  1. Turns out there's a mod called Fallout 2287: Gas Masks of the wasteland. See if that fits your requests.
  2. See if that makes a difference. If not, then again, it may be your computer.
  3. Good morning Recovery. Let's see if I can help. Are you installing the mod manually or using the NMM? What does the mod load order look like? Last but not least, go ahead and try to run the mod alone without any other mods and see if the issue is still present. If so, then this will eliminate mod conflicts as a possible cause.
  4. Hmm... That's odd. Is your brother using the same network as you? What operating system do you use and what does he use? I think it's more likely that your computer has a problem, unless other people start reporting the same issue. Worst case scenario, you can download the files on your brother's computer and copy them to yours.
  5. I'd love to see the M1903 Springfield rifle. Everyone always wants Russian weapons (AKs, SVT, Mosin Nagant, etc,), and I have no idea why. https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/5638852-m1903-mark-i-springfield-rifle/&do=findComment&comment=50216072
  6. I wouldn't mind looking into doing this for you. I'm very limited on what I can do in the GECK, but this shouldn't be too hard. Send me a message and I'll get back to you on it.
  7. I think this would make a great addition to the game. It could also be part of a pack of different sniper rifles and other sniper gear.
  8. The way I would approach this would be as follows: 1. Create the animation. 2. Create the script that will activate/deactivate the animation. 3. Link the script to a key/button (for example, holding the crouch button to go prone). 4. Modify the script to adjust movement speed while prone. 5. Modify the script to handle detection chances. 6. Modify the script to disable it when power armor is being used. 7. Create a version that can be used by NPCs. 8. Add bonuses such as extra stability when using scopes. 9. Rejoice that the work is over and the mod was a success.
  9. I'd suggest trying Google Chrome and seeing if that helps at all. Firefox should be fine, but if chrome doesn't work either, then maybe you have an issue with security policies or maybe it could be Nexus related.
  10. Hey Aerbyt. Try disabling one mod at a time until it works. It's tedious, but hopefully it'll work.
  11. Have you tried asking nicely? Just kidding. In all seriousness, did you try a good ol' fashioned manual install? If that doesn't work, then you may just have to deal with the fact that you can't look at HD nude bodies in Fallout 4. (For the record, my personal opinion on nude mods is, in short, that I don't like/approve of them. However, I still don't mind providing help on general troubleshooting of such a mod. Otherwise, I keep my mouth shut.)
  12. Hey Crusher. Mind answering a few questions first? What are the names of mods that are giving you issues? Also, what Internet browser and version are you using? And on a side note, why have you waited so long to ask about this? Just curious.
  13. I think the thread is left so others who have a similar problem can find and read it. Glad you got the problem resolved.
  14. I would suggest disabling mods one by one starting with the ones that would seem to be the most likely culprit. If you reach the end of the list and you still have a problem, you can try doing a clean install.
  15. Thanks Fem! Yes, I've tried that but so far I have not received any responses.
  16. I recently had to purge my library of mods and need the older versions of two mods: Tactical Flashlights and Pet Call Feed Dogmeat. I am not sure as to which versions of these I had, but I do know the file size. PFC Dogmeat is 1.73 MB, and is the version where you can only pet him while talking to him. Tactical Flashlight is the really old version that was 2.75 MB in size, and had an ESP file named "Tactical Flashlights.esp". It is also a version where Incandescent bulbs are labeled as being assembled in 1985. I need the old versions of these as they are critical to the play-through that I'm using, and the updated versions throw off the immersion and some other factors for me. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
  17. I'd be interested in seeing this completed as well.
  18. I'm considering building or buying a new gaming computer since my current one is five years old, and the best framerate I get from Fallout 4 on its lowest settings without any mods is just under 28 FPS. What I'm looking for is preferably a laptop that will easily hold 60 FPS with lots of mods installed. What are some good suggestions? I'd like the top of the line, and prefer to have a lot of storage, RAM, and processing power. I don't plan on using VR equipment or playing online games such as Battlefield or Destiny 2.
  19. Thanks for the heads up and the referral. I'll try and find him, but I've had no luck so far. In the meantime, I still would appreciate help from anyone else.
