as a skin texture mod not a nude mod, my mistake. Thanks for figuring that out for me.
