  1. thanks it worked. when ever i did that (using mouse) it never worked. didn't realize you could use the arrow keys with that. not to mention i have no clue how it got so far off screen since i always use the same monitors and resolution
  2. when i try to edit a script, it looks as if nothing has happened and i cant click anywhere in that tab unless i press 'ESC'. the reason i think its invisible is because after i click 'Edit', type few random letters And then press the 'ESC' key, i get a exit warning popup asking if i want to discard changes even though the script editor isn't visibly there. its very weird and it hasn't happened to other that i know. just in case some are wondering. no i don't get script doesn't compile errors. this is different. removing and re-installing the Creation Kit does nothing. external editors not optional so please don't suggest it, i just want to know a fix for it and not a 'use something else(like notepad++)' kind of fix.
  3. one thing that is a shame is that there is only 1 "new game+" that can be repeated endlessly. Is it possible for someone to make it so it can go upto "new game+9" with each "new game+" being more difficult and rewarding? and then have the last "new game+9" be endless can this be done?
  4. I was not talking about this as a question within a playthough, but through the CK. If you had read all of what I have said or hadn't skim-read it, you would of understood this.
  5. how does it choose the best weapon/armour to be equipped over the default gear of a follower? I've been working on something and I've been trying to look for a way to get the damage value of a weapon through scripting. but no luck After pondering a while I remembered that a follower could upgrade its gear if the item added to its inventory was considered better then the one currently equipped(but of course I know that it's not reliable as it doesn't always equip the better gear....)
  6. Is it possible to port things from Dragons domga to Skyrim? and how would one go about it if possible? I've never ported stuff before so i'd appreciate the info
  7. Is it possibe to port things from Dragons domga to Skyrim? and how would one go about it if possible? I've never ported stuff before so i'd appreciate the info EIDT: it would be better to post on DD forums right.... hmmm
  8. ooh thanks. already knew about Temtra Thief(think everyone knows that artists work) but the other look really good too.
  9. does anyone know of an armour mod for female characters that's beautiful and still protective at the same time. from what i've seen its either semi-nude or fully covered when it comes to original armour replacing mod. mainly an agile light female armour that shows some/decent amount of skin but not too skimpy. as a minimal example Clementine's armour from Overlord, yes there is some skimpy parts(only the lower area) but her armour still has needed protection and is perfect for her fighting style which allows her to be very agile and allows her to take down foes a lot stronger then her. link to a pic or just google her to see
  10. what is the script/trigger that makes the player mount a horse?
  11. what about for creatures? I've duped the WolfRace but no matter what i do it stays invisible
  12. I cant find this old-ish video where this guy shows you how to create a saber mount that was very good but all i can find is a video that only shows you how to grab the saddle node from the horse nif file but not the whole process
  13. So I want my NPC to move from One World space to another in an immersive manner but everytime i try nothing works properly! any help here?
  14. I have yet to try this mod out but from what I've read this is the mod everyone needs and deserves. I chose that she should have conjuration but of course that's because from what I've read she is not just a healer but a really damn good mage that has a healer preference, this doesn't mean she should be limited to very specific spell types. Also the poll says "conjuration spells" not necromancy spells, this doesn't mean that she will 100% be given dead raising spells. the way i see it the different types of conjuration are: Summoning from the realm of the dead Elemental summoning conjuring weapons familiar summoning (yeah there is only one spell but hey! don't be cruel) now an evil healer would have necromancy but I'd say shes not evil and conjuring weapons is more fit for a warrior type mage, so I'd say summoning elementals and familiars would better suit her if she does get conjuration spells but of course then again being able to summon those things would make her less of a healer and more of a DPS Mage. or you could have her summon an elemental of light or something rather that would help heal allies but first you'd need to create it first though ----------------- on an other note I'd like to talk about this one. "No, there's little lore-based reasoning for a sneak-priestess" for all you people that chose this one(not hate'n on ya but just think about it a bit more) right, say your a priest(ess)/healer of a group in an anime fantasy type world and your group is going into dangerous lands, do you think that you could simply walk straight through thinking that sneaking is beneath you or that it shouldn't apply to you. in my opinion you'd either have a great chance of getting yourself killed and/or getting your group killed it's call the Lore of Survival
  15. ii've tried a few things but they fixed nothing(never tried too hard tho) would just like a second opinion atm. i like to play immersive but still have some good mods but they normally become a bit crowded. picture shows where it crashes(its kinda big) load order n plugins
  16. tried this and all it did was make the bugged door an invisible bugged door
  17. the one thing that always annoys me when im trying to play a more immersive game is when even the lowest of bandits are legendary bowmen that can get multiple head shots on you from miles away. most annoying part is if they see you for less then a millisecond while in combat(when your be hide a rock or something) they can get a head shot in before you can even try to shot them is there a mod that decreases their accuracy and reaction speed to be more realistic, and/or even to your shots as well.