  20. I'm not experienced in modding Fallout 4, so I can't really help with this. However, I'd like to go on the record and give this idea my support. I think it would be great to have something like this where one can test out new weapons that are either added by a mod or found in game. The built in developer range (accessible through mods or console commands), is pretty bland. As an added idea, some method of damage falloff indication would be nice too.
  21. Hello! I've had an idea for an M1903 Mark I Springfield rifle for a while, but I do not have the abilities to create it on my own. There are already other WWII weapons out there, such as the M1 Garand, M1911 Colt .45 (which was also used in WWI), and the game default M1A1 Thompson (enhanced by other mods), so adding the M1903 Mark I Springfield seems like something that should be done. With that said, I'd like to ask the community to lend me a hand by donating their time to create one. First, a little background on the M1903 Mark I: In 1918, a top secret device known as the Pedersen device (created by John Pedersen of Remington Arms Mfg. Co.) was created for the M1903 Springfield rifle. This device would replace the bolt within 15 seconds, converting the 5 round bolt action rifle into a 40 round .30 caliber semi-automatic rifle. Roughly 100,000 units were made to be used during the Spring 1919 Offensive, but of course, that never happened as the war ended on November 11, 1918. The fate of the Pedersen Devices is another story though. So that brings me to my request. There are many rifle mods out there, including an amazing Mosin Nagant. I'd like to see an M1903 Mark I Springfield now. I'd like the mod to include the following: Texture is accurate to an M1903 Mark I Springfield. This means that the factory stamps read SPRINGFIELD, not International or Remington (although there were rifles made by these companies, I'd like a true Springfield). The wood should also be a nice dark color (optional mods that change the color will be considered). Model has an ejection port cut into the left hand side. Model uses milled pieces (I can explain/negotiate this in more detail later if someone is willing to follow up on this project). Weapon mods would include the following: M1906 16" Bayonette Front Ring Sight Unertl Scope (close, medium, and long distance available). Pedersen Device (to convert to a semi-auto rifle) The default ammo for the rifle should be .308 (unless someone would also like to create a special .30-06 ammo to include in the mod). When the Pedersen device is applied, the ammo should change to .38 (unless again, someone would like to make custom .30 rounds). Various bolt modifications that increase chamber-cycling (fire rate) speed (no model change needed). Various barrel modifications that increase accuracy (model would not change, but accuracy would improve. EX: better rifling.) Single or Stripper Clip mod (allows loading one bullet at a time (may be a requirement depending on position of scope) or use of a stripper clip to load all five bullets at once). The following weapon mods can be included, however in order to keep things realistic, I'd like to request that they appear to be attached to the rifle in obvious ways, such as visibly duct taped or tied on with rope (this is an old gun from 1903, and was never intended to be tricked out). Otherwise, I'd prefer they be left out: Custom red dot sight (preferably not the default in-game model). Night vision scope (perhaps a small box or filter that is taped onto the Unertl scope to make it a hybrid). Laser sight and/or flashlight. There should not be any mods that increase the magazine capacity, as this rifle was meant to only fire five rounds at most before having to be reloaded, and the Pedersen device already increases the magazine size to 40 rounds (even though they're smaller rounds). Also, there should not be any mods that change the caliber (aside from the earlier mentioned Pedersen Device), as the only caliber this rifle is capable of firing in real life are the .30-06 and the .30 pistol. That's all I have for right now. I will mention that this mod will need to be made for the Xbox One as the primary platform, with PC being considered the secondary platform. I am also more than willing to help in any way that I can with the creation of this mod. Thank you for your time in reading this. Respectfully, Gray Wolf
  22. I've looked but can't find anything anywhere, and from the research I've done, I don't know how to implement the code I do know. I want to make a custom ammolist (easy), where if one type of ammo is chosen, there will be a clip size of ten, whereas if another type is chosen, the projectile, damage, sound, and clip size is changed. Anyone have any ideas on this? Thanks.
  23. Are you sure? Because looking it up in the GECK, it's shown as being used several times.
  24. I've looked everywhere online for information regarding the Load Screen Type section in the Fallout New Vegas GECK and can't find anything. I'm ultimately trying to change the way the loading screens are displayed (not the images) to look like the way it did in Fallout 3, where your XP and level are displayed, as well as three random stats, a tip, and the current objective. Can anyone shed some light on this mysterious feature in the GECK? Thanks.
