Hi everyone! as said in the title i am looking for players to play with me on Acm on ps3 :D Yea, yea... i know, the game is quiet glitchy and coded with the foot but as a Alien license fan i simply cant stop playing it... I restarted to play it last week but the community became very toxic saddly, now all the ancient players doesnt play fair at all exploiting all the glitches and all the newbies are disgusted by them (at least most of them). So if there is som players that are interested to play with me "FAIRPLAY" (means dont exploit hiding spots or glitches, dont squatt special weapons like smartguns or bazooka, if you already had it, leave it to others after, same for special xenos as aliens and of course even if spitter is ingame and ot a cheat dont use it, i mean c'mon! that an Alien game! not CoD and not meant for campers/snipers! i never used the spitter since i play!). So if you are interested please send me a private message and we will give each other psn account :D) if you have any questions please feel free to ask them on the thread :) hope you will come look at my thread in number!

My very first was Alien 3 on sega megadrive, I loved it and i completed it countless times. Recently discovered the Supernes version... Omg this version is horrible xD Alien 3 megadrive version was very hard in the late levels in the engine core (or whatever its called in english) but the supernes version is very hard at the very begining!

Oh and one last thing about your great science BlackRampage... I am a ranger in my region, you know taking care of the trees, the plants and the animals occasionally. You know where i learned everything about the plants and animals? with the farmers and the ancients of my village ( they never have been scientists but their knowledge is huge on many things). Take the pissenlit for exemple, take the roots, let them dry and then use it as a cure for stomach infections or constipation, how the forest is fertilized by the wild boars returning the ground with their defenses so the pollen and seeds will be planted, Why never chase a fox that go in a rabbit tunnel because they perfectly coexists. Once there was biologists came to do observations about the boars... Results of their researchs : The boars are a calamity for the forest because they destroy the young plants and scares other species... Omg i laughed so much when i heard that haha xD I have many other exemples if you want so my proud science defender, tchuss and farewell!

Now you can all do your researches about it and bring some elements to it that i would have missed :D And for you BlackRampage i have no quarrels with you but you seem to be definitely the "rational" guy with who i couldnt really get along with saddly, I talked about it with my archeo friend today and gave me some interesting theories especially about the Jormungandr legend and some text he read once. Wait. You just said science is based on theories. Then you said you have another vision of things. What's your vision based on? Theories. Actually, it's even worse: Wishful thinking. "I cannot explain it, therefore I hope it's some kind of Lovecraftian entity." You're not even right about science based on theories though. By its very definition science cannot be "based on theories" because then it would not be science. Science is based on observation and experiments. The "theories" part is mostly rationalizing based on the aforementioned observations and experiments. Pot>kettle. Actually, no. I don't "believe" in works of fiction. Exactly why I'm coming up with rational explanations. I thought you said you had "another vision of things"? So, as I understand it, you don't really agree with science (because it's, according to you, based on theories) but you don't reject everything about modern science either. So you're basically just cherry-picking modern science and applying wishful thinking to whatever parts you don't agree with. Take a look at the books i mentioned in first page of the thread :) i dont think you can really apprehend my way to think lad ;) And even if you dont want to admit it All modern sciences are based on theories or from works of older scientist of other centuries, i have some archeologist friends, biologists, botanists, those observations and experiments you talk about are concluded with the interpretations of a bunch of people with their own comprehension based on what they learned so (and its logic as you seem touched by the "Scully syndrom") its obviously not objective but subjective and many scientists are constantly in questioning about what the supposedly "proved" facts given by precursors or their own colleagues ;) I dont pretend being a scientist but more of an adventurer who lived some experiences of life wich made me open minded on many things. And as i said before i have no difficulties to believe some unknown creature could have dragg the female white shark hundreds of meters deep in a few seconds, now you can bring all the "facts" you want about pressure or gravity or whatever you want :) :* Love<3