  18. heyy nexus pplz, i need to find out the names of the 2 borders cells for skyrim. btw i when i say border i mean like the thing that separates countries apart from each other. from what i can remember there is only 2 roads that lead out of skyrim bottom south mid(near helgen) and bottom right south(near riften)
  19. in doughamil's video - Skyrim Creation Kit Tutorial 02: Extending the Quest link - www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3VBVF3vaGA&index=2&list=PLACD7BBE7BB81BDC1 he shows you how to add a bandit and make the bandit spawn only at certain part of the quest. but its not working for me. i've done the 2 Aliases correctly and the line of code in the stages but when in game the bandit does not spawn.
  20. Lizzy ===============Gender - FemaleRace - NordLevel - 1Age - 20 Family Mother - Merchant Father - Hunter background------------- - Lizzy was born and raised in Skyrim.- when she was 10, lizzy and her mother moved to Cyrodiil because her mother said she got sick of their life style and that she could make more money from being a merchant in Cyrodiil. her father didn't want to leave and stayed behide to continue the hunters life.- when lizzy turned 20, she started to miss the old times she spent in skyrim as a little girl and decided to travel back there to take up hunting as her father once did. Story------------- - Lizzy enters the borders of Skyrim from the south on a carriage.- she has nothing but the clothes on her and the money that she had spent just to get to Skyrim meaning shes basically broke.- she travels from the border to Whiterun hold to start off her life/adventure.- Lizzy starts to look for work and a place to stay.- She gets lucky hitting two birds with one stone, the Battle-Borns offer her work at their farm and says she can sleep in the hay under the shelter on the farm(not the best sleeping place but at least she has one)- Lizzy works on the farm on for a minimal wage earning a few gold a day for 8 hours of labor.- she saves up gold to be able to buy herself a dagger to defend herself- she then saves up more money to buy gear (iron sword/leather armour/bow and arrows)- when she has some gold to spend in the late afternoon she goes to the Inn for a drink and to hear a few songs before going back to the farm and "Hitting the hay" (hehe a pun).- when she has brought a sword she goes to the companion's and ask to use their training grounds to practice her One-Handed skill in the after hours for a few hours which they gladly allow(some less then others--some companions are dicks).- when she has brought a shield she will also train her blocking at the companions training grounds but at less effectiveness(using a shield to block on a dummy isn't very useful when you think about it)- when she has brought a bow she will also train her archery at the companions training grounds.- when Lizzy has gained enough skill with the bow and has leather armour she will go out on hunting trips to gather hide and meat to sell/trade with the locals as a way of making a living.- few days after some hunting trips she quits working at the farm to become a full on hunter like she originally intended.- after a few months of hunting around Whiterun and her One-handed/blocking/lightArmor skills have reach a certain point she will start traveling to different towns/places/new hunting grounds around Skyrim.- on her journeys she might pick up bounties or quests for extra gold but also extra risk of getting killed herself sadly.- she will interact with certain towns differently depending on the current state of the current town she has traveled to. even more so if she had already visited that said town. i could go into more detail about each town but errh, i'd only worry about it when its time to make that part.(no point in getting way to far ahead) Notes------------- - she may even take upon herself to accept and complete quest that would be given to the player making it impossible for the player to do those quests after she has completed them... only if she survived to claim the reward- if she dies at any point of her time within Skyrim, that would be the end of her life and of course all the stuff she could have done will never happen... obviously since she's dead. - she will have different dialogue depending on the current time and situation in her life. like talking about her past, what she wants to do, what has happened in her life and stuff like that or that she wants to be interdependent and not rely on others like family members to support her. My thoughts on this------------- Lizzy will actually level up herself. there is actually a way that i have found but its not really like how the player levels but its still way better then boring old static, lvled or lvl with