  1. Hi guys, I have Oblivion on Steam, fully modded, and the mod manager I use is Wrye Bash. I would like to have 2 Oblivion installations in order to test different mods combination. What is the best way to do that ? Can I have 2 oblivion folders in the Steam folder (like Oblivion and Oblivion_bak depending on the one I play) with inside each of them 1 Wrye Bash installation and 1 oblivion mods folder (used for the 2 Wrye Bash) ? Do you think this will work correctly ? I read that I could use Mod Organizer , but I don't want to learn how to use a new mod manager. So I ask you if I can do that with WB for Oblivion bought on Steam. Thanks ^^
  2. Package with stolen mods or not, installing FCOM convergence is often a source of trouble and harassment. And some mods are not supported anymore. For someone new to modding, who doesn't want to spend all his free time trying to install old mods, I don't know what is the worst. BUT, DrakeTheDragon, I agree with most of the points you mentioned, I understand the copyright problem ... I didn't think about that during writing, just trying to help. I will edit my previous message, and remove the link I put.
  3. In 10 years I never beat the game. In fact, I never went to Kvatch ahah ^^
  4. Yes I have the goty deluxe edition on STEAM. Here is my load order : (don't know if it helps) I didn't have time to investigate recently, but I will let you know as soon as I find the cause of this problem.
  5. If your question is about a mod manager, use Wrye Bash, this is the best mod manager for Oblivion. I don't advise you to use Nexus Mod Manager for Oblivion. Sometimes Oblivion mods are not installed correctly with NMM.
  6. Hi again, Did you find where the problem comes from ? It seems I have the same issue. When I ride a horse, the game is more "slow" ... logicaly I should move faster on a horse, not the opposite. Thanks
  7. Hi, How is your fps on a horse ? And when you walk ? With your computer, OSR, OR and ENBoost, you should have good performance. So, I think the problem comes from a mod. You should uninstall every mod related to horse riding and see if things are better.
  8. In Oblivion Stutter Remover, use bReplaceHeap = 0 ( more stability than with =1) Also you should look at : - "ENBoost" (but unfortunately, ENBoost can't be use with ENB graphics so you will have to make a choice) - "MoreHeap" I personaly have 4GB patch, OSR, MoreHeap, OblivionReloaded, and my game is very stable (I have 250+ ESP merged, FCOM, BC, UL ....) And I forgot, in your Oblivion.ini, I recommend you to have uGridDistantCount=25 (not more), which the best compromise between performance and visuals for heavily modded games. Hope it helps.
  9. Hello, Which settings in Oblivion Reloaded do not actually work ? Are they enabled in the ini file ? Did you tried to tweak the corresponding parameters in the ini files or in-game ? (maybe the effect is working fine, but it not noticeable)
  10. Hi, Concerning your load order, you should install LOOT and let it sort your load order at your place. I suggest you to install "ENBoost", it helps to have a more stable game and reduces random crashes due to memory management. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/38649/? If your game still crashes with ENBoost, then you should uninstall your mods one by one and test your game in order to identifiate which mod is causing problems. Hope it helps
  11. Yes I do (: First played in 2007 on xbox 360. And now currently modding Oblivion on PC (it is amazing to see what mods can do) For me Oblivion is one of the greatest RPG, and I prefer this game than Skyrim too. Even with its old engine, I think Oblivion is still good to play in 2016 (but not as easy as Skyrim to mod :p)
  12. Hi, Can you please give more details of your problem ? Have you deleted your oblivion.ini file and let the game rebuild it ? What mods are you using ? You should post your load order.
  13. Very nice setup ! (I am curently modding it too) Good choice of ENB, colors, and retextures. You seem to have good FPS too. What "overhaul" mod do you have ? And I agree with you when you say that Oblivion is harder to mod than Skyrim (because of its age, engine limitation …)
  14. Hi, You can use OblivionReloaded (and I think this the best solution) in order to have the colors and saturation you want. After you have installed OR, you will have to look at the "coloring.ini" file and tweak parameters such as gamma, saturation, contrast ... You can adjust the colors ingame by pressing the "o" key. Moreover, you can try to tweak ENB "environment" parameters (you can find them by using the ingame enb GUI) and see if this can help (you can try the gamma and brightness parameters too)
  15. I am not at all an expert of this ^^ this is what I understand (with my simple english): there is no vs, they work together. TES4LOD uses your modlist to generate LOD for new objects (for your UL, or windmills mod ...) And, as you said, Evenstar CW LOD is a pregenerated LOD for vanilla, more fps friendly than RAEVWD I play with that, on my Oblivion (heavily modded, 250esp) and get decent fps
  16. As long as you run TES4LODgen, there should be no problem.
  17. So if I understand well you have an FPS issue, that is why you disabled distant building. I am not an expert of this, but did you try " Evenstar CW LOD", this mod is more FPS friendly that RAEVWD.
  18. Hello, I think it is a missing meshe. First, you should post your load order and sort it with BOSS. If the issue is still here, you may have not installed correctly a mod. So you should uninstall your mods one after one in order to see where the issue comes from. I suggest you to use Wrye Bash to manage/install your mods (WB is the best mod manager for Oblivion)
  19. Hey, For which buildings the "pop-in" appears ? Don't know if it will be useful, but I had a similar issue with the Arictocratic District added by BC. When running the wizard for installing BC with WB, you have the option to see the new aristocratic building added by BC. Disabling this option solved the pop-in problem for me (for this specific building).
  20. Maybe Oblivion runs out of memory in this area because there are a lot of things to load. I am not sure if it can help, but try to purge manually (with Oblivion Reloaded) just before activating the door or fast traveling. If the issue persists even if xulCHorrolHinterland (the better cities version) is disabled so it is probably Better Cities, or the combinaison of Better Cities and UL.
  21. Weird .. I had the exact same issue and I was able to fix it with the right version of ULChorrol .. However I still get very few random CTDs. The CTD happens every time you activate the door ? Did you try disabling xulChorrolHinterland.esp to see if the CTDs persist ?
  22. Hey (: I think is a compatibility issue between Better Cities and UL ChorrolHinterland. You are not using the right version of Chorrol Hinterland. Deactivate xulChorrolHinterland.esp and install the "UL Chorrol Better Ctites Release v 1.2.4" Here: http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/11189/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Foblivion%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D11189&pUp=1 Load it after Better Cities esps and it should work better.
  23. Hi guys, I am getting a weird color change when I am looking at the sky at different angles. Please look at the two files attached. The sky color suddenly becomes lighter (not even progressively) when I look up and reach a certain angle. It doesn't happen at night, so I guess it is related to the sun. Here is my load list Deinstalling my ENB and Oblivion Reloaded didn't fix the issue. Using the Vanilla sky meshes and textures didn't fix the issue. Maybe it is related to All Natural or Natural Environment mod ? Or about HDR ? I can't find Anyone has experienced this ? Thanks