I will search for some news but why focusing on a squid? Because its an animal we know? I see you are a hard defender of modern science and rational thinkings wich is not my case ;) I dont reject everything about modern science but have a very deep respect for my celtic origins and the knowledge i inherited from my family and many esoteric and chamanic books i own and who gaves me interesting and impacting way to see things like "Le matin des magiciens" by Louis Pauwels and Jacques Bergier or "Chamanisme celtique : animaux de pouvoir sauvages et mythiques de nos terres" by Gilles Wurtz (Sorry i dont know the english titles of these books). Human is very pretentious and forget everything about its own origins and the knowledge we all had before and i am convinced there is animals we couldnt even imagine living under the seas. Call me a dreamer or stupid believer if you want, i dont care :) but modern science is a very little knowledge aside of what our ancient knowledge is. And i have no difficulty to believe this article or be sceptical about it and absolutely want to rationalize it :)

Believe in what you want "Scully" ;) Even with the pressure its not unrealistic for me that it can happen. Human have to rationalize everything, but our comprehension of the world is mainly based on science, and most sciences are founded and based on theories. I personnaly have another vision of things, Who knows what lies in the deepest and darkest corners of oceans and lands? We can say Lovecraft is a sci-fi horror writter and all those novels are just fictions, but he was well known to be a BIG sleeper who travelled alot in his dreams, and dreams are not only a door to our subconscient but is also connected to the "spirit" of earth itself, and the things he saw in his dreams probably exist in an extra dimensional way. Ancient civilizations knew that lad ;)

Huge fan of Cthulhu Dagon, Nyarlahthotep, and all the Lovecraftian universe, i recently saw the movie "Dagon" for me one of the 3 best adaptations of Lovecraft stories, I have been searching some news on the internet about the waterlife in oceans and seas just after, i found an old thread of 2015 about scientists that were following the developement of a female great white on what they placed a marker and a micro camera in the pacific ocean, suddenly the great white have been grabbed by something and dragged into the deeps by hundred meters in only a few seconds!!! a five meters great white shark dragged into the deeps in only a few seconds!!! A week after they retreived the signal of the marker they placed on her and have found it on the U.S west coast with some parts of the shark's body in pieces... What in the world could do that to one of the most perfect predator of the seas? Cthulhu? Dagon? or one of their childs? Thats what i want to believe.

"Prince of Darkness" by John Carpenter, then decided to watch the rest of his "trilogy of apocalypse". "The thing" who made me get very wary about the neighbor's dog, then finished by "At the mouth of madness" wich was my favorite before i watch "Prince of Darkness". This film tells so much things, I love the way the homeless people are brought round the church and in the street at the sight of everyone, like the denial you cant ignore anymore. And also about the egoism and stupidity of man, The reverand that brings the researcher there and who pass the last part of the movie hiding from the possessed ones, In the end he throw an axe in the mirror to prevent the anti-god to come in... then we can hear him say "We stopped it... I stopped it" after saluate the common effort he have the pretention to bring back everything on him. What about the young woman that sacrified herself to prevent the possessed girl to bing back the anti-god a little bit earlier? Will she be remembered? no... Now she will live in a dimension of torment, Dirty old f*#@er... And there is still so many things to say about that movie, Carpenter is definitely in my favorite realisators That lad is the filmic Lovecraft of modern days no doubt about that.

Ok so i have kinda a problem with the pc version of the game "Alien Trilogy" a 1996 game, i am stucked in the space jockey's ship (You will never hear me call them "the enginneers") so you remember on the second level of that part you have to walk on very slim corridors and not fall into the acid, BUT... As you know on those old Doom-likes you have that damn thing about the mouse that makes your character move when you move it, so i cant pass that level without dying because of this >:(. Someone knows a way to remove that? i make it run with DOSBOX emulator, thanks :)

Erratum : I got Dino crisis for my birthday in 2001, sorry xD but it seems i always had it too <3