player. I think that all the Npc's in Skyrim are boring and lifeless even though they do move around and stuff but its always the same damned thing everyday and barely anything changes unless you (the Dragonborn) did something like complete a certain quest or something. so being able to have this Npc that has a proper life that's not always doing the same damn thing but with different stages of her life that depend on what she has done or happened to herself. A life that is not based on or around the Dragonborn. if you talk to her she wont know who the hell you are and even after been first known as the Dragonborn she still wouldn't magically know or care about it/you as this Dragonborn. but of course you can alter her life in different ways, from trivial things to major things. like interactions with her or killing her yourself or getting her killed by something else somehow or helping her when she does something that might get her killed(increasing her chances of survival), which she may or may not thank you for it. meaning she could get killed on her way to Whiterun, which means nothing will happen at all for she never made it if i do successfully create this awesome npc i will start working on another npc with their own life..... but i doubt that will ever happen based on multiple things. sad but true
  21. You need to Elaborate. Steps you need to do. 1. Find scripts.rar In your C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\Data folder. (If it is not there go to Steam and verify the game cache) 2. Extract the contents scripts.rar to your desktop. 3. Open the extracted file and look for the Source folder it should be in \Scripts\Scripts\Source. 4. Copy the Source folder and drop it in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\Data\scripts and over write when asked. 5. Reinstall the SKSE scripts ( make sure latest version) and over write when asked. http://skse.silverlock.org/ If you have any scripts that you have created in the scripts folder they will not be effected unless of course you have not named them the same as the vanilla versions Noticed that even after you posted that, some people still had problems. I have fixed mine but I had to do it a bit differently. The scripts folder was not originally in the data folder for me as you describe (maybe because of more updates - I don't know). From what i had to do was. 1. find scripts. right click scripts.rar - Extract Here. 2. in Data folder - right click DialogueViews Folder - cut and paste it into the scripts folder. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My little thoughts (i tend to do this a lot) - order is random. I think it was the fact that you didn't mention that the Scripts folder isn't already there. Basically the same thing except you need to actually have a scripts folder before you can place anything in it, since it didn't exist before hand. ^ But of course sometimes you would actually have it already due to others things you did that needed it to exist.... maybe.. my mind wonders bit too far sometimes. One thing i never got was why you said to exact the compressed folder to the desktop? i find it to be unneeded and messy, it just gives you more work to do then needed. Just to show why some people have doubles of the Scripts folder. Scripts.rar - Scripts - Source - DialogueViews If you - Extract Here Scripts - Source DialogueViews If you - Extract Files... Scripts - Scripts - Source - DialogueViews (It will ask you if you want to extract the content to a new folder in the same location, that would be called the same as the compressed folder when extracted. it also gives the chance to change the location and/or re-name the created folder) If you - Extract to (path*)Scripts\ Scripts - Scripts - Source - DialogueViews (Same as Extract Files... but doesn't give you the chance to change the name of the folder that will be created) * Only if right click dragged to another location, the path will be displayed. Edited >it< a thousand time times to change trivial impurities! :D
  22. or how about this what makes the player level in the creation kit and how? i've been looking on the creation kit wiki but i would love it if someone could point me in the right(a better) direction. the creation kit reminders me so much of the WC III world editor even though it very different, it also makes me believe that it is possible.
  23. what about having stages of an NPC's life. so for some time being they are lvl 1 then after certain conditions they become(or are changed to) lvl 10 and so on
  24. heyy nexus pplz. i was just thinking and now i'm wondering if you could make an npc that levels its self, as if that npc was like the player. so far i've only seen npc with unchanging levels or lvlnpc that level with you
